  • Magento - Using alternative "reviews count" on category list page

    Hi All I noticed that on the category list page, the number of reviews (pulled from frontend/base/default/template/review/helper/summary_short.phtml) lists the full amount of reviews for an item, not the amount available to the store view you’re on. So, for example (using the sample data) the Samsung MM-A900M Ace has 5 reviews - however, when you click that link and are taken to the reviews page, it actually just has 2 (as only 2 are available to the English view). But on the reviews page, the review count is correct and says 2 reviews (this time pulled from frontend/base/default/template/review/product/view/count.phtml). Is there any way to use this review count on the category list?

  • MySQL GROUP BY with three tables

    I have the following tables: posts (post_id, content, etc) comments (comment_id, post_id, content, etc) posts_categories (post_category_id, post_id, category_id) and this query: SELECT `p`.*, COUNT(comments.comment_id) AS cmts, posts_categories.*,comments.* FROM `posts` AS `p` LEFT JOIN `posts_categories` ON `p`.post_id = `posts_categories`.post_id LEFT JOIN `comments` ON `p`.post_id = `comments`.post_id GROUP BY `p`.`post_id` There are three comments on post_id=1 and four in total. In posts_categories there are two rows, both assigned to post_id=1. I have four rows in posts. But if I query the statement above I get a result of 6 for COUNT(comments.comment_id) at post_id=1. How is this possible? I guess the mistake is somewhere in the GROUP BY clause but I can't figure out where. Any suggestions?

    Hi, I currently deployed an SSIS package (Developed on the 2005 version) (developed on my local server) in a pre production environment for testing. I have used the Row count transform to get a count of good/bad records. It works fine on my local system . However when i deploy this on the pre prod server, the row count does not work! (as in it does not recognize the vairbales i have assigned to the relevant transofm - no drop down abvaliable in the variables attribute part. tried deleting and adding a new transoform.. no luck. Strangely this does not work for any of the other packages also present/deployed on the same server (tried this out by dropping an rc tramsform onto an existing package... same problem) Any suggestions?     Hi all, I'm trying to put togeter a pivot table from an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheets look similar to the following: DeptHead, Emp, Increment x, A, 2.5% x, B, y, C, 1.5% y, D, y, E, 2.0% I would like to make a pivot table that looks like the following; DeptHead, CountOfEmp, CountOfIncrement x, 2, 1 y, 3, 2 So it provides a count of total number of Emps and total number Increments for each DeptHead ignoring the blanks. I have tried to do this in many ways in Pivot table, but the two counts are only appearing in rows and not in columns as above. Is there any way to achieve this please? Thanks

    I am looking for patterns in the user journey of converted customers. I have each customers details in a row and then each step of the journey in it's own cell in columns, with up to 12 steps for each customer. For example if I want to find the count of every customer who at any point in their journey has for example, downloaded a pdf and contacted us via email, what formula is best suited to this? I've tried countifs but couldn't get it to work over multiple columns. Thank you.

I want to count the number of times that the string Rerun is found within a certain date range. For example A B test1 11/2/2012 test2 11/7/2012 test1_Rerun_1 11/10/2012 test2_Rerun_1 11/16/2012 I am doing a weekly report so want to show how many tests had to be rerun in a particular week. so in the above example: week ending 11/2/12 would return 0 (look for dates 10/26/12 and <=11/2/12 with substring "Rerun") week ending 11/9/12 would return 0 (look for dates 11/2/12 and <= 11/9/12 with substring "Rerun") week ending 11/16/12 would return 2 (look for dates 11/9/12 and <=11/16/12 with substring "Rerun")

    EDIT: I've edited this post completely, so that the new description of my problem includes all the details and not only what I previously considered relevant. Maybe this new description will help to solve the problem I'm facing. I have two entity classes, Customer and CustomerGroup. The relation between customer and customer groups is ManyToMany. The customer groups are annotated in the following way in the Customer class. @Entity public class Customer { ... @ManyToMany(mappedBy = "customers", fetch = FetchType.LAZY) public Set<CustomerGroup> getCustomerGroups() { ... } ... public String getUuid() { return uuid; } ... } The customer reference in the customer groups class is annotated in the following way @Entity public class CustomerGroup { ... @ManyToMany public Set<Customer> getCustomers() { ... } ... public String getUuid() { return uuid; } ... } Note that both the CustomerGroup and Customer classes also have an UUID field. The UUID is a unique string (uniqueness is not forced in the datamodel, as you can see, it is handled as any other normal string). What I'm trying to do, is to fetch all customers which do not belong to any customer group OR the customer group is a "valid group". The validity of a customer group is defined with a list of valid UUIDs. I've created the following criteria query Criteria criteria = getSession().createCriteria(Customer.class); criteria.setProjection(Projections.countDistinct("uuid")); criteria = criteria.createCriteria("customerGroups", "groups", Criteria.LEFT_JOIN); List<String> uuids = getValidUUIDs(); Criterion criterion = Restrictions.isNull("groups.uuid"); if (uuids != null && uuids.size() > 0) { criterion = Restrictions.or(criterion, Restrictions.in( "groups.uuid", uuids)); } criteria.add(criterion); When executing the query, it will result in the following SQL query select count(*) as y0_ from Customer this_ left outer join CustomerGroup_Customer customergr3_ on this_.id=customergr3_.customers_id left outer join CustomerGroup groups1_ on customergr3_.customerGroups_id=groups1_.id where groups1_.uuid is null or groups1_.uuid in ( ?, ? ) The query is exactly what I wanted, but with one exception. Since a Customer can belong to multiple CustomerGroups, left joining the CustomerGroup will result in duplicated Customer objects. Hence the count(*) will give a false value, as it only counts how many results there are. I need to get the amount of unique customers and this I expected to achieve by using the Projections.countDistinct("uuid"); -projection. For some reason, as you can see, the projection will still result in a count(*) query instead of the expected count(distinct uuid). Replacing the projection countDistinct with just count("uuid") will result in the exactly same query. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? === "Problem" solved. Reason: PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair). I had a branch in my code and didn't realize that the branch was executed. That branch used rowCount() instead of countDistinct().

  • PHP: Check if 0?

    Hi, I am using a class which returns me the value of a particular row and cell of an excel spreadsheet. To build up an array of one column I am counting the rows and then looping through that number with a for() loop and then using the $array[] = $value to set the incrementing array object's value. This works great if none of the values in a cell are 0. The class returns me a number 0 so it's nothing to do with the class, I think it's the way I am looping through the rows and then assigning them to the array... I want to carry through the 0 value because I am creating graphs with the data afterwards, here is the code I have. // Get Rainfall $rainfall = array(); for($i=1;$i<=$count;$i++) { if($data->val($i,2) != 'Rainfall') // Check if not the column title { $rainfall[] = $data->val($i,2); } } For your info $data is the excel spreadsheet object and the method $data->val(row,col) is what returns me the value.   • [AS3/C#] Byte encryption ( DES-CBC zero pad )

    Hi there, Currently writing my own AMF TcpSocketServer. Everything works good so far i can send and recieve objects and i use some serialization/deserialization code. Now i started working on the encryption code and i am not so familiar with this stuff. I work with bytes , is DES-CBC a good way to encrypt this stuff? Or are there other more performant/secure ways to send my data? Note that performance is a must :). When i call: ReadAmf3Object with the decrypter specified i get an: InvalidOperationException thrown by my ReadAmf3Object function when i read out the first byte the Amf3TypeCode isn't specified ( they range from 0 to 16 i believe (Bool, String, Int, DateTime, etc) ). I got Typecodes varying from 97 to 254? Anyone knows whats going wrong? I think it has something to do with the encryption part. Since the deserializer works fine w/o the encryption. I am using the right padding/mode/key? I used: http://code.google.com/p/as3crypto/ as as3 encryption/decryption library. Resulting sub-matrix can be square or rectangle. Return value can be size of the largest sub-matrix of all 0's also, for example, here 3 X 4.

  • Why is the HttpContext.Cache count always zero?

    I set up a few pages with OutputCache profiles and confirmed that they are being cached by using multiple browsers and requests to retrieve the page with a timestamp which matched across all requests. When I try to enumerate the HttpContect.Cache it is always empty. Any ideas what is going on here or where I should be going for this information instead?

  • Socket Read In Multi-Threaded Application Returns Zero Bytes or EINTR (104)

    Hi. Am a c-coder for a while now - neither a newbie nor an expert. Now, I have a certain daemoned application in C on a PPC Linux. I use PHP's socket_connect as a client to connect to this service locally. The server uses epoll for multiplexing connections via a Unix socket. A user submitted string is parsed for certain characters/words using strstr() and if found, spawns 4 joinable threads to different websites simultaneously. I use socket, connect, write and read, to interact with the said webservers via TCP on their port 80 in each thread. All connections and writes seems successful. Reads to the webserver sockets fail however, with either (A) all 3 threads seem to hang, and only one thread returns -1 and errno is set to 104. The responding thread takes like 10 minutes - an eternity long:-(. *I read somewhere that the 104 (is EINTR?), which in the network context suggests that ...'the connection was reset by peer'; or (B) 0 bytes from 3 threads, and only 1 of the 4 threads actually returns some data. Isn't the socket read/write thread-safe? I use thread-safe (and reentrant) libc functions such as strtok_r, gethostbyname_r, etc. *I doubt that the said webhosts are actually resetting the connection, because when I run a single-threaded standalone (everything else equal) all things works perfectly right, but of course in series not parallel. There's a second problem too (oops), I can't write back to the client who connect to my epoll-ed Unix socket. My daemon application will hang and hog CPU 100% for ever. Yet nothing is written to the clients end. Am sure the client (a very typical PHP socket application) hasn't closed the connection whenever this is happening - no error(s) detected either. Any ideas? I cannot figure-out whatever is wrong even with Valgrind, GDB or much logging. Kindly help where you can.

    If this was previously talked about, I'm sorry, I had a hard time searching on this. I am calculating a depreciation rate. One portion of our calculation is 1/life in months. My table stores this data in a decimal field. I tried test = 1 / estimatedLife; but the result of the calculation of test (which is defined as a decimal) is 0. Say the estimated life is 36 months. So 1/36 should equal 0.02777778. Any thoughts of what I am doing wrong? BTW, I changed the test to a double and had the same result.

    I'm trying to serialise an object using simple xml (http://simple.sourceforge.net/). The object setup is pretty simple: @Root(name = "order_history") public class OrderHistory { @Element(name = "id", required = false) public int ID; @Element(name = "id_order_state") public int StateID; @Element(name = "id_order") public int OrderID; } The problem is when I create a new instance of this class without an ID: OrderHistory newhistory = new OrderHistory(); newhistory.OrderID = _orderid; newhistory.StateID = _stateid; and I serialize it via simple xml: StringWriter xml = new StringWriter(); Serializer serializer = new Persister(); serializer.write(newhistory, xml); it still reads 0 in the resulting xml: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <order_history> <id>0</id> <id_order>2</id_order> <id_order_state>8</id_order_state> </order_history> I'm guessing the reason for this is that the ID property is not null, since integers can't be null. But I really need to get rid of this node, and I'd rather not remove it manually. Any clues anyone?
