  • Exchange 2010 SP1 won't allow messages to be deleted in OWA

    Before upgrading to Service Pack 1 of Exchange 2010, OWA worked fine. We were able to do everything with no issues. After the upgrade, we can no longer delete messages within OWA unless we open up the message and delete it using the delete button inside of the message window. The error we get is this: We've searched online and only found several posts pointing us to rename or delete the web.config file in the inetpub directory. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Upon receiving any message the rule reports an error but gives no explanation of what the error is. My goal here is simply to make an auto responder, if there is a simpler way/workaround I would love any help getting the to work as I am leaving town very shortly.

  • How do I make a LDAP query-based dynamic distribution group in Exchange 2010

    I see that there were ways in Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 to just put in an LDAP query and it would populate the group for you. Is there any way to do that in Exchange 2010? I know there's dynamic distribution groups but I don't want to create the group based on one of their pre-set queries and I don't want to mess around with "custom attributes". I just want to put an LDAP query in there and make it run it to populate the distribution group.

    Is it possible to use Google Chrome Frame in IE 6 to access a SharePoint 2010 site without displaying the WarnOnUnsupportedBrowsers message. The message I get is this: Your Web browser will have problems displaying this web page. Changes to the site may not function properly. For a better experience, please update your browser to its latest version. Ideally, I'm hoping to only have to make changes to the client, but if the site itself needs to modified I can probably get it done.

    I have an Exchange 2010 server listening on a couple of different domains. So it receives and sends emails destinated and originating from several domains. Now we want to get rid of a specific domain gradually and what I would like to do now is get a list of all the emails received or sent using that specific domain that we wants to get rid of. So we can figure how this domain is still getting used before getting rid of it. Thanks.

    When ever I run an Exchange 2010 SP1 Discovery Search I get the following error: "Search failed as the results link to the target mailbox '[email protected]' couldn't be generated." I have checked to ensure the discovery mailbox is enabled I created a new Discovery mailbox. I get the same error with both Mailboxes. The user account I am using to run the search is a member of the "Discovery Management" security group. I get the same error whether I use the Shell or the ECP to run the search

The list should have all the users' names, then total of sent and received emails. I have tried the code below and tried to change this to no avail.     I have outlook 2007. Is there a way in 2007 or the 2010 version to have all the emails posted to read for a certain contact. When I click history it takes about 2 minutes for it to load and is frustrating. As simple as this seems I simply want to see all the emails gone back and forth with a contact when I open that contact.

    I'm trying to remove the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (x64). It says it's uninstalled when I try to remove it from Control Panel->Programs and Features, but the list item is still there, and if I try to remove it again, it brings up the prompt to install it. How do I get rid of this program completely (or at least remove it from the add/remove list)? I don't have Microsoft Office installed (or Visual Studio).

  • OS won’t boot during Visual Studio 2010 install on vista 64

    I am installing Visual Studio 2010 on a vista 64 bits machine. During the install it asked for a restart. Since that, vista won't load. I tried restore to previous good configuration - didn't help. I am only able to boot it using safe mode with networking. When I did that, it continued the vista part of the install (the screen with the 3 out of 3 updates) but after that when I restarted again - still fails.

  • Can't Access TFS 2010 Beta 2 from Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 when domain joined

    I'm experimenting with an installation of TFS 2010 Beta 2 on a virtual machine under VirtualBox running Windows Server 2008. When I've got the server in a workgroup, I can connect to it from Visual Studio just fine, as long as I provide credentials for a local user on the server machine when prompted by the "Connect to Team Foundation Server" dialog. The desktop I'm running Visual Studio on is joined to a domain. However, when I join the server to the domain, I can no longer connect to it from Visual Studio. I get a pretty generic error message: "TF31002 - Unable to connect to team foundation server". It gives me several different possible problems, including an incorrect address or an incorrect username and password. I've already added the domain Windows identity with which I'm logged on the the desktop to the TFS Admins group on the server, so I don't think it's a username/password problem. I've also tried putting the literal IP address of the server in the dialog address box instead of the machine name, but still no dice. I made sure that network discovery was enabled on the server, too, and can navigate to "\\webserver2008" in Windows Explorer without any problems. Shouldn't be a firewall problem, since the TFS install creates the appropriate exceptions in Windows Firewall. It's all a bit confusing, since it seems to work when the server is in a workgroup. Note: I'm a dev, not an admin, so there are many subtleties of server administration with which I'm not familiar. Please make no assumptions about what I may or may not have tried; what may be obvious to you may have never occurred to me. Thanks in advance!

    I have developed a macro that does a whole bunch of things for me based on a few things. (Importing files). The file names are dated dd_mm_yyyy and right now I enter them into a sheet where the macro can call the information. Not really wanting this I designed a userform where the user could enter the "dd", "mm", "yyyy" and how many consecutive days of files there were. Ex. Say 28_06_2011.txt 29_06_2011.txt there would be one consecutive day. I want to be able to call the information entered in the user-form (day, month, year, and consecutive days) to use in the macro and have been unsuccessful because I don't know how to call that information. Is it similar to referring to a range in a worksheet? Thanks in Advance for any Help.

  • Excel how to get an average for column for rows that meet multiple criteria

    I would like to know the average days between open and close dates for an item with a close date in a particular month. So from the below example in Jan 2013 items 2,5 and 6 were closed (Closed can be RESOLVED or CANCELLED status), each were open for 26, 9 and 6 days respectivly. So of the jobs that have a closed date in Jan 2013 (between 01/01/2013 and 13/02/13) they have an average open time (between open and close date) of 13.67 days to 2dp. I have tried a few ways to get this to work and i think the issue I am having is with the AVERAGE function. First time using a forum so apologies if my question is unclear.     I have got a table set up in one sheet with "transactions". Each row contains a name of a vendor, the amount owed or paid depending on transaction type, and the due date/transaction date. Here is some simplified sample data: Vendor Date Invoice Payment Vendor A 6/30 $200 Vendor A 6/30 ($200) Vendor B 7/5 $500 Vendor B 7/5 ($500) Vendor C 10/28 $50 Vendor A 10/30 $100 Vendor C 11/15 $50 I have already built a PivotTable from that table to group these transactions by vendor and sum the remainder owed. What I'm trying to figure out is how to, for each vendor, get the next due date (min date of the group, excluding dates < Today()), or if there is no next due date then I want to see the max date for that group. Here is what my PivotTable looks like, plus the date column I'd like to add (assuming Today() = 10/23): Vendor Date Owed Vendor B 7/5 - Vendor C 10/28 $100 Vendor A 10/30 $100 I know calling it next due date might not be so accurate if I end up with the date of a payment in that column, but I'm ok with that. tl;dr : I want to find the next earliest date within each group, or the last date. How do I do this?

Lets say I have 3/2/2012, 3/16/2012, 3/30/2012 and some gaps and then again biweekly dates. generate 3/9/2012, 3/16/2012, 3/23/2012, 3/30/2012 and so on...I was trying to use INDEX and MATCH but it would give me biweekly again.   • Cannot click send button in Outlook (+ Exchange) for unknown addresses

    Hi, I have a very unusual problem. I have Outlook 2010 connected to Exchange 2010. This can send emails perfectly to known addresses (that is, addresses in the address book or ones that have been sent to previously). However, if I put in an address that is unknown, I cannot actually click the Send button in Outlook. (it simply does nothing). Corresponding to this I get errors in the Event Log for each Send click stating "The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.". However, Outlook shows as connected the whole time, pings do not break, and I have no reason to suspect it has lost connection. To further complicate matters, Outlook is fine on all other PCs, and this was all perfect until I installed BitDefender on the PC in question and the Exchange Server. Outlook was still fine on these other PCs while BitDefender was installed, but I have removed it from the PC in question and the Server just in case (no success). Summary: Outlook encounters Exchange connectivity issues when sending to unknown (new) email addresses that prevent the Send button actually working at all. This is isolated to one machine and occurred after installation of AV/Firewall software which has since been thoroughly removed. If you have any potential solutions I'd love to hear them, as I will be resorting to reformatting the PC in question, and probably removing Exchange because I'm sick of its issues if I cannot resolve this soon. Here's an example: A B C D E F Jump Smith 5 Jump Smith 8 Run Naylor 2 Swim Fran 4 Swim Fran 7 Jog Dylan 1 Jump Fran 3 Jog Smith 4 So I want to match column A and B with D and E but still have both number related C for 2011 and F for 2012.     I am looking for patterns in the user journey of converted customers. I have each customers details in a row and then each step of the journey in it's own cell in columns, with up to 12 steps for each customer. For example if I want to find the count of every customer who at any point in their journey has for example, downloaded a pdf and contacted us via email, what formula is best suited to this? I've tried countifs but couldn't get it to work over multiple columns. Thank you.

  • Macro is not Cooperating with Quotations in Excel VBA

    I Have a macro containing a line that will change the formula of a cell using R1C1 formula type. The formula is: ActiveCell.FormulaR1C1 = _ "=IF(R[0]C[-2]=0,"",(R[0]C[-20]-R[0]C[-16]))" When ever I attempt to run the macro it always comes up with a dialog box saying Run-time error '1004': Application-defined or object-defined error. And when you click debug it highlights those 2 lines in the macro. And I can't figure out how to fix it. Can anyone help?
