  as you may know very well, every individual related with software development is somehow related to the science or the activity that the program was made for, I am currently working as a programmer for a company that is dedicated to build enterprise software for ensurance business, before this job, I was working with a travel agency developing extra modules for the CRM they use (VTiger), so I can say I am related to ERP/CRM, the fact is, I would like to change this to another activity, like developing video games. I'd like to start developing games, by getting a job or making my own project, but: 1) I have no experience developing video games, is that an obstacle if I want to get a job? if is that so, how can I solve it? 2) if I want to make my own project I will need more people, like a graphic disigner or some others, isn't there a way to make the whole game by my own?

• Can I host my website through gitlab like you can with github pages?

  I would love to use git to host my website, and would love a platform I can log into online to go along with it (something like Github). You would think in which case, that Github pages would be the perfect route for me, though I don't want to use Github pages. I would like to host this all on my own servers like you do with Github enterprise (but for free). I have found Gitlab and was wondering if there is anyway I can use Gitlab like Github pages. Is it possible?

  I have modular java application which consists of 40 modules. Some of these modules needs to expose external APIs which other modules or any external integration should be using. The system runs as a desktop application and each module is bundled as a separate jar file. My plan is to bundle the external api as a separate jar.   That's it - I got tired from the constant problems on and about Windows I'm having. Network issues, performance issues, compatibility issues... But I'll seriously miss OneDrive integration (all my files are there). There is some kind of app that can sync with it? And what is the easiest way to install JDK? Through PPAs? Note that I have no plans to keep Windows, I'll just replace the d*mn thing with Ubuntu (maybe Mint).

  I'm thinking of developing software for Ubuntu and other related Linux-based distros (like Linux Mint). But currently am at a loss for where to start. Would learning Python be enough/good? And what are the other things I should know about before starting this kind of developing? And will I be able to publish my apps to a software store like Ubuntu store even if I am from outside USA/UK? If not, what are the options I have to make my apps reach the audience? As a lot of users had asked, I intend to build applications only for Linux (I'm thinking of Gnome) that will be a bit business and enterprise oriented. Currently I am an Oracle certified Java developer in J2SE and J2ME. And I know Python a bit.

Why do I need to enclose in quotes on RH? There are no spaces in the variable name?
