• Search sort by parameter match count in the query? PostgreSQL

  I am working on a search query in PostgreSQL, and one of the things I do is sort my query results by the number of parameters matched. I have no clue how this can be done. Does anyone have a suggestion or solution? Table brand color type engine Ford Blue 4-door V8 Maserati Blue 2-door V12 Saturn Green 4-door V8 GM Yellow 1-door V4 Current Query SELECT brand FROM table WHERE color = 'Blue' or type = '4-door' or engine = 'V8' Result Should Be Ford (3 match) Saturn (2 match) Maserati (1 match)

• Make backups of Dropbox folder every week

  I have a Dropbox folder which is shared by couple of users. I would like to make a backup of this folder that will occur every week and store this backup on another hard drive. I can simply copy the entire folder each time and this will be the backup, but I would like to copy only the files that have been changed or created during that week. I thought of creating a batch script that will check each file in the Dropbox folder recursively and see its modified date. If that date is later then a given one (current backup date) it will copy the file to a folder named BackUP[Date]. Do you think this solution is OK?

  I'm getting the ball rolling on puppet for my environment - and I'd like to have a conditional file resource based on whether or not the module itself contains a file based on a naming convention. So visually, assume a module named 'mysql' and it's layout: mysql/ /files /etc/ my.cnf my.hostname1.cnf my.hostname2.cnf /manifests init.pp ... So I'd like the block to verify if the resource for the module exists or not, and take action accordingly, in pseudo-terms: file { '/etc/my.cnf': if -f 'puppet:///mysql/etc/my.$hostname.cnf' { source => 'puppet:///mysql/etc/my.$hostname.cnf' } else { source => 'puppet:///mysql/etc/my.cnf' } } This way one wouldn't have to manage a csv file or the .pp file with a host specific case statement - is this possible?

• Filter data in sheets from a master sheet

  I have a 'master sheet' with lots of furniture data in it, in column A there are the suppliers names. What I would like is to be able to have my master sheet with all the info and then sub sheets named by supplier; in these sub sheets I would like to reference the master sheet and pull out all of the items that are from that supplier. For example: I would have a sheet called 'Ikea' which would look in the master sheet and search the A column for all entries of 'Ikea'. If present, copy or reference that row 1:12 in the 'ikea' sheet. I would like to do it all dynamically using references rather than copying the data. Also, I would like it to auto update rather than having to run a macro to recalculate it each time. Can this be done with formulars rather than macros?

  What is the easiest way to check if something is a list? A method doSomething has the parameters a and b. In the method, it will loop through the list a and do something. I'd like a way to make sure a is a list, before looping through - thus avoiding an error or the unfortunate circumstance of passing in a string then getting back each letter.   After I failed to install SUSE Linux 10.0, I want to go back to the windows operating system again. but when I want to install windows, my hard drive is not detected, whereas in the BIOS in the detection / known.   Recently I updated Vagrant (v 1.6.3) and I noticed that in the folder of my project there are some new folders and files like: d20140610-11944-1j6n1cz/ d20140610-15421-1pkz3t8/ vagrant20140610-11944-p76ezc vagrant20140610-11944-p76ezc2 vagrant20140610-11944-yt3bhz vagrant20140610-11944-yt3bhz1 vagrant20140610-15421-mfqrig vagrant20140610-15421-mfqrig1 vagrant20140610-15421-y3r71a vagrant20140610-15421-y3r71a2 vagrant20140610-15421-y3r71a2.lock most of the files are empty, others have text like this: source "https://rubygems.org" source "http://gems.hashicorp.com" gem "vagrant", "= 1.6.3" group :plugins do gem "vagrant-login", nil, {} gem "vagrant-share", nil, {} end The directories have a file named config with this this info: BUNDLE_PATH: "/home/user/.vagrant.d/gems" Is this some kind of debug option? how can I disable it?

• Unable to set NTFS permissions for ApplicationPoolIdentity on Windows 2008 SP2

  On Windows 2008 R2 I am able to set NTFS permissions for an application pool's synthesised ApplicationPoolIdentity account thus: ICACLS d:\websites\site1\www /grant "IIS AppPool\site1":(CI)(OI)(M) The website's application pool is named site1 and is configured to run as ApplicationPoolIdentity. The site's authentication is also configured to authenticate as ApplicationPoolIdentity. I've done this a thousand times on Windows 2008 Standard Edition R2 with never a hitch. However if I try to do the same in Windows 2008 Standard Edition SP2 I get the error: IIS AppPool\site1: No mapping between account names and security IDs was done. Successfully processed 0 files; Failed processing 1 files I also notice that this fails if I try to set permissions for the application pool identity via the security GUI as well. I've seen this before and a reboot has cleared this issue but I'd like to know why this happens periodically. Googling around suggests other folks have hit this problem but there's never a satisfactory explanation. Why would this be?

• Slow website load with CNAME, fast when using IP

  I setup two DNS servers on my network: ns1.byte-werx.com && ns2.byte-werx.com I can ping the DNS servers and get a fairly good response time, when I dig them I also get a fairly reasonable response, but any website I filter through them is painfully slow (an upwards of 20+ seconds) -- verifiable by performing a tracert or attempting to access the URL in a browser. The DNS servers are running CentOS 6.3 and BIND9 with 500MB of memory (I figure that should be more than enough?). I have a reverse look-up zone (1.168.192) along with two website zones (www.byte-werx.com and www.stayhomedental.com) If I access the websites using their IP the page loads nearly instantly so I do not believe the issue is with the hosting server, but that is running Ubuntu Server 12.04 and Apache2 with 12GB memory. Any thoughts? I do not have the named.conf file in front of me but I can edit this post to include it if you feel it would be useful. Thanks for any advice!
