  • Compiling the ffmpeg on iPhone?

    I downloaded the iFrameExtractor sample code and try to compile it with the iPhone simulator version 3.1.3 The project shows the following errors ( http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/3245/66948298.png ) even thought I added *.a libraries to my project. All libraries was under the library searching path. I guess it is a linking problem. Anyone can recommend to me a configuration for compiling ffmpeg on x86? Thanks in advance.

    According to this http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/wa80x488.aspx "Partial methods are implicitly private" So you can have this // Definition in file1.cs partial void Method1(); // Implementation in file2.cs partial void Method1() { // method body } But you cant have this // Definition in file1.cs public partial void Method1(); // Implementation in file2.cs public partial void Method1() { // method body } But why is this? Is there some reason the compiler cant handle public partial methods?

    So Windows Embedded Compact 7 (another classic from the naming department) supports Silverlight for Windows Embedded. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsembedded/en-us/products/windowsce/compact7.mspx But this is a C++ only stripped down version of Silverlight 2 XAML. Does anybody know if Windows Embedded Compact 7 will support real Silverlight? This seems to be out of step with Windows Phone (which I think is based on Windows CE 6) and the fact that Windows Embedded Compact 7 supports Flash 10.1.

    I have question about a basic xml file I'm parsing and just putting in simple nextlines(Enters). I'll try to explain my problem with this next example. I'm( still) building an xml tree and all it has to do ( this is a testtree ) is put the summary in an itemlist. I then export it to a plist so I can see if everything is done correctly. A method that does this is in the parser which looks like this if([elementName isEqualToString:@"Book"]) { [appDelegate.books addObject:aBook]; [aBook release]; aBook = nil; } else { [aBook setValue:currentElementValue forKey:elementName]; NSString *directions = [NSString stringWithFormat:currentElementValue]; [directionTree = setObject:directions forKey:@"directions"]; } [currentElementValue release]; currentElementValue = nil; } the export for the plistfile happens at the endtag of books.     I'm using a PHP script to read an RSS feed in my Flex 4 app. The script works when I put the url of the feed in the actual script, but I can't get it to work when I try to send the URL as a parameter from a HTTPService in Flex. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? My goal is to print the xml data found in "results". Any helpful pointers would be greatly appreciated.

  • How can I inject Javascript (including Prototype.js) in other sites without cluttering the global na

    I'm currently on a project that is a big site that uses the Prototype library, and there is already a humongous amount of Javascript code. We're now working on a piece of code that will get "injected" into other people's sites (picture people adding a <script> tag in their sites) which will then run our code and add a bunch of DOM elements and functionality to their site. This will have new pieces of code, and will also reuse a lot of the code that we use on our main site. The problem I have is that it's of course not cool to just add a <script> that will include Prototype in people's pages. If we do that in a page that's already using ANY framework, we're guaranteed to screw everything up. jQuery gives us the option to "rename" the $ object, so it could handle this situation decently, except obviously for the fact that we're not using jQuery, so we'd have to migrate everything. Right now i'm contemplating a number of ugly choices, and I'm not sure what's best... Rewrite everything to use jQuery, with a renamed $ object everywhere. Creating a "new" Prototype library with only the subset we'd be using in "injected" code, and renaming $ to something else. Then again I'd have to adapt the parts of my code that would be shared somehow. Not using a library at all in injected code, to keep it as clean as possible, and rewriting the shared code to use no library at all. This would obviously degenerate into us creating our own frankenstein of a library, which is probably the worst case scenario ever. I'm wondering what you guys think I could do, and also whether there's some magic option that would solve all my problems... For example, do you think I could use something like Caja / Cajita to sandbox my own code and isolate it from the rest of the site, and have Prototype inside of there? Or am I completely missing the point with that? I also read once about a technique for bookmarklets, were you add your code like this: (function() { /* your code */ })(); And then your code is all inside your anonymous function and you haven't touched the global namespace at all. Do you think I could make one file containing: (function() { /* Full Code of the Prototype file here */ /* All my code that will run in the "other" site */ InitializeStuff_CreateDOMElements_AttachEventHandlers(); })(); Would that work? Would it accomplish the objective of not cluttering the global namespace, and not killing the functionality on a site that uses jQuery, for example? Or is Prototype too complex somehow to isolate it like that? (NOTE: I think I know that that would create closures everywhere and that's slower, but I don't care too much about performance, my code is not doing anything that complex)

This used to work perfectly fine, because I was running Visual Studio 2008. However, one of my developers use C# Express Edition and they need to do a similar thing.   • Spacing differences between IE7 and Firefox/Opera/Chrome

    I have an ongoing issue with the amount of vertical space of unordered lists in IE7 vs. Firefox/Chrome/Opera and I can't seem to find a solution out there. In IE7, the space is less and what I would like to see. In Firefox, Chrome, and Opera, the space between is about twice as much. I can't account for any of the spacing issues in my code or page.
