  • Using MySQL to generate daily sales reports with filled gaps, grouped by currency

    I'm trying to create what I think is a relatively basic report for an online store, using MySQL 5.1.45 The store can receive payment in multiple currencies. I have created some sample tables with data and am trying to generate a straightforward tabular result set grouped by date and currency so that I can graph these figures. I want to see each currency that is available per date, with a 0 in the result if there were no sales in that currency for that day. If I can get that to work I want to do the same but also grouped by product id. In the sample data I have provided there are only 3 currencies and 2 product ids, but in practice there can be any number of each. I can correctly group by date, but then when I add a grouping by currency my query does not return what I want. I based my work off this article.   • Strange behavior of move with strings

    I am testing some enhanced string related functions with which I am trying to use move as a way to copy strings around for faster, more efficient use without delving into pointers. While testing a function for making a delimited string from a TStringList, I encountered a strange issue. The compiler referenced the bytes contained through the index when it was empty and when a string was added to it through move, index referenced the characters contained.     I'm looking at building some unit tests to ascertain if resources are leaking (or not) using the unit testing framework that comes with Visual Studio. At present, I'm evaluating the latest version of ANTS Profiler, but I can't quite work out if it allows me to force a snapshot from code (so that I can take a snapshot, run a unit test a few hundred times, force a garbage collection, and take another snapshot, and save the results out for later analysis). Is this possible to do with ANTS/Visual Studio or should I be exploring options with other profilers?

Step4 is a results page, and it takes some time to load, so I wanted to try and implement a progress bar or a loading bar or something when the user clicks the step3 submit button before Step4.php actually loads.
