  I have to create Documents in about my project that is written in about Android.I use Word 2010 and I copy some lines of my code into the Word doc then I add my descriptions.My problem is huge number of error of spell checker of Word that arises in each paragraph(lines that I paste them from my code into Word).For example it may be used setSpan,removeSpan and ... in my codes and spell checker show red underline under all of them.You can see huge number of errors in a few lines that I paste them: Is there a way to add all spell errors to word dictionary at once for selected area?

• How to access shared folder between CentOS 6 and WinXP under vmware player 4

  Based on Sharing Files between CentOS 6 and Windows Systems with Samba I am able to follow until section of "Accessing Samba Shares". however, my system is WinXP and I don't see CentOS 6 icon at all. In my left panel of explorer, I only see "My network places". For section "Accessing Windows Shares from CentOS 6", after I click workgroup, I only see a localhost icon. When I click this icon, I see "unable to mount location" error from CentOS. BTW: I have set the shared folder within WMWare Player 6.0. Whatelse I have to do in order to make the shared folder work? • Get Pidgin Logs From Other Directory

  I'm using pidgin on both, windows and linux on several pc. To sync my log, I use dropbox. For linux, it's easy. Just a matter of symlink. However, I don't know how to sync it on windows, without manual copy-paste once I'm done on windows. So, is there any solution to my problem? pidgin plugin, maybe? Update As MarkM's answer, I did this to solve my problem: backup and delete current log (it's located at C:\Users\{your user name}\Roaming\.purple\logs) mklink /D "C:\Users\{your user name}\Roaming\.purple\logs" "E:\My Dropbox\somepath\purplelogs" "C:\Users\{your user name}\Roaming\.purple\logs" is where you want your symlink at "E:\My Dropbox\somepath\purplelogs" is there you have your dropboxed logs.

• How to prove that an email has been sent?

  I have a dispute on my hands in which the other party (landlord's real estate agent) dishonestly claims to not have received an email that I truly did send. My questions is, what are the ways to prove that the email was indeed sent? Thus far, the methods that I have already thought of are: Screenshot of the mail in the outbox Forwarding a copy of the original email I am aware of other things like HTTP/ SMTP headers etc that would exist as well. Are these useful for my purposes, and if so how do I extract these? The email in question was sent using Yahoo webmail ( http://au.mail.yahoo.com/ ). Edit: I am not seeking legal advice here, just technical advice as to how to gather this information.

• Windows 7: Computer does not enter automatic standby

  My Windows 7 PC is set to automatically enter standby ("sleep mode") after 30 minutes. For some reason it stopped working a few days ago (it keeps on running). Is there some systematic way to determine what is preventing the system from automatically entering sleep mode after the designated idle time? Manually sending the machine to sleep works fine. The monitor also enters power save mode automatically, so the "idling detection" of Windows seems to work fine.

• slow pppoe connection using Ubuntu 9.10

  I have a Compaq Presario CQ61, instaled Ubuntu 9.10 and Windows 7 on it. It works great except the PPPoE connection in Ubuntu, when i dial in Windows my download speed reach up to 91 Mb, rebooted in Ubuntu, downloaded same file from the same server with a speed of maximum 3 Mb, cheked in Windows again 80 - 90 Mb constant. I can't figure what slow's the internet connection in Ubuntu. Anyone has an ideea on this problem ? (NO iptables configured, NO HTB, CBQ ...etc configured) . Thank you

• Pinnacle Studio 14 Importer crashes on Windows 7 x64

  Pinnacle Studio 14 Importer crashes on Windows 7 x64, thus I'm unable to import videos from my camcorder. I've Googled around and it seems to be a problem with x64 support in the program, but there is no info if it can somehow be remedied with Compatibility settings, XP mode. Further Googling got me this link, and none of the tips in site it links help. I've got no idea what ObjectDoct Plus 2 is (no a program or service installed by that name) which he claims causes the problem. Is that ObjectDoct critical to Pinnacle Studio and how to get rid of it (or any other advice how to make Studio 14 work on x64). UPDATE: 1) XP mode doesn't help as it doesn't handle Firewire, which is how my Canon HV20 must be connected to transfer HDV from tape. 2) I don't have that ObjectDock installed. 3) I don't wanna re-buy PS15 just to get this solved as PS14 should be able to do it.

  I am planning to buy TP-LINK ADSL wifi router (model TD-W8151N) for my Internet connection which provides Internet through ADSL telephone line. I am also planning to take cable internet in a few months which provides internet through a LAN cable without the need of any modem. So I would like to have my modem work for both connections which I am using. When using cable internet I want this TP-Link modem to work just as a wireless router (so that I can have the freedom to use my laptop in different rooms instead of sitting at a place by plugging in that cable). Is it possible to use this modem in that way? I don't have much knowledge about these things except that I can configure things as instructed. • Server unresponsive after successful OpenSSL connection

  I'm testing server connections using OpenSSL, with varying results Server A: connection is successful, as are user login and the other commands I expected to work Server B: connection is successful, but the server is unresponsive when I try to submit a command. I don't get an error, or even a disconnection – just a blank line from where I hit Enter or ^M My hunch is that Server B's configuration requires a different character encoding or something and it's simply not recognizing my Enter keystroke, but I've looked to no avail... any suggestions would be appreciated!

  In Windows Vista and Windows 7, the task manager ran non-elevated, and you didn't face a UAC prompt unless you chose "View Processes of All Users". In Windows 8 Preview, out of the box the Task Manager starts elevated every time. How can I configure it to start non-elevated so I don't get hit with a UAC prompt every time I check CPU usage or view the list of running processes to see if an application closed completely? (I am not looking for answers which involve weakening UAC, and I ask the community's help in downvoting any such suggestions.)

• How to use my computer as a Headset device for my phone with Bluetooth?

  I want to extract the audio from my phone (the analog TV and FM/AM receiver mainly) and play it through my computer speakers. There is a headphone jack but it is of non-standard size (probably a micro-jack) and I do not have access to a shop that sells that kind of equipment in my area so doing this with Bluetooth is the only solution I can foresee. Both my laptop and my phone support A2DP but for some reason the service (from the phone) does not show up while I add a new connection and the phone does not let me initiate a connection with any other profile except FTP (although it detects other services in the service list like A2DP and works perfectly fine with other profiles like DUN, HID, OPP, SSP if the connection is started through the computer). I am currently using the latest version of the Toshiba stack, I have tried using WIDCOMM but it refuses to install drivers for both the internal Bluetooth (which is a Broadcom device) and the USB Bluetooth that I use on my desktop. The standard Microsoft stack (generic driver) does install but it does not work with both of my devices as they do not detect any Bluetooth devices when scanning. With BlueSoleil (the default stack that came with the USB Bluetooth) I could set my device as "headset" instead of only "laptop/desktop", and this allowed both my phones to detect my laptop as a device they can use as a headset, but the problem with this stack was that only the older phone could actually connect to my laptop and that the internal Bluetooth could not be used. Basically, I want to set the device type as a "headset" for my phone using the Toshiba stack like I did with BlueSoleil. Is there any way this could be done? Thanks.   Is it possible to specify VNC port number in built-in VNC client of Mac OS X? I'm trying to connect to Xen VPS machine with Finder's built-in VNC client. I used address like this. vnc://server:port But it fails because it uses another port, and Finder's built-in VNC cannot handle port number. As I know it handles the number after colon as display-number, not a port number. Is there a way to specify port number on the VNC client? Or any workaround for this? (port forwarding??? I have no idea about it...)

• Can't connect to a share.

  Hello, I have a laptop with a Windows XP Tablet Edition installed. I have several users setup on the laptop (mostly me and my kids). When I try to connect to its administrative share via \DadLaptop\c$ from a Windows 2000 Professional machine, it prompts me for a user name and password. However, after I enter it, it always tells me "incorrect password or unknown username". As a test I setup another share, called "test" and tried to connect to that. It worked fine, didn't even ask me for a password, just connected to it and that's that. All the networking is wireless. I am connecting with an admin account (admin on the target computer). What am I missing? Why can't I connect to an administrative share?

For the most part I connect using ethernet as opposed to wirelessly, but recently have had the need to connect using the wireless. I have tried multiple times to no avail. I have 2 other Mac's on the network and a pc that can all connect wirelessly. However both the mac's. Question Any ideas as to why my really old iMac G5 can't connect wirelessly anymore!?

• How to speed up a HP M9517C

  I bought a system with 8GB RAM, 1TB HD, Quad-Core AMD Phenom 9550, Nvidia Geforce 9300GE, 64-bit Windows Vista Machine. Bought it primarily because it was cheap and came with 25.5 inch screen. Problem: It's slow - if you can believe it. My Dell laptop 1525 is faster and more stable! I tried installing and dual-booting Linux Mint and ran into video and audio troubles. I need fast and stable and I'm going for awesome. Anyone have some suggestions on making this thing smoking hot? Vista is fine, but slows over time - suspect virus/spyware/etc.. But I need to use Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Illustrator. I've tried the alternatives and I just don't like them. When you've got deadlines looming you want to work with what you know. Also use Skype (and I had audio problems with it in Linux), gotomeeting, gotowebinar. Don't need MS Office. Tried VMWare, Virtualbox and again - I keep getting audio/video problems. I'd love someone's input on THEIR setup and how they got there. I'm sure I need to upgrade my video card, but what should I go to?

• How to provide multiple input to ffmpeg?

  I'm using ffmpeg to create time-lapses and it's working great. As input I have images named 001.jpg, 002.jpg, etc. and then with the command ffmpeg -i %3d.jpg -sameq -s 1440x1080 video.mp4 I create the video. But my problem comes when I want to create a video using multiple sets as input. For example, I'm in a dir where I have two folders set1 and set2, each with photos in it in the format explained previously. I tried doing ffmpeg -i ./set1/%3d.jpg -i ./set2/%3d.jpg -sameq -s 1440x1080 video.mp4 but it ends up doing a video using only the first set. Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks!

• Why has my zoom feature stopped working in OSX 10.6?

  For the life of me I can't get the zoom feature to work on OSX 10.6 on my Max Mini. It's a fresh install, I have the wireless mighty mouse with the small grey scroll ball and the small wireless Apple metal keyboard. I've tried enabling "Zoom using scroll ball whilst holding ^Control" mouse System Preference. I also tried enabling Zoom in "Universal Access" in the System Preferences. This did work in OSX 10.5, but seems to have stopped since I installed 10.6.

• Good Word HTML cleaner?

  There are a ton of utilities for cleaning the html produced by Word. Some are online services and some are Windows desktop apps. Does anyone have good experience with any? I am looking for one that does a very good job of maintaining the layout and text styles of the original document. The people using the tool know very little or no html which means they can't be spending time doing html editing to fix the layout.
