• Help setup my .git/config file for Heroku AND my Unfuddle Account

  Ok, I have three different computers that I work from and right now their configurations are all different so I have to push/pull a certain on each and its very bothersome. What I want to do is have ONE config file that I can use for all three that will allow me to do the following: git push unfuddle git pull heroku git push unfuddle git pull heroku And I'm new to git, so I know that maybe I need heroku master or 'heroku origin` or somethign? Here is what my config file looks like right now: [core] repositoryformatversion = 0 filemode = true bare = false logallrefupdates = true [remote "origin"] fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/* url = [email protected]:HEROKU-APP.git [branch "master"] remote = origin merge = refs/heads/master [remote "unfuddle"] fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/* url = [email protected]:UNFUDDLE-APP/UNFUDDLE-APP.git obviously the git urls were changed to protect the innocent. What should I change so that I can easily push and pull to/from both of these repos? Thanks!

• Are Sphinx & thinking_sphinx really stable? Not indexing Columns

  I'm encountering strange behaviour from thinking_sphinx/sphinx. My define_index block is about 100 lines, so quite a lot of columns i'm indexing. For full-text searching I only need about 10 attributes, for sorting and filtering I have another approximately 50 columns, mostly floats and integers. By filtering I mean using the "with" or "without" options. Searching does not really work consistently. All of a sudden, one attribute fails to filter. Or if I add a new one, it does not work. Only after a lot of tinkering it suddenly starts working. I cannot really reproduce it. Steps I that sometimes lead me to success where: rm -rf db/sphinx change the attribute definition e.g. has some_attribute = has some_attribute, :sortable = true or = has some_attribute, :sortable = true, :as = "some_attribute" restarting the server assigning a new :as name = has some_attribute, :as = "some_attribute_new" (yes, I did rake ts:rebuild or rake ts:in after every step) Does anybody else encounter similar problems?

When I look at the response text in teh DoSubmitComple function it is {"Success": "true" } Every JSON tester I have tried says that this is valied JSON. What am I doing wrong here?

  Hi, I'm new to flash in general and have been writing a program with two classes that extend MovieClip (Stems and Star). I need to create a new Stems object as a child of the scene when the user stops dragging a Star object, but do not know how to reference the scene from within the Star class's code. I've tried passing the scene into the constructor of the Star and doing sometihng like: this.scene.addChild (new Stems ()); But apparently that's not how to do it... • Clickin issue in Flash and XML

  Hi, I have the php backend that displays an xml page with data for flash consuming. Flash takes it and creates a textfields dynamicaly based on this information. I have a few items in menu on top and when I click one of them, data is taken from php and everything is displayed in scroll in flash. The problem is that if I click too fast between menu items, then I get buggy layout.   I am working on an MVC app in Sencha Touch 2 and am having trouble getting a list to display in a nested panel. The structure of the app has a main view which is a tab panel. One of the items in the tab panel is a defined panel, xtype: 'homepanel'. An item in this panel is the list, xtype: 'newslist' that is linked to the appropriate store and model files. The list does not display unless I change its parent 'homepanel' to a type, Ext.navigation.View. What am I missing in the definition of 'homepanel' as a Panel that prevents the display of the list?   In JavaScript, why does an octal number string cast as a decimal number? I can cast a hex literal string using Number() or +, why not an octal? For instance: 1000 === +"1000" // -> true 0xFF === +"0xFF" // -> true 0100 === +"0100" // -> false - +"0100" gives 100, not 64 I know I can parse with parseInt("0100" [, 8]), but I'd like to know why casting doesn't work like it does with hex and dec numbers. Also, does anyone know why octal literals are dropped from ECMAScript 5th Edition in strict mode?

  Lets assume I have two tables Table tA ID ID2 SomeColumns Table tB ID ID2 SomeOtherColumns I am looking to create a Object let's call it ObjectA (based on tA), that will have a one-to-many relationship to ObjectB (based on tB). In my example however, I need to use the combination of ID and ID2 as the foreign key. If I was writing SQL it would look like this: select tB.* from tA, tB where tA.ID = tB.ID and tA.ID2 = tB.ID2; I know that for each ID/ID2 combination in tA I should have many rows in tB, therefor I know it's a one-to-many combination. Sales" End If Basically what is happening is, if a certain radio button is selected and the user didn't click the checkbox the default regions are included and they are hardcoded because the query runs much faster. if the user did click the checkbox then the textbox where they type the specific regions shows up and it will run the query that includes the dbo.B605SaleAsOfAdvancedMaster.SDESCR in (" & TextBox1.Text & ") If you can somehow do this using parameters and not with the textbox1.text in the query it will run much faster for me thanks for your help

  I am trying to create a huge matrix in ff, and I know that ff is good for this sort of thing. But, there is a major problem. The dimensions of the matrix exceed .Machine$max_integer! I am running on a 64 bit machine, using 64bit R and 64bit ff. Is there any way to get around this problem? It's been suggested that R is using the MAXINT value from stdint.h. Can I see the SQL code that will be passed directly to database? Example: I see select this_.code from true.employee this_ where this_.code=? Can I see select employee.code from employee where employee.code=12 the real sql? thanks!

  Hi, I'm currently launching a programme using subprocess.Popen(cmd, shell=TRUE) I'm fairly new to Python, but it 'feels' like there ought to be some api that lets me do something similar to: subprocess.Popen(cmd, shell=TRUE, postexec_fn=function_to_call_on_exit) I am doing this so that function_to_call_on_exit can do something based on knowing that the cmd has exited (for example keeping count of the number of external processes currently running) I assume that I could fairly trivially wrap subprocess in a class that combined threading with the Popen.wait() method, but as I've not done threading in Python yet and it seems like this might be common enough for an API to exist, I thought I'd try and find one first. • Whats the best way to stop this app crash when buttons rapidly pressed iphone obj-c

  Hi, I'm not entirely sure why this crash is happening and I'd like to get advice on the best way to deal with it. My app has 3 buttons. Each button requests a different XML file from a server which is used to populate a table view. If I rapidly press the buttons in sequence , button 1 button 2 button3 button 1 button 2 button3 button 1 button 2 button3 the application quits. What could be causing this. Would id be in the NSURLRequest side of things or the table view population side? How would you suggest I stop this behaviour? I was going to just set a boolean "isRequesting" to true when a button is pressed and set it to false when the table view is finished populating. If any button is pressed while isRequesting is True they do nothing. Does that sound wise or is there a better way? Thanks, dub
