• Wordpress Multisite (Subfolders) - Google Analytics Tracking

  I have a Wordpress multisite subfolder instance that I would like to track via Google Analytics. I guess optimally this would be a plugin which I could track each site in two places The Main Tracking Code which totals all traffic from the Multisite instance The Individual Site tracking code to see how each site specifically is doing. I think this plugin would have worked for me if I had a subdomain multisite instance: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-analytics-multisite-async/installation/ I know I can manually place the dual tracking code (http://www.markinns.com/articles/full/adding_two_google_analytics_accounts_to_one_page) but that would involve editing a theme and I have multiple sites using TwentyEleven template. I don't think I can edit the theme and not have it wreak havoc on the rest of the sites using TwentyEleven. So has anyone done this? Is there a a technique I'm missing? Is there a plugin available to do this in Multisite Subfolder installations? Is there a way to manually insert GA codes into themes which are used by multiple sites? Any insight is appreciated.

  I'm trying to figure out how to find out if there's a good standard format for sharing business information such as: Business Name Address - well-defined fields Lat,Lng Coords Business Type - maybe from a well-defined enum, my starting point contains Retail,Food,Drink,Coffee,Service Hours of operation - including a spot for 'except laksdasd' or 'sometimes we open late' which could be just plain language Business Keywords - don't know if this is asking too much. how well do http meta tags work in practice? So, if no such thing exists, is this something I can submit to IETF? I can't currently find it on http://www.rfc-editor.org/cgi-bin/rfcsearch.pl , and vCard doesn't suit my needs.. Thanks!

  I am developing a simple mainly static website using WordPress (because maybe in the future I will add some dynamic content) for a company. The new site have to follow the structure of the old site that requires the presence of a vertical main menu in the left column that contains the link to all the statics pages in the site. • Benefits of TOGAF or similar?

  I can read the website blurb and be impressed by the alleged benefits, but I haven't worked anywhere or with anyone who followed the TOGAF (or any alternative) architecture framework. Our organisation has declared itself dedicated to moving from what is currently a fairly shambolic design & development model towards something approaching a modern structured process. Things like TOGAF have been mentioned as helping achieve a world-class enterprise development environment (!) but I'm convinced that no-one here really understands the real-world benefits that wholesale adoption might bring and, perhaps more importantly, the effort/pain required to achieve the same. Do you have experience in using TOGAF or similar to wrestle control in an organisation? Do you think that use of the framework brought any benefit? Edit: For clarification TOGAF is "The Open Group Architecture Framework", a detailed method and set of tools for developing an enterprise architecture. • Still no wireless after b43 with Dell Inspiron 1525 (Ubuntu 12.04)

  So I followed the instructions here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1974006 about how to solve this issue. It worked for a bit and then stopped. After doing a modprobe I could at least see my network and click on it but it would not connect (I can always see it if I look under the listed wireless networks under VPN Connections, however). I'm thinking, from what I read at least, the issue might be that my wireless switch was on during those first steps. Do I now have to undo the b43 install and do it again? Or is there something else I could try? I just made the switch to Linux yesterday, so I am hesitant at this point to mess with anything on my own. I should note now that it was installed by someone who knows what they are doing, so we are all good on that front.

  I received a rather heartfelt e-mail from a user on our site explaining that Taiwan wasn't a province of China and that they wouldn't register until this was changed. I found the lines to edit in my CMS, but we have valued users from both China and Taiwan. I was wondering the most politically neutral way to amend my country codes. What should the entries for China and Taiwan say?

• Google web search shows dateCreated instead of dateModified metadata

  So today I discovered that the pages from my website are listed with an unexpected date value. I specify the schema.org properties dateCreated and dateModified for most of my content pages. I'd expect that search results show me when a page was last updated, to get a sense of the currency of the page. But it's showing the date of first publishing which may be years ago. That's a bit unsatisfying but I don't want to misuse the metadata because Google probably reads it wrong. Some search terms for you to try it out: "gitrevisiontool"; "easyxml"; "multiselecttreeview" (look for the results on dev.unclassified.de; the human- and machine-readable dates come at the end of the page) Does anybody know more about what's wrong here? Or does it work as designed? (What a stupid design that would be.)

  I would like to have a disk that: has Ubuntu installed is fully encrypted is setup in such a way as to make denial of the existence of the Ubuntu install plausible Truecrypt provides the last two features but only for Windows: http://www.truecrypt.org/docs/?s=sys-encryption-supported-os The alternate installer for Ubuntu provides the first two features but not the last. I imagine that plausible deniability would be achieved by, at least: Having two installs of Ubuntu and 2 passphrases (or keyfiles) which would unencrypt each one. Moving any unencrypted data (such as /boot) onto a USB stick Are there any programs out there which support this feature set for Ubuntu?

  The two new Java ME related JSRs were submitted to the JCP earlier in October have been approved by the Executive Committee (EC) to continue development in the JCP program.  These JSRs are now open for Expert Group nominations. All registered JCP.org users can nominate themselves to serve on the JSR Expert Group, but you must become a JCP Member to be approved to serve on a JSR Expert Group. JSR 360, Connected Limited Device Configuration (CLDC) 8, was approved by the EC with 11 yes votes (AT&T was not eligible to vote).  You can also follow this project on their java.net project. • OutOfBounds Exception when creating a PolygonShape using jbox2d

  So here's the deal, i'm parsing a file that contains the vertices for a polygon, that i want to create in box2d. I create a new PolygonShape() and then call .set() giving it a defined array of Vec, and that defined array's .length property. I expected this to work, since the documentation for jbox2d says this method takes a Vec array, and the count of Vec objects in that array. However, it errors out, and it seems to be unrelated to my code. The error i get is Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 8 at org.jbox2d.collision.shapes.PolygonShape.set(PolygonShape.java:174) and, upon looking at that line in the jbox2d svn repository, i still cannot figure out the issue. Any help is appreciated!

• Can't connect to wireless without typing sudo modprobe b43 in terminal

  I just upgraded to 12.04 on an old ACER Travelmate 5320 using Broadcom 4311. I wasn't able to connect to the internet through the wireless for a few days. It didn't even display wireless networks. I was finally able to make it work by following the instructions found here: http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#supported However, each time I log on to the computer I have to go to the terminal and type sudo modprobe b43 to make the wireless work. Is there somehow I can avoid this? I have used Ubuntu for many years but always relied on other people to help me with the technical stuff. The terminal is alien to me so I literally follow online forum instructions without knowing what I'm doing. Also, I tried many many things before I managed to make it work. So I'm worried I may have installed something that now conflicts with whatever the sudo modprobe b43 does. Thank you

  I know that apache has a security bug http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2011/Aug/175 So if you do this command: curl -I -H "Range: bytes=0-1,0-2" -s www.yandex.ru/robots.txt it says HTTP/1.1 206 Partial Content it means, the problem is exist. But the fact is, that for apache tomcat (our server) curl says 206 Partial Content as well. So we need to fix it. I found solution for apache HTTP (.htaccess, mod_headers) but not for tomcat. I'm very newbie for servers things, so can't understand most, so please help

But it makes sense when you see it. • Change the output of the facebook like button [migrated]

  I've tied in the code for the facebook like button from the facebook dev site (I currently use the iframe version) directly into the html of a node (or content post). I want to be able to manipulate what text is sent when someone hits the like button. you can see the site and buttons here www.masteringmoneybasics.org I've tried both the iframe and html5 versions of the button and can't see where to alter what is sent. If there is no way to directly alter what is sent, does anyone know what it looks for in content to be sent so I can structure the node correctly? If you notice, when you like the page, it doesn't get the first sentence of the content, but all content after it, and I've tried putting different content in between the two lines (in its own <p>) and it still grabs the latter. Also how it figures out which image to grab from the page? Most times it doesn't take any image, however twice it's grabbed the middle school image.

What do lines 2 and 3 do in Ubuntu (I understand cat)? Is it only for other Linux distributions? After running this script as root, the output I get is Log files cleaned up. But /var/log still contains all the files.

After the a while I started thinking it really hard, and if you go really in depth this is a very complex and interesting question to ask. YOu can even ask yourself if (heavy) internet (social) users are an subculture and programmers a culture within. I think it might be an interesting discussion, hope you like it! NOTE: I linked the wiki article because it might be a good baseline, maybe you can base you answer on Ken Gelder´s proposal to distinguish subcultures. • Dash empy and blank Software Center

  I've Ubuntu 12.10.1 LTS x62 fresh of installation... My dash is empty, search doesn't work and applications list is empty. If I run the Ubuntu Software Center it freeze in a blank screen. • Why does apt-get keep waiting for headers on Oracle repository?

  I have this at the end of my /etc/apt/sources.list to retrieve Oracle code: deb http://oss.oracle.com/debian unstable main non-free When I run sudo apt-get update, the app gets stuck displaying this message: 100% [Waiting for headers] If I remove this, apt-get update runs without error. Is there a new, recommended URL for Oracle products and, generally, how do you fix this problem? I am pretty sure this did not happen on 11.10 and has only started with the move to 12.04. I either can't set the automatic login by editing /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf [SeatDefaults] autologin-user=x autologin-user-timeout=0 user-session=ubuntu greeter-session=unity-greeter After restart login screen asks for my password. • Why does IDLE continue to crash? [migrated]

  Idle keeps crashing and I can't figure it out. After restarting the computer and reinstalling Python, none of which seemed to work, I looked to my peers and was told to "install one of the Tcl/Tk". After getting another opinion I was also told that I already had this and found it to be true but decided to try it anyway since it continued to crash. Nothing has improved and I have an assignment due. Any ideas on why this continues to happen and what I can do to fix the crash?
