    Hi all, Is there a way to detect memory fragmentation on linux ? This is because on some long running servers I have noticed performance degradation and only after I restart process I see better performance. I noticed it more when using linux huge page support -- are huge pages in linux more prone to fragmentation ? I have looked at /proc/buddyinfo in particular. I want to know whether there are any better ways to look at it.

    Hello. I have an application that sometimes causes exceptions. And I need to restart it if it crashed. But the problem is, that I have Windows 7 here and when application crashes, Windows shows me nice dialog box with a suggestion to close the application. But the application itself is still running until I click "Close". How to get rid of this Window and make application terminate immediately without any dialog boxes?

    I have build the web application using Java1.5, Struts framework with Mysql database Deployed on the JBOSS4.0.5 Server Every thing seems to be fine when the activity is there on the server. Every morning, If I tried to connect to application, it shows the application is down. Once I restart the server, It works fine. From past 1 month, I am just restarting the server every day.     Using this method to hide the status bar: [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:YES animated:YES]; When setting "hidden" back to NO, the tap-to-scroll-to-top (in UIWebView, UITableView, whatever) doesn't work any more, and requires a restart of the app to get the functionality back. Is this a bug (I filed a rdar anyhow) or have I missed a step? Should I perhaps expect this behavior since the statusBar "loses touch" somehow with the respective view?

    It seems that whenever I disconnect from clojure slime session, I cannot reconnect again. I am using leiningen to start the swank session (with lein-swank plugin). So, every time I quit emacs (I know I shouldn't) or reboot/logout I have to restart both slime and swank. Is there a way to re-connect to a slime/clojure-swank session?

In the meantime, is there a way to restart the CF mail queue without restarting the service as a whole? CF8 standard Win2k3 Solution: We are now checking the age of the oldest file in the mail queue. When it exceeds a set age (currently 30 min) the mail queue is restarted.

  • SVN Repository folders don't match my solution folder structure in Visual Studio or folder structure

    I have a .NET solution which was badly organised, so I moved some projects around to appropriate folders. In the solution, I simply fixed the paths to the new locations, and everything is working in my working copy. I used AnkhSVN to commit the solution to the repository, which worked out fine as well. However, when I look in the repo explorer, the folders inside are organised in the old way. What do I need to do?

    I am using Native code to render OpenGL in Android and I get periodic errors that look like this: ERROR/IMGSRV(1435): frameresource.c:610: WaitUntilResourceIsNotNeeded: PVRSRVEventObjectWait failed ERROR/IMGSRV(1018): sgxif.c:124: WaitForRender: PVRSRVEventObjectWait failed ERROR/IMGSRV(1435): osfunc_um.c:318: PVRSRVEventObjectWait: Error 13 returned Once these errors come up I have to restart the phone or the rendering won't start again correctly. I have done a lot of web searching and I can't find out what could be the cause of these errors. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

    I would like to define some aliases in fish. Apparently it should be possible to define them in ~/.config/fish/functions but they don't get auto loaded when I restart the shell.   • White space on top of flash movie within table cell

    I have a flash movie, height = 151px width = 228, this is placed within a table cell ( cellpadding = 0 cellspacing = 0 vertical-align = top), but when it displays within the explorer windows there is a white space about 20px above the flash movie. I want the flash movie to appear directly under the grey lines. Here is a screen shot of the current issue:

    The following code executes fine in Firefox and Chrome, but gives an error: 'null' is null or not an object when executed in Internet Explorer. if (xmlhttp.responseXML != null) { var xmlDoc = xmlhttp.responseXML.documentElement ; var ResultNodes = xmlDoc.getElementsByTagName ("Result") ; <---- error here if (ResultNodes != null) { (I would have thought the line after the one indicated would be more likely to return the error but the debugger says the run-time error is at the line indicated) Any ideas why?

I need to write JavaScript in this HTML page which will remove any window.onresize handler from the page loaded in the IWebBrowser2 control. IWebBrowser2 exposes the DOM through IWebBrowser2::Document, but this is equivalent to window.document. Is there any way I can get access to window or window.onresize?

    I'm just beginning to use Linq-to-SQL and it's just wonderful to use. The problem is, this software is going to be run on a lot of machines and each machine will have a unique connection string. Is there a way for me to manually set the connection the Linq-to-SQL (.dbml) uses? The way I'm doing things now is creating the .dbml file, and in the graphic designer I'm dragging tables from the Server Explorer to the white board of the .dbml.
