  • Mac OS X Lion (10.7.3) Virtual Machine?

    I have been looking into this for a while and have attempted quite a few "solutions" (hackintosh boot images, universal unlockers, etc) before I gave in and asked for help. I know this is extremely difficult to accomplish, especially with an AMD CPU, but it has been done and it can't hurt to ask. Question Does anyone know of any way to actually get Mac OS X Lion (10.7.3) to boot in VMware Workstation 8.0.2? I know that Mac OS X is heavily dependant on hardware configuration, so I will post my PC's hardware below, if it helps. As far as I know it's only reliant on the CPU, but I will post it all just in case. PC Hardware Motherboard: ASUS M4A77T CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition Graphics Card: Palit Sonic Platinum nVIDIA Geforce GTX 460 Memory: G-Skill [RipjawsX F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL] 8GB PSU: Arctic Power 700(W) Hard Drive: SAMSUNG HD204UI 2TB Thanks in advance. :)

    I install SQL Server 2005 EXPRESS edition on one computer, Computer Name = 'MyServe' and Database name='MyDB',take it as database server. it is configured as both Database and Windows Authentication Mode. with username=sa and password=adminaa. I have application in C#.Net my connection string is ConnectionString = "Data Source=MyServe\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=MyDB;Integrated Security=True;User ID=sa;Password=adminaa"; when I run the application on the computer called MyServe, the database server, it works well, while when I install the application on different computer, when it tries to connect the database it gives an error called "login failed for user 'MyServe\Guest" what is wrong with configuration in the database server or other mistakes. please help me. thankyou in advance.   • Hostname confusion (Ubuntu Server 10.04)

    I have just setup Ubuntu 10.04 Server Edition. I have been following this tutorial. The DNS information seems to be setup correctly now, but I am confused about the hostname. Currently it is laughingbuddha.home. That is a name I created. Now, I am mainly not sure how to connect from another computer on my network. I basically want to be able to put PHP files on the server box and then test them via a web browser on my other computer. So, I think I digressed from my first question, but would somebody please help me figure out if the hostname is okay for doing what I need to do? Thank-you!

  • Calculation error in Datasheet view in SharePoint

    I have a custom list, with calculation, in SharePoint. Everything worked fine until recently when the DataSheet will show strange or wrong % calculation in a % column. But the Standard View will show correct values. IT checked the server side and everything looked ok, I checked the formulas and even re-did them in the column and the issue persist.   • LDAP c++ API choice

    I would like to write my own LDAP client under Linux, specific to our local environment. Most probably I will use QT4 to provide a shiny frontend without much hassle. I found that there seems to be no standard C++ library for this. OpenLDAP provides a C API and there should also be a C++ API (experimental?) somewhere.. Do I need to use the C stuff or is there a C++ API out there worth of recommendation?

    I am using an Excel Add-in for an Erlangs: http://abstractmicro.com/erlang/helppages/ref-erlbblockage.htm I try to call the Erlang-B function within the Add-in from within VBA thus: Function Erl(Erlangs As Double, Capacity As Double) Erl = Application.WorksheetFunction.ErlbBlockage(Capacity, Erlangs) End Function ...but it doesn't work. I get #VALUE! returned in the Excel cell. I think it is because the function is not part of standard Excel (it is in the Add-in). So how do I call it?

  • Restoring openldap configuration from ldif file?

    I am trying to restore my OpenLDAP server from an ldif file I made before it went horribly wrong. All of the websites I found talk about using slapadd but when I run slapadd -v -l ~ns01/openldap_config.ldif it returns the error Could not stat config file "/etc/ldap/slapd.conf" : No such file or directory (2) slapadd: bad configuration file! When I look in the directory indeed the file does not exist, but this is because Ubuntu 11.10 is running in RTC mode, my LDAP server uses the /etc/slapd.d/cn=config for the configuration. So? What am I missing? Is slapadd the wrong tool to use? As I said above I running on Ubuntu 11.10 server edition 64-bit.

    I'm using an HttpWebRequest object to access a web service via an HTTP POST. Part of the requirement is that I: Verify that the URL in the certificate matches the URL I'm posting to Verify that the certificate is valid and trusted Verify that the certificate has not expired Does HttpWebRequest automatically handle that for me? I'd assume that if any of these conditions came up, I'd get the standard "could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel" exception.

  • Show Visualizers Error "could not load this custom viewer"

    When I try to inspect DataSet by standard DataSet visualizer I see this error "could not load this custom viewer". I wrote simple dataset visualizer, but error throws anyway too. On other computers with the same configuration visualizer show without any errors. OS: Windows 7 x86 (Release) VS: Visual Studio 2010 RC has somebody any ideas? I reinstall VS with no effect.

Is there such a thing in standard C++?

On these I am planning on running a few various servers: Windows 2008 Server R2 w/ IIS (several custom built ASP.NET Apps) Windows 2008 Server R2 w/ MS SQL 2008 Database Server Linux Web Server w/ Several WordPress Blogs (XAMPP?) Windows 2008 Server R2 w/ IIS (DEV ENVIRONMENT) Windows 2008 Server R2 w/ MS SQL 2008 Database Server (DEV ENVIRONMENT) In your opinion, will this hardware be sufficient to run the above load with room for possible 2-3 more virtual machines (probably lightweight web servers)?

What's the best way to structure code in this situation, since it doesnt make sense to have the method belong to either of the models methods.
