    Hi; I'm trying to create a multi-sheet excel document, and thus far I'd been doing it in PHP - but using PHPExcel was eating up 70MB of RAM for about 60,000 spreadsheet cells total. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with Spreadsheet::WriteExcel and if it has problems with creating very large documents. I'd just give it a shot but I'm very inexperienced with Perl and it could take me quite a bit of time to get this up and rolling even if for a test, and I thought someone here might have insight for me.

  • Using a batch file to create folder and copy files into it to multiple PC's

    Hi, I have a folder with numerous files that I need to copy to multiple PC's on a network. I thought if the folder didn't exist it would automatically create it. Here's what I have... copy "C:\Documents and Settings\follag\Desktop\Music" "\PC NAME\c$\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\Music" When I look at the destinatin PC, it is not creating the folder and copying the files.     I am creating a website with multiple sections--admin, client, user, and anonymous--each user group having less access then the next. I am wondering what form of authentication would be best for my use? I have heard the if you are just dealing with a websites then a web form is for you (because it's prettier). HTTP header authentication with PHP is said to get clunky/sloppy. htAcess is pretty much the hard core of various authentication methods I have looked up, but is it too much?

Do I really need to go the full fledged way creating a class MemThread(threading.Thread) and overwriting __init__ and __run__?

  • Android browse SQLite database on phone

    How can I browse the SQLite database that I am creating in my app on my Android myTouch phone? When I log in through adb shell, sqlite3 gives me a permission denied. Is there another way to check if my database and tables are actually being created, and if rows are being inserted? I am not able to use the emulator, since it doesn't play videos etc. very well that is the main feature of my app, so I can only test on phone. Thanks Chris

    I'm quite interested in beginning some development using Amazon SQS, perhaps SimpleDB too, my question is this, are there any open source solutions that mimic the functionality, just for the purposes of development. I've already encountered the Eucalyptus project (http://open.eucalyptus.com) for creating an EC-esque cloud. I've not had any success with google, I suspect it's because the cost of entry is so inexpensive, but still, does anyone know of anything like this?
