  • Code examples for a wallpaper app?

    I would like to write a C# app that runs like an overlay on the desktop wallpaper. Similar to the way that desktop widgets or Rainmeter(rainmeter.net) runs; behind other apps but on top of the desktop wallpaper. I cannot find any C# examples of this kind of behavior.     I have created a windows application setup program, it needs to have a text file in the application folder. The file is also included while creating the setup. Once the setup successfully completes and my program tries to modify the file based on user input, its simple throwing an exception. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Any suggestion/help will be great to overcome this issue.

    I am creating a calendar in PHP and in the database have a date, let's say 6-10-10. Sometimes I have repeating events, stored as weekly repeating, so if the date is 6-10-10, and I am repeating an event every two weeks from that day (including that day) what is the best way to find dates for every two weeks from 6-10-10? For example, let's say the date is 7-8-10, how can I check to see that date meets my criteria?

  • Why do some cookies have a '.' before the domain?

    Trying to share cookies accross 2 domains in asp.net, for some reason 1 domain has a '.' before the domain, and the other doesn't. Why is that? e.g: .staging.example.com and staging.example.com Is this something to do with how I create the cookie, or a web.config change? I am not using forms authentication, just creating a cookie manually.

Is there anything else i have to add to it to make it appear on the Lock Screen as well?

For a little bit I thought a grid was the new thing and the best, now it appears I am wrong after all and not sure of best practice. And, yes, I can write my own CSS but didn't want to create the infrastructure if I didn't have to.

    I am creating an app which will have a question in a UILabel and a multiple choice answers displayed in UITableView, each row showing a multiple choice. Questions and answers will vary, so I need this UITableView to be dynamic in height. I would like to find a "sizeToFit" work around for the table. How can i construct a locale object with a my own ctype implementation (i only found functions to construct a locale using an already existing locale as base..) If C++ does not support construction of locales with a custom ctype facet at all, why is that so ?

    I'm creating a line chart control, and I need to write (or better say draw) the axis names and axis values. I found DrawText and TextOut functions, but the text they show is flickering and don't know how to set the font and text orientation (I will need vertical text orientation as well as horizontal). For example, class foo's constructor wants an array of size 3, so I want to call foo( { 0, 0, 0 } ). I've tried this, and it does not work. I'd like to be able to initialize objects of type foo in other objects' constructor initialization lists, or initialize foo's without first creating a separate array. Is this possible?

  • JUnit Rule TemporaryFolder

    I'm creating a TemporaryFolder using the @Rule annotation in JUnit 4.7. I've tried to create a new folder that is a child of the temp folder using tempFolder.newFolder("someFolder") in the @Before (setup) method of my test. It seems as though the temporary folder gets initialized after the setup method runs, meaning I can't use the temporary folder in the setup method.     hi guys, i am tasked with the job of creating client-side validation on a form in an asp.net MVC 2 application, which has a modal window (the modal exists as part of the wrapping form, it is not a form unto itself). how would i go about providing validation for these text field inputs while the modal is visible, but do not validate while the modal is not displayed (as to not cause problems in the rest of the form if the modal window is never required) What is the best approach to achieve this functionality? thanks, Nick
