  Is there any way to get iPhone coordinates without relying on javascript callback events? touchmove generates way too many events to be used in any kind of tight loop (like a game), and without multi-threading, the only option would seem to be non-event driven input coordinates.

  I've been asked to write a Windows service in C# to periodically monitor an email inbox and insert the details of any messages received into a database table. My instinct is to do this via POP3 and sure enough, Googling for ".NET POP3 component" produces countless (ok, 146,000) results. Has anybody done anything similar before and can you recommend a decent component that won't break the bank (a few hundred dollars maximum)? Would there be any benefits to using IMAP rather than POP3?

  Hey Guys, I'm trying to build a multi model form - but one of the issues, is I need to link the models within the form. For example, lets say the form I have has the following models: Users, Profiles When creating a new user, I'd like to create a new profile simultaneously, and then link the two. Why am I not seeing the access as the impersonated user?

  Trying to solve this problem. I would like to learn how the bootstrapper detects if prerequisites (specifically .NET 3.5) are installed. According to this reference, a way to detect if .NET is installed is to check the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v3.5 Using process monitor, I have inspected registry queries done by the bootstrapper (setup.exe) and it did not show any access to this registry key. Does anybody know how the bootstrapper determines whether the prerequisites are installed on the target system?

  I've written an app that allows me to start multiple PowerPoint presentations, each on its own monitor (this particular config has 4 monitors). The problem I have now is that only the presentation that has focus has any animation. The other 3 pause until they receive focus via mouse click. Is there any way to keep this pause behavior from happening? (trick PowerPoint into thinking that all 4 retain focus, or anything else to accomplish 4 simultaneously animated presentations...)

  I'm writing all sorts of multi lingual text to .txt files using AIR's fileStream.writeUTFBytes() For english characters everything works perfectly.   I'm trying to include something at the end of the comments array for a WordPress plugin. I currently have add_filter('comments_array', 'my_function'), where my_function($comments='') is something along the lines of: my_function($comments='') { echo 'something'; return $comments; } I obviously can't return the comments first, and echoing them doesn't work because $comments is a multi-dimensional array. Is there some way I can print the WordPress comments and then append something to them? Thanks.
