• mx:Tree not dispatching "itemClick" event when click on icon

  I have a flex tree that worked perfectly fine when we set the defaultLeafIcon={null} and the folderClosedIcon and folderOpenIcon to {null}. We decided to put the icons back in and took out the nulls. Now they show up fine, but if you click on the icon instead of the label or the rest of the row, it seems to change the selected item, shows the highlight around the new item, but doesn't dispatch the ItemClick event. This makes it really hard to know that the tree's selected item has changed! The weird part is that once you have clicked on the icon once and it looked like the selectedItem changed (or at least it applied that style), if you click the same icon again, it will actually fire the itemClick event. if you click any other icon, it does the same thing again, switching the selectedItem and styling that row, but not firing the itemClick event. Any ideas? Thanks. (This is in flex 4 btw)

When inserting a row that should fail the test, the row is inserted anyway. • Do MyISAM holes get filled in automatically?

  When you run a delete on a MyISAM table, it leaves a hole in the table until the table is optimized. This affects concurrent inserts. On the default setting, concurrent_inserts only work for tables without holes. However, in the documentation for MyISAM, under the concurrent_insert section it says: Enables concurrent inserts for all MyISAM tables, even those that have holes. For a table with a hole, new rows are inserted at the end of the table if it is in use by another thread. Otherwise, MySQL acquires a normal write lock and inserts the row into the hole. http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/server-system-variables.html#sysvar_concurrent_insert Does that mean MyISAM automatically fills in holes whenever a new row is insert into the table? Previously I thought the holes would not be fixed until you OPTIMIZE a table.

• php echo doesnt print newlines

  Hey ! I started doing a new project in PHP / MySql . The Aim of this project is to manage articles for a magazine that i am the editor of. So the content of the articles, i decided i would store with the "TEXT" column type of MySql Now when i retrieve this column and print it with echo, the newlines are not there. Its all on the same line. $resset = mysql_query("select txt from articles where id = 1"); $row = mysql_fetch_assoc($resset); $txt = $row['txt']; echo $txt; //doesnt print it as it is in the database as it was typed (multiline) Find below, the text as it looks in the database and as it looks when it is echoed But within the database, its stored with newlines. Has anybody else encountered this problem? Please help me as my project depends on this :|

• Help with iphone dev - beyond bounds error

  I'm just learning iphone development, so please forgive me for what is probably a beginner error. I've searched around and haven't found anything specific to my problem, so hopefully it is an easy fix. The book has examples of building a table from data hard coded via an array. Unfortunately it never really tells you how to get data from a URL, so I've had to look that up and that is where my problems show up. When I debug in xcode, it seems like the count is correct, so I don't understand why it is going out of bounds? • ArrangeOverride Vs Storyboard Animation

  Now I may not grasp the idea or this could be a mistake so feel free to correct me. I am doing a bubble breaker game in Silverlight. So when a bubble in a column gets bursted. I want to animate the above bubbles to simulate that they are being dropped. Each bubble knows its Row and column location and that gets updated in the View Model. Now my question is, Should I call invalidateArrange() on the Canvas from the ViewModel so it rearranges the bubbles or just have a storyboard animate the TranslateY. In my arrangeOverride Method I have something like this Rect childBounds = new Rect(CalculateLeft(dataContext.Column), CalculateTop(dataContext.Row), BubbleSize, BubbleSize); child.Arrange(childBounds); If there is a better way let me know. I am trying to learn the best practices.

  Hi, I want to insert a row number in a records like counting rows in a specific number of range. example output: RowNumber ID Name 1 20 a 2 21 b 3 22 c 1 23 d 2 24 e 3 25 f 1 26 g 2 27 h 3 28 i 1 29 j 2 30 k I rather to try using the rownumber() over (partition by order by column name) but my real records are not containing columns that will count into 1-3 rownumber. I already try to loop each of record to insert a row count 1-3 but this loop affects the performance of the query. The query will use for the RDL report, that is why as much as possible the performance of the query must be good. any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

• Updating a TableView with a WebService and Saving to CoreData

  I am working on a project where I have a table view that is currently updated via a web request that returns XML. I implemented -(int)numberOfRowsInTableView:(NSTableView*)tv and -(id)tableView:(NSTableView *)tv objectValueForTableColumn:(NSTableColumn*)tableColumn row:(int)row in my XML parsing class, and have the table updated with the data that is pulled down from the server. I want to save the data that is pulled down using Core Data, so that the table can be saved/loaded. Then later on application start when the web request is made, it will only add data that is not already present. (The XML is sorted by release date, so later I will check to see which release dates are not loaded up from the Core Data store, and only load newer entries.) How would I go about implementing this? I am a very new Cocoa developer, but have gone through the entire Hillegass book. Thanks so much.

  I pull product price from another page. Then I multiply it with quantity entered in the quantity input field. The problem is, if I forget to enter quantity value before I pull product price data or if I change the quantity field later, the final total price is not updated. • Cloning java ArrayList and preventing it from modifications

  I have a data structure like a database Rowset, which has got Rows and Rows have Columns. I need to initialize a Columns with null values, current code is to loop thru each column for a row and initialize values to NULL. Which is very inefficient if you have 100s or rows and 10s of column. So instead I am keeping a initialized ArrayList of columns are RowSet level, and then doing a clone of this Arraylist for individual rows, as I believe clone() is faster than looping thru each element. row.columnsValues = rowsset.NullArrayList.clone() Problem with this is NullArrayList can be accidentally modified after being cloned, thus sacrificing the integrity of ArrayList at RowSet level, to prevent I am doing 3 things 1) Delcaring ArrayList as final 2) Any elements I insert are final or null 3) Methods thurough this arrayList are passed to other arrays are declared a final. Sounds like a plan, do you see any holes ?

• mouseover detection in NSTableView's NSCell?

  I am wanting to change the text background color on a tableview's cell when it is hovered upon, similar to how AddressBook "highlights" the label of a contact's element when you mouseover the label names. However I cannot figure out how to accomplish... detecting a mouseover on a particular NSCell and... After detecting the cell his hovered upon, highlighting the text in that cell (not highlighting the entire row as if the user selected that row) As NSCell is not a subclass of NSView this seems to be a very difficult task. Any example of this or explanation on how this might be done would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Currently, here it is: ^[a-zA-Z\s/-]+ I'm using it to pull out medication names from a variety of formulation strings, for example: SULFAMETHOXAZOLE-TRIMETHOPRIM 200-40 MG/5ML PO SUSP AMOX TR/POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE 125 mg-31.25 mg ORAL TABLET, CHEWABLE AMOXICILLIN TRIHYDRATE 125 mg ORAL TABLET, CHEWABLE AMOX TR/POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE 125 mg-31.25 mg ORAL TABLET, CHEWABLE Amoxicillin 1000 MG / Clavulanate 62.5 MG Extended Release Tablet The resulting matches on these examples are: SULFAMETHOXAZOLE-TRIMETHOPRIM AMOX TR/POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE AMOXICILLIN TRIHYDRATE AMOX TR/POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE Amoxicillin The first four are what I want, but on the fifth, I really need "Amoxicillin / Clavulanate". How would I pull out patterns like "Amoxicillin / Clavulanate" (in fifth row) while missing patterns like "MG/5 ML" (in the first row)?

• Exporting SQL Server table to CSV issue commas, tabs and quotes

  After we export to flat file CSV, columns with commas, quotes and tabs cause problems in Excel. The vendor needs to read the file in Excel to make manual changes and then needs it in a flat file format CSV format to load using PL/SQL into an Oracle table. I can remove those characters from the table in SQL Server, but is there a smarter way? Does it make sense to save to CSV when done in Excel and will that cause problems when attempting to load the file into Oracle anyway? Also, we need the first row to have column names.. any SQL way to generate all the files in one swoop (the the tiles in the first row) rather than using export to flat file?

• Weird Scrolling Issue Using UITableView

  I am a working UINavigationController pushing two different UITableViews on and off the stack. All of my functionality is working correctly except scrolling. When either table is scrolled above the top row, or below the bottom row, it stays there exposing the margin above/below the table. I am looking for the table to "bounce" back so that only the table is visible and not the white space area beyond - just like any other iPhone app. One of my UITableViews is being loaded by NIB and the other is being created programatically - both of which have the exact same result. I have tried all the bounce and scrolling settings in the Nib, but nothing seems to work. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Please let me know if I can be more specific in detailing my problem. Thanks, -Scott

• Jquery mouseover event issues

  Hi I am currently working on a project where I am using jQuery to animate a block of text on mouse over. The event listener is on the containing div (as shown by the code below) and works really well until the mouse is over the title (.views-field-title) which is absolutely above the containing div. The animation begins to jump almost as though it is starting over?   Hello fellows, what's up? :-) I have one problem and i hope you can help me with it. One friend of mine have a simple solid html website and i implemented little php; CRUD system for articles... problem i came across is placing and getting cyrillic characters from mysql database. What i want to achive is next: In the main navigation there are some separated sections, whose names, ids and item's order i want to place in mysql and than to pull names and to put each name as a link. Names are supposed to be cyrillic characters. The problem comes when i, using php mysql_fetch_assoc function, try to display names which are inserted with cyrillic characters in database row, collation of row is utf8_general_ci, and i end with ????? insted of original characters. If i submit cyrillic characters via submit form to mysql it shows something like this У. How can i solve this, thanks in advance!? :-)

Say I have a DataGridViewComboBoxColumn, and want to switch the style of the ComboBox control between DropDownList and DropDown (mainly for the text field editing capability). I'd like to do this on a row-by-row basis (at the DataGridViewComboBoxCell level). How would I do that programatically? Or maybe a different way of asking: How do I access the ComboBox control given an object of type DataGridViewComboBoxCell? (I'm in VB 2005.) Thanks as always.

I'm sing Zend framework, and sending an array from the controller: $this->view->googleArray = $viewFeedArray; In the view, I have a foreach loop that is populating a table with the array contents. <?php foreach($this->googleArray as $row) { ?> <tr> <td><?php echo $row['when']; ?></td> ... ... </tr> <?php } ?> It all works fine. At the top of the table, I want to list the number of items in the array. Something like (which doesn't work): <?php echo $this->googleArray->totalResults; ?> event(s) found How would I do that? • Concatenating rows from different tables into one field

  Hi! In a project using a MSSQL 2005 Database we are required to log all data manipulating actions in a logging table. One field in that table is supposed to contain the row before it was changed. We have a lot of tables so I was trying to write a stored procedure that would gather up all the fields in one row of a table that was given to it, concatenate them somehow and then write a new log entry with that information. I already tried using FOR XML PATH and it worked, but the client doesn't like the XML notation, they want a csv field. Here's what I had with FOR XML PATH: DECLARE @foo varchar(max); SET @foo = (SELECT * FROM table WHERE id = 5775 FOR XML PATH('')); The values for "table", "id" and the actual id (here: 5775) would later be passed in via the call to the stored procedure. Is there any way to do this without getting XML notation and without knowing in advance which fields are going to be returned by the SELECT statement?

• How do you save rows to an array and print out in PHP using ODBC?

  I have the following: while($myRow = odbc_fetch_array( $result )){ <--lots of rows $thisResult['name'] = $myRow["name"] ; $thisResult['race'] = $myRow["race"] ; $thisResult['sex'] = $myRow["sex"]; $thisResult['dob'] = $myRow["dob"]; } I can't figure out how to print this back out. I want to get each row and iterate through each row in the array like a datareader. I'm not sure what to do. I do not want to do the echo in the while. I need to be able to print it out elsewhere. But I don't think I've done it right here to be able to print it later.
