  A great new feature in VirtualBox 4.0 is the ability to use NAT networking and forward ports without needing to use ssh -L/-R tricks.  This is great for booting multiple VM domains simultaneously.  It is possible to have several instances which map back to the host machine and different ports on localhost:* automatically forward to the correct VM.  This avoids the hassle of setting up dns entries or static IP addresses.In this example, I'm mapping the host ports 3xxxx to the VM's well known server ports.Note: It is important to setup the Frontend HTTP host/port to avoid incorrect URL rewriting.You may also need to setup an http channel to deal with local traffic which uses the network address 10.0.2.15Happy VMing.

  I've successfully installed LAMP and created some virtual hosts. Everything is working fine except index.php files. When I try access them, browser returns 500 Error, regardless of their content. All other PHP files are working fine, index.html files can be opened without any errors. Please, help me to resolve this problem. I guess something wrong with server configuration, but I didn't find what exactly.

• Why do XML namespace URIs use the http scheme?

  A XML namespace should be a URI, but it can use any URI scheme, including those that are not URLs. Then why do all widely used XML namespaces use the http scheme (e.g. http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace), considering that trying to use the URI as an URL by retrieving that document using the HTTP protocol is not guaranteed to do anything useful (and often doesn't)? I understand the usefulness of DNS domains in namespace names to help guarantee uniqueness. But that doesn't require the http scheme, there could be a separate scheme for that (something like namespace:w3.org/XML/1998/namespace). This would avoid the confusion between URIs and URLs, while maintaining domain-based uniqueness.

  Does anyone know if its possible in any ways to do this? Transfer a private domain (via domainsbyproxy) registered at godaddy to another registrar. While I know moving a domain from godaddy requires the privacy to be disabled, what we were thinking of doing is the following: a) Update the whois info inside domains by proxy to a 3rd party. Most likely a law firm who would in essnece become our 'custodian'. b) Wait 60 days (?) c) Disable domain privacy. Now the law firms details would become public. d) Conduct the domain transfer. e) Take ownership of the domain at the new registrar. Does something like this sound possible? Does anyone know any other way to handle this? Thanks.

• How should I handle a redirect to an identity provider during a web api data request

  Scenario I have a single-page web app consisting purely of html, css, and javascript. After initial load and during use, it updates various views with data from one or more RESTful apis via ajax calls. The api calls return data in a json format. Each web api may be hosted on independent domains. Question During the ajax callout, if my authorization token is not deemed valid by the web api, the web api will redirect me (302) to the identity provider for that particular api. Since this is an ajax callout for data and not necessarily for display, i need to find a way to display the identity provider's authentication page. It seems that I should trap that redirect, and open up another view to display the identity provider's login page. Once the oauth series of redirects is complete, i need to grab the token and retrigger my ajax data call with the token attached. Is this a valid approach, and if so are there any examples showing the ajax handling of the redirects?

The development is alright, but I was targeting local customers with one domain, and international (english version) with another. Eg: Local http://www.minhalojadesapatos.com.br (this is not the real website, just example!) Other http://www.myshoesstore.com.br Both domain point to exactly the same hosting and content, but when user comes through local domain, default language is set to portuguese, otherwise, default is english. Language handling on backend uses PHP Sessions and cookies, so with just a click users can change content language. How to avoid being SEO-penalised in this context? (yeah, I was hungry when focusing market for choosing two domains but the activity really needs that, it is a travel agency).

I'm curious about the impacts to me from Google of all the urls being hosted with the same analytic tags, webmaster tool tags and server ip ranges. The host Main Domain is domain.com, and all other websites are Add-on Domains: domain.com --folder --domain1 --domain2 --domain3 ... The thing I need is that when calling domain.com in browser, the server read files from another folder. for example when call http://domain.com it shows us http://domain.com/folder BUT I don't mean a redirection, I want server do this in background without showing visitors the real path.   I've been introduced to Computer Science for a little over a year now, and from my experience it seems that C and C++ are both considered one of the "ultrafast" languages out there, whereas others such as Python and such scripting languages are usually deemed somewhat slower. But I've also seen many cases where a software project or even a small one would interleave files where a certain number n of those files would be written in C, and a certain number m of those files would be written in C++. (I also noticed that C++ files almost always have corresponding headers, while C files not so much). But my main point of inquiry is to get a general sense of intuition on when it is appropriate to use C over C++, and when it is better to use C++ over C. Other than the facts that (1) C++ is object-oriented whereas C is not, and (2) the syntaxes are very similar, and C++ was intentionally created to resemble C in many ways, I am not sure what their differences are. It seems to me that they are (almost) perfectly interchangeable in many domains. So it would be appreciated if someone could clear up the situation! Thanks
