  • Redirect from domain to other one

    I deal with the following problem. I am customer of one domain reseller, which has fair prices, fine administration, and I have all my domains registered by it. Recently I've created a new webpage using a free web service (those sites where you can create a simple webpages with some template after few clicks). This new web page has default address in the following form: "pagename.provider.cz", but I want to use my own domain "pagename.cz". And that is the problem, because the provider would assign domain name to my presentation only if I registered mentioned domain by him. That wouldn't be a problem, but he is three times more expensive then my favorite one. So I am thinking about registering domain "pagename.cz" under my favorite registrator and then making 301 PHP redirect from it to "pagename.provider.cz". Shall this affect (negatively) my domain ranking? Are there any catches which I shoud care about?

    How do I configure exim4 to route all emails via a third-party SMTP server when the sender's domain, recipient's domain, and server hostname all match? I followed this great answer and have exim4 sending emails to addresses at other domains tested and working from an Ubuntu server. My only issue is that emails where both the sender and recipient share the same domain as the server hostname, they never leave the server (and this is the expected behavior). For example, sending from [email protected] -- [email protected] works fine, but sending from [email protected] -- [email protected] just routes the mail locally to /var/mail/account2, without passing through the third-party SMTP server. I'm using Google Apps at my own domain and want to send emails from [email protected] to [email protected] from a machine with the hostname example.com. I want to route them through Google's SMTP server so I see them in my other email clients. Is this possible? Very similar questions (but for postfix) here and here.

    I am a netwrok administrator at a small company (22 PC) and i have a problem, and i don't know which could be the cause. I can't access a specific website from the LAN. I have a server which has 2 NICs(one to ISP and one to LAN). I have installed on the server (Bind DNS server and DHCP server) Debian 6 Server. I want to mention that "nslookup mcel.co.mz", and "dig my_site" is not working perfectly, I can't access the site from inside the LAN. I can't send emails to person that are located in that domain. When I dig mcel.co.mz @8.8.8.8 the domain is resolved. Why can't I view a specific websites? www.mcel.co.mz Why can't send email to person that are on some domains? @mcel.co.mz I don't have any rule configured in Debian Server which wouldn't let me acces the site.     Is there a way to route mail to another port? I have an email account attached to my laptop that I'd like to be able to send and receive mail from. Due to mobility, I'll be passing through various networks that will probably block this port. My dynamic DNS provider allows me to utilize web-forwards for MX domains; is this possible? where I can web forward to a domain:port which is managed by my DNS provider when I traverse between networks. If not, is there a way? Of course i could use web-mail or relay-forwarding from my home server, but that's not geeky enough.

    How can a voxel terrain (marching cubes) be textured without triplanar mapping ? The goal being to have more artistic freedom. I think, I could unwrap the mesh while extracting the isosurface then use projective painting. But I do not know how to handle terrain modifications without breaking the texture.     I had installed vmware-server-console just fine. But when yoou open it an as soon as you click in a virtual machine, thats it, the app stop working but not freeze, it just stops recognizing where you click, everywhere you click it puts the cursor inside the VM, you cant switch VMs, cant do rigth clic on the left menu, theres not even the toolbar. I try login in with a classic ubuntu session, but this behavior persist. Is there a way to fix this.

    Recently i started to optimize my company's website. With a little help of market samurai. One of the adjustments was a www redirect to the prefered domain. We currently rank on #8 for our desired keyword with the domain without the www. If I add a custom url (our domain with www), we see a difference in stats BLP (backlinks to the page) {it's the website on top} Can anyone tell me how i could merge this so we might even rank better for our keyword? What I did so far: 3 weeks ago set the www.duo.be as prefered domain in GWT and put a 301 redirect in place so the duo.be gets redirected to www.duo.be Both domains are in GWT and both with www.duo.be as preferred domain.
