• how to stop onChange in javascript

  in one of my selection box, i have a onChange="..." specified... coz i want to change some other form value after any selection changes. however ... in the same page, some wired case i have to manually set the value.. so i have to use some javascript to set the value of the selection combox, but in this case, i don`t want that onChange event to be fired... how can i walk around it??? Forgot to mention that i am actually using dijit.form.comboBox. for normal HTML form comboBox, it won`t cause any issue. Only i use the dijit comboBox, and i try to set the value to some other value, dojo will trigger the onChange.

  Hi all, I'm using the PhysX SDK and I'm trying to load an .obj file with the WavefrontObj object which is defined by the files "wavefront.h/.cpp", localized in the samples directory.   Hello, I am trying to code and style a box which will contain a post. My problem is with multiple borders (i guess), trying to find the best way to code this, i prefer semantic HTML5 and CSS3, but if there is no other way, i can do "old style" with 3 divs (top, center, bottom) with css background: url..., can anyone give me some lights please?   I have a JFrame and a bunch of JComponents on top of the JFrame. I need to make use of the JGlassPane and I used this implementation to set it up. JPanel glass = new JPanel(); frame.setGlassPane(glass); glass.setVisible(true); glass.setOpaque(false); After doing so I can't select any JButtons or other JComponents under the JGlassPane. Is there a way to have only the components on the GlassPane selectable while still having the ability to select components under the GlassPane? Edit I forgot to mention (not knowing this would be relevant) that I did attach both a MouseListener and a MouseMotionListener to the glass pane. Is there a way to pass the Mouse Events to other components and only use them when needed?

  I am currently building a system which will have entities that will have scores like reputation etc.. I will have a service that will check for certain rules having been triggered, and will perform certain logic if they are triggered. Previously I have used say an Enum for doing this when I have only had to store an id and a description. public enum ShoppingCratCalculation { PartialCalculation = 1, CompleteCalculation =2 } But in this situation I want to carry more information, such as the modification to reputation, all in one place. I'm essentially asking what data structure would be best suited to storing this information, for each rule in the system. 1. Description = string ("User forgot to write a review") 2. DB id = int (23) 3. Rep score modification = int (-5) Maybe a little class (Rule) with these as properties , and then just a list? Does anyone have any best practice suggestions for this kind of struct?

• How do I read input character-by-character in Java?

  I am used to the c-style getchar(), but it seems like there is nothing comparable for java. I am building a lexical analyzer, and I need to read in the input character by character. I know I can use the scanner to scan in a token or line and parse through the token char-by-char, but that seems unwieldy for strings spanning multiple lines. Is there a way to just get the next character from the input buffer in Java, or should I just plug away with the Scanner class? Edit: forgot to say where the input is coming from. The input is a file, not the keyboard.

  Hi! I'm writing an interface that will be implemented by a lot of classes, and I'm writing a class that will hold a collection of instances of these implementations. Every class will have a default constructor. So, is there a simple way (e.g. using some kind of reflection) to put an instance of each of these implementing classes to the collection? Besides doing it manually, which is simple, yes, but a lot of work and error prone (what if I missed an implementation while writing the method? What if a new implementation came and I forgot to update the given method?). So, what I would like is to be able to iterate through all classes of a given namespace or maybe through the list of all available classes. My method then would simply check, through reflection, if the given class implements the given interface, and if it does, puts it into the collection. Thank you.

  I would like to change the default behavior of Wordpress regarding the number of articles displayed on a same page to be the following : when displaying the home page, the 10 most recent articles should be displayed, 10 being the setting which can be changed through the admin panel (posts_per_page) when displaying the articles of a specific month (given through the URL like this : ?m=200906&order=ASC, I'd like to display on the same page all articles of this month (in other words, I don't want to have to browse through articles using previous entries or next entries.   I have a question I don't know if it can be solved. I have one C# project on Visual Studio 2005 and I want to create different DLL names depending on a preprocessor constant. What I have in this moment is the preprocessor constant, two snk files and two assembly's guid. I also create two configurations (Debug and Debug Preprocessor) and they compile perfectly using the snk and guid appropiate. #if PREPROCESSOR_CONSTANT [assembly: AssemblyTitle("MyLibraryConstant")] [assembly: AssemblyProduct("MyLibraryConstant")] #else [assembly: AssemblyTitle("MyLibrary")] [assembly: AssemblyProduct("MyLibrary")] #endif Now, I have to put the two assemblies into the GAC. The first assembly is added without problems but the second isn't. What can I do to create two or more different assemblies from one Visual Studio project? It's possible that I forgot to include a new line on "AssemblyInfo.cs" to change the DLL name depending on the preprocessor constant?

• How to package AIR 2 native installer?

  I have made an AIR 2.0 app that uses NativeProcess so it needs to be packaged as a native installer (.exe) rather than a .air file. I first tried using Package Assistant but I kept getting an error telling me it cannot load keystore file. so I tried using the command line I use: pathToAirSDK>adt -args but I get an error telling me that "adt" is not a known command so I try: pathToAirSDK>adt.jar -args but I get a pop up telling me windows does not know how to open adt.jar files. Has anyone packaged a native installer for an AIR 2.0 app? How did you do it? edit forgot to mention I am doing this in windows using the windows command line.

Recently I created a test GWT module, but eventually it has been deleted from the project and I can not find any sign of it in the project now. However, whenever I run the web app locally, I get in console the following message: Loading modules com.piq.exemity.Test [ERROR] Unable to find 'com/XXXXXX/Test.gwt.xml' on your classpath; could be a typo, or maybe you forgot to include a classpath entry for source? Has anyone got any idea where it can be hiding?

• vs2008 attach to process, can't see which process

  Hi, In vs2003 (and vs2005(not sure about that)) when I attached to a process, before actually attaching I could see which process were running under w3wp (I have a couple of websites running locally) so I knew which exact .net application I was about to debug. however in vs2008 the window doesn't show up anymore.. now I have to attach it, come to the conclusion it was the wrong process, stop debugging and attach it to the other process (if I haven't forgot teh processid :P ) Is there a way to "enable" that interesting window to see with .net apps are runnig in that specific w3wp process? or am i missing something obvious?

  Hello everyone, Under Solaris 10, I'm creating a library A.so that calls a function f() which is defined in library B.so. To compile the library A.so, I declare in my code f() as extern. Unfortunately, I "forgot" to declare in A's makefile that it has to link with B. However, "make A" causes no warning, no error, and the library A.so is created. Of course, when executing A's code, the call of f() crashes because it is undefined. Is there a way (linker option, code trick...) to make the compilation of library A fail ? How can I be sure that all symbols refered to in library A are defined at compile time ? Thanks for any suggestions.

• Codeigniter: A nice straight forward tutorial on how to build a reset password/forgotten password?

  I've built a full sign up system with user account activation, login, validation, captcha etc. To complete this I now need to implement a forgot password/reset password feature.. I have created one function that generates a random password 8 characters, another method that takes that random password word and applies sha1 and hashing. Also one that takes that hashed password and stores it in a table in the database. I will keep these methods to one side as they might come in handy later on but for now I would like to know if anyone can point me to a nice tutorial for creating a password reset feature for my website. The reason for this is because I am using an open source jar and I am getting the following errors on my LogCat such as: unable to resolve virtual method unable to find class referenced in signature unable to resolve new-instance The effect of this causes an error on running my android application on the debugger. I was using android ADT 15 before now I am updated to 17. Please help on finding a solution to resolve the issue. Edit* Forgot to add in The error "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError". • Where is Win7's jump list data stored?

  As per Jumplist Extender, I'm trying to prevent other apps from refreshing their jump lists (it's assumed that the user WANTS to do this, seeing as this is a JL editor.) One idea is to look for file or registry changes, where the data may be stored, and prevent the data from being written to. The question is, where is the jump list data stored? It has to be somewhere! I know there's a folder location for pinned items, but I forgot what it is. It'd be great if I can get the "task" data, as well. Here's the original report.

  Hi All, I am using require 'digest/sha1' to encrypt my password and save into database. During login I authenticate by matching the encrypted password saved in database and again encrypted the one use enter in password field. As of now everything works fine but now I want to do 'Forgot Password' functionality. To do this I need to decrypt the password which is saved in database to find original one. How to decrypt using digest/sha1? Or does anyone know any algorithm which supports encryption & decryption as well? I am using ruby on rails so I need Ruby way to accomplish it.

• Restoring using SyncBack without profiles

  I backed up my internal hard drive (C:) using SyncBack onto an external (USB) hard drive with maximum compression. I then performed a clean install of Windows Vista onto the computer. I forgot to copy the SyncBack logs before the clean install. And now when ever I try to restore a directory, the RAR/ZIP files are copied to the system hard drive instead of extracting their contents to the hard drive. Also, SyncBack is not traversing the folders during the Restore process. How can I tell SyncBack to expand the compressed files? I am running the freeware version of SyncBack. I have to create new log files (unless SyncBack put them somewhere on the external drive). My alternative is to write a program that traverses the folders on the external drive and extracts files from the RAR/ZIP files. I am using Windows Vista, Service Pack 2, and the data size prior to backup was about 200 GB. (The backup process took over 72 hours due to "hiccups").
