    i published an application in vb.net. the user will be able to install the application anywhere they choose on the computer (or perhaps not anywhere they choose but where ever the default location is). how can i programmatically get the location where the user installed the application? another words i need the application to know where it is running from. how do i detect that?

  • Apache modules installed but don't seem to load in Ubuntu

    I am pretty new to Linux. Got a VPS set up yesterday, installed Apache2, PHP5 and MySQL. When I do apache2 -l I get this: Compiled in modules: core.c mod_log_config.c mod_logio.c prefork.c http_core.c mod_so.c When I do sudo a2enmod rewrite I get this: Module rewrite already enabled And rewrite.load is in /etc/apache2/mods-enabled. Can anyone tell what's wrong?

    I'm trying to run a webapp/site on my machine, it's running on OSX 10.6.2 and I'm having some problems: Caught an exeption while rending: The _imagingft C module is not installed Doing import _imagingft in python gives me this: >>> import _imagingft Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> ImportError: dlopen(/Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/PIL/_imagingft.so, 2): Symbol not found: _FT_Done_Face Referenced from: /Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/PIL/_imagingft.so Expected in: flat namespace in /Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/PIL/_imagingft.so It's seems that the Freetype library is the one having problems. No errors so far when installing PIL or when I compiled(?) the jpeg and freetype libraries so far. I'm on django 1.1.1, python 2.6.2.

  • installing visual studio 2005 after 2008 already installed

    I have a machine with VS 2008/Sql 2008 already installed. I now need to install an instance of vs 2005/Sql 2005 for two reasons. The main reason is for reporting Services 2005. All of the report servers are sql 2005. Now to create a SSRS compatible with 2005 do I just need to install Sql Server 2005 and work with it in VS 2008 or do I also need to install VS 2005. The second reason is the off-site team that I am consulting with do not want the project upgraded yet. So without rebuilding the whole box is there a safe way to install VS 2005 on a box that already contains 2008? Same question for Sql Server 2005? Thanks

    For some reason, we can't update the SVN in some build machines. Installed svn version is 1.3.x. But Hudson slave used 1.6 to create a checkout.     Trying to debug this error with getting a Django project running ImproperlyConfigured: AUTH_USER_MODEL refers to model 'accounts.User' that has not been installed Running python manage.py migrate Must iterate i am in no way a python or django expert - I have simply inherited someone elses project that I am trying to get running for the team here. I have followed steps to install postgres required modules including south creating database for postgres Any help appreciated on how to debug this. settings/base.py contains INSTALLED_APPS = DJANGO_APPS + THIRD_PARTY_APPS + LOCAL_APPS LOCAL_APPS = ( 'apps.core', 'apps.accounts', 'apps.project_tool', 'apps.internal', 'apps.external', ) so apps.accounts exits - but it asks for AUTH_USER_MODEL = 'accounts.User' - should it be AUTH_USER_MODEL = 'apps.accounts.User'?

On the download page there were packages including Apache server which I did not use - because I didn't want to replace my current Apache installation. I just installed the one that did not include Apache, and now I want to configure it to work with my current Apache. What should I do? Is there an easy step by step tutorial to explain this?

    Hi, I have a home server, on which I have installed Apache, and several other applications that have a Web GUI (JDownloader, Free Download Manager). In order to access each of these apps (whether be it from the local network or the Internet), I have to enter a different port, e.g., http:// server:8085 or http:// xxxx.dyndns.org:8085 for Apache, http:// server:90 or http:// xxxx.dyndns.org:90 for FDM, http:// server:8081 or http:// xxxx.dyndns.org:8081 for JDownloader. I would like to be able to access them using sub-domains, e.g, http:// apache.server or http:// apache.xxxx.dyndns.org for Apache, http:// fdm.server or http:// fdm.xxxx.dyndns.org for FDM, http:// jdownloader.server or http:// jdownloader.xxxx.dyndns.org for JDownloader. First of all, would it be possible like I want it, i.e., both from LAN and Internet, and if yes, how?   • After I've installed it, NUnit doesn't appear in VS2008

    Hello, I downloaded and installed NUnit successfuly (or so I was told by the installer). Now, when I start a project, I don't see NUnit in the 'Create UnitTest' prompt as one the choice I'm givven to. All I can see are (i) VS Unit Test and (ii) Mb Unit v3 as choices. In fact, I downloaded today the MbB Unit. After, installing it, I was able to see it right away in the prompt. What happen to the NUnit? Althought, I can see it when I do Start - All Programs Or maybe NUnit dosn't need to appear in the prompt as choice since it has its own GUI. Thanks for helping

  • Modify installed SharePoint feature

    I have written a sequential workflow in SharePoint on our development environment. After testing, we decided to deploy this workflow as a feature on the staging environment. We did the following: copied the strongly named assembly to the GAC using gacutil copied feature.xml and workflow.xml to WebServerExtensions/12/templates/features/someFolder installed feature (stsadm command) activated feature (stsadm command) All worked exactly as planned and the workflow behaved correctly. The problem was, we decided to change something in the code (a message was not very self explanatory), so on the development machine we updated the message as requested and rebuilt the project. The problem is, we cannot seem to find a way to correctly get rid of the previous version of this workflow/feature. To deploy the upgrade, we: deactivated and uninstalled the feature (stsadm commands), removed also from GAC. increased the version of the assembly performed steps 1 to 4 from above. When using the workflow we are still getting the first message, we cannot find a way to get the new message to be displayed. What are we missing?

I want to release a bug-fixed version v-1.0.1 of this package but while testing it, I am getting "Another version of this product is already installed Installation of this version cannot continue.To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove program on the Control Panel". I want this bug-fixed version to install silently without asking user to uninstall and install new one. Please help me how can I achieve this, I am using visual studio 2008. Thanks in Advance! Sam
