• Undefined symbols after installing new xcode 3.2.3 build

  I want to move to the new XCode 3.2.3 GM Seed build for development, but when I bring up my project I get 'base sdk missing' because my project is set to use iPhone SDK 3.0. If I change 'base SDK' to iPhone 3.2 or 4.0 and then compile I get a lot of errors that I don't understand. I dumped a few of them below. Can anyone tell me what I am missing? Also, can someone confirm that if I choose 'base sdk' of iPhone 3.2 or 4.0 that I can still choose 'target device' of iPhone 3.0 and not force my customers to install the new SDK. I really don't want to be the app that forces my customers to upgrade their OS. Thanks! • error initializing multiple configuration files

If yes, does this have any negative impact for a web application? Are multiple reads permitted to be in flight or not? Writes? Is this the appropriate way to secure the location of the Position of the stream between the call to Seek and the call to BeginRead? Or does that lock need to be held all the way to EndRead, hence only one read or write in flight at a time? I understand that the callback will occur on a different thread, and my handling of state, buffer handle that in a way that would permit multiple in flight reads. Further, does anyone know where in the documentation to find the answers to these questions? Or an article written by someone in the know? I've been searching and can't find anything.   Why is locking a type considered very bad? For example, lock(typeof(DateTime)) I understand that static methods of any class in .net is considered thread safe, and that instance members are not. So it isn't necessary to lock DateTime while you are using it. The book I am reading doesn't explain why it is bad it just says it is. Any explanation will be great.

In java console, i get the following output: Creating new thread Inside new thread. inside first while. Inside getNewMessage. Trying to listen to servlet. In the servlet side, i get the following output in the tomcat logs: Inside Doget. inside getNextMessage. AddedObserver. After i type a message in the applet, and send it, I get the foll output in java console: Trying to send msg :you deR?? Message sent! But in servlet side, I dont get anything in the logs. I used the O'Reily Java Servlet Programming as reference(The observer interface comes from there). But I am not getting any chat communication between two clients. As can be understood from the logs, the POST method is not called. Any reason for this?
