    Hi All, I need to read a PNG file and interpret all the information stored in it and print it in human readable format. While working on PNG, i understood that it uses CRC-32 for generating checksum for each chunk. But I could not understand the following information mentioned on the PNG file specification site: The polynomial used by PNG is: x32 + x26 + x23 + x22 + x16 + x12 + x11 + x10 + x8 + x7 + x5 + x4 + x2 + x + 1 Here is the link for reference: http://www.w3.org/TR/PNG/ Can anyone please help me in understanding this?   • Parser generator for inline documentation

    To have a general-purpose documentation system that can extract inline documentation of multiple languages, a parser for each language is needed. A parser generator (which actually doesn't have to be that complete or efficient) is thus needed. http://antlr.org/ is a nice parser generator that already has a number of grammars for popular languages. Are there better alternatives i.e. simpler ones that support generating parsers for even more languages out-of-the-box?

  • Android app crashes when I change the default xml layout file to another

    I am currently just starting to learn android development and have created a basic "Hello world" app that uses "activity_main.xml" for the default layout. I tried to create a new layout xml file called "new_layout.xml" with a text view, a text field and a button and did the following changes in the MainActivity.java file: setContentView(R.layout.new_layout); I did nothing else expect for adding a new_layout.xml in the res/layout folder, I have tried restarting and cleaning the project but nothing. Furthermore, I need to rapidly hit a number of documents, so when I do this with the default EntityResolver, I get 503 from w3.org. How, then, can I use a XOM builder with a custom entity resolver?

  • Grails Liferay portlet not invoking action

    I am trying to create a simple portlet for Liferay 5.2.2 using Grails 1.2.1 with the grails-portlets 0.7 and grails-portlets-liferay 0.2 plugins. I created and deployed a stock portlet (just updated title, description, etc...). It deploys correctly and the view renders correctly. However, when I submit the default form that is in view.gsp it never hits the actionView function. Here are the relevant code bits: SearchPortlet.groovy class SearchPortlet { def title = 'Search' def description = ''' A simple search portlet. I would've thought that should be an action request.

  • What's the use of Ant's extension-point if/unless attributes?

    When you define an extension-point in an Ant build file you can have it conditional by using the if or unless attribute. On a target the if/unless prevent it's tasks from being run. But an extension-point doesn't have any tasks to conditionally run, so what does the condition do? My thought (which proved to be incorrect in Ant 1.8.0) is it would prevent any tasks that extend the extension-point from being run. Since an extention-point doesn't have any tasks exactly what has been skipped? Any targets that depend on the extention-point still get executed since a skipped target is a successful target. What is the value of the if/unless attributes on an extention-point?

[Serializable] [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlRoot("Titles")] public partial class Titles : Collectable<Title> { } The problem is when I call the method, it expects "Collectable" to be the XmlRoot, but the XmlRoot is "Titles" (all of object Title). I have several classes that are collected in .xml files like this, but it seems pointless to rewrite the basic methods for loading each up when the generic accessors do it - but how can I enforce the proper root name for each file without hard coding methods for each one? The [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlRoot] seems to be ignored. When called like this... var titles = Repository.List<Models.Title>(); I get the exception <Titlesxmlns=''> was not expected.
