I would like to markup my business listing 'profile' level pages for display as enhanced listings/rich-snippets complete with business names, addresses and phone numbers. I would also like to display site-links and path-based breadcrumbs to help users navigate site directory hierarchy (which is deep). Is there a limit to the amount of breadcrumbs a site can leave? Is there a separate limit on the number of breadcrumbs which Google/Bing will display in the SERP? What kind of markup language(s) would be needed to best position my site to show site-links AND breadcrumbs? • How should I structure a site with content dependent on visitor type (not user)?

  I have a website that displays different content depending on two selections made by a visitor: Whether they are a teacher or student, and their learning level (from 4 options). Everything is public and they don't need to authenticate to access the content. Depending on their selection, different content is displayed across the whole site, other than a contact and about page. The tone of the language changes depending on whether the visitor is a student or teacher and the materials available on each page also change depending on the learning level, however in all cases, the structure of the site is identical. Currently I'm using a cookie to store the visitor's selections and render different content appropriately, so I have a single set of URLs which display different content depending on the cookie, with one of the permutations as default. I appreciate this is far from ideal, but what is the better option? Would I be better using a distinguishing segment for each selection, for example: http://example.com/teacher/lv3/resources/activities http://example.com/teacher/lv4/resources/activities http://example.com/student/lv4/resources/activities etc. What is the most sensible way to handle this situation?

  I'm looking to register a few more domains for my company, I have my-company.com at the moment, but now require my-company.com.au and my-company.nl and some others.. I'm running through my options and wondering what is the best.. Duplicate all the content on the .com package and make a replica at the other domains Buy the other domains but do a 301 redirect back to the .com domain. Create a full new website with different content for the new domains, thus having no text duplication We currently sell over the world so would like to raise our Search rankings in various countries, can this be done by buying the domain in the country, and if so, how will the above methods affect our search rankings. • Tracking a single page on another domain in Google Analytics

  I have access to edit a 'mini-site' hosted on our organisation's parent site. I'd like to track this page using Google Analytics, however I don't have access to the front page so I can't verify this as my domain. Using the tracking code for our main site works, however I don't want this data to be confused with similarly named pages on our site (for example, our mini-site is at /radio, and if we had a /radio at our main site this would be counted as the same). Has anyone been in this situation before? I'd like to just redirect visitors to our mini-site to our main site, seeing as it ranks higher in Google, but I've been told to maintain a separate site with our main features.

• Apache 2.4 PHP 5.4 MySQL enabled but not found? [migrated]

  Just tried setting up the latest Apache (2.4.1 x86 VC10 from apachelounge) and PHP (5.4 VC9 TS X86, with the php5apache2_4.dll) on my PC and ran into this weird problem; in my php.ini I have enabled all of the following: extension=php_mysql.dll extension=php_mysqli.dll extension=php_pdo_mysql.dll but when I try to print the available PDO's using this: print_r(PDO::getAvailableDrivers()); It gives me an empty array. PhpMyAdmin and MantisBT also refuse to work, saying that the mysql extension is missing. phpinfo() gives this: PDO PDO support enabled PDO drivers no value and when searching for mysql, only the mysqlnd section pops up... The DLLs are there in the D:/php/ext folder and no errors pop up when starting up Apache, as well as no errors in the Windows Event Log, and PHP itself has no error log anyway. What could possibly be the problem with this? Before this I had Apache 2.2.22 from apachelounge and PHP 5.3.9 and I had no problems. Now nothing works...

  Each page on my site contains a file, and I have Google Analytics set up to track file download events. I would like to see what fraction of users who visit Page X download Page X's file. I can view number of events by page by clicking on Content » Events » Pages. But I can't figure out how to see both events and pageviews (or visits) at the same time. Visits and pageviews are not available in the Secondary dimension dropdown from the Events list, and Events are not available as a Secondary dimension in the regular traffic listing (Content » Site Content » All Pages). I want something like this: Page Pageviews Events 1. /section/mypage 1,000 123 2. /category/anotherpage 867 41 3. /about/download 88 7 Is there a way to get this in Google Analytics?—to view events and pageviews, by page, at the same time?

• 301 redirect from a country specific domain

  I originally started using a .do domain extension for my site, but later realized that this country specific domain would prevent us from appearing in search results for places outside of the Dominican Republic. We started using a .co domain extension and redirected all requests to the new domain using an HTTP 301. The "Crawl Stats" in Google Webmaster Tools shows me that the .co domain is being crawled, but the "Index Status" shows the number of pages indexed at 0. The "Crawl Stats" for the .do domain says that it's being crawled and the "Index Status" shows a number greater than 0. I also set a "Change Of Address" in Google Webmaster Tools to have the .do domain point to the new .co domain. We're still not appearing in search results at all even for very specific strings where I would expect to find us. Am I doing something wrong?

• Need private personal access to ~three PHP pages

  I would like secure access to the text output by three PHP scripts (the text output is JavaScript and html) . The security level is much less then financial data but important none-the-less. I have considered purchasing AND studying https and SSL certificates. Hostgator charges an extra $2/month for a private ip plus $50+ anually for a certificate. This is more then I want to spend for this project (time + money). Is there a simpler solution that is: less expensive easier to implement. I'm open to different approaches.

  There is a site of ill-repute known as thedirty which has completely mirrored my site and now has links appearing on Google at the #1 spot using my content. I checked my log files and noticed that this site has been crawling mine for sometime, and also has 10,000 links from their site to mine. I have blocked user access which is referred from this site and reported them as web spam to Google already. I also disavowed the domain. How are they getting top links in Google (even overtaking mine) for such nefarious tactics? What are the steps to completely eliminating an issue such as this?

• Adwords: is it possible to automatically copy changes in one campaign to other campaigns?

  Is it possible to have identical campaigns except for one thing, and whenever changes are made to one campaign, the same changes are automatically made to others? I want to have identical campaigns running for different time zones, but for the campaigns only to run between particular hours of the day in each time zone. If I have a campaign for each time zone, when I make changes to one campaign, such as adding ad groups, or adding keywords, or changing bid amounts, etc, I want those changes to occur to the other campaigns also.   How can I go about/what is the best way of estimating what kind of server resources I will require at the launch of a new project. Let's say for instance I'd gathered 10k users email addresses that opted-in to be informed when we launch. I didn't really want to go for a cloud solution at the moment. Should I just get a reasonably-specced dedicated server and go from there, or should I be looking at services like Amazon EC2? Or should I start out with EC2 for the fully-flexible resources, then once things stabilize I'll be able to sort a fixed hosting deal that is adequate elsewhere? Sub-question: What's a good way of estimating what load a particular application will place on the server per user?

• My cPanel login is being redirected. How can I resolve this?

  I'm trying to get to cPanel to manage my website. When I type www.mydomain.com:2082 into the browser window, the request seems to be redirected. I made a screen-cast so I could slow down the changes in the address bar. First it seems to go to http://www.mydomain.com:2082/login then http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-sys/login.cgi At this point, a screen briefly appears which says 'Login attempt failed' and then the address is redirected to https://this22.thishost.com:2083/, which is no relation to my site at all. This looks to me like there has been an attack on the system and the login.cgi file is compromised. Any suggestions on how to analyze this further? or fix it? Of course my 'free hosting' isn't any help at all.

• Impact of migrating home page from http to https on search results

  Guys - I've just had to change one of my site's home page to https from http. I had plenty links coming into the http page and was performing well in Google against many of my targeted search phrases. I did a 301 redirect from the http page to transfer the link juice to the https page (and to prevent duplicate content issues), but my search rankings have tanked which indicates no link juice has been transferred. My PR has vanished - which I'd expect - but I'm really surprised that the SERP rankings fell off the face of the earth. Anyone have any ideas how I can recover this. I've waited a couple of months since the changes took effect just in case Google was taking time to check it out.

  I have created a blog on Tumblr a few days ago. Looking over the statistics, it seems that Tumblr itself is visiting my website, using different browsers. What is this supposed to mean? Are these real visitors or is it a Tumblr bot? One example: Browser: Chrome 32.0 OS: Win8 Resolution: 1024x768 Location: New York, United States IP Address: Tumblr (66.6.40.249) Referring URL: (No referring link) Other browsers used include: Chrome 20.0.1090.0 Firefox 21 Opera 12.14 Chrome 15.0.861.0 Chrome 32.0.1667.0 Internet Explorer 6 Internet Explorer 9 Opera 12 Opera 12.02 They all use the same screen resolution (1024x768) and have no referrer. The flash version is not set, but they do support javascript. Unfortunately, I don't have the full user agent string.

• Website migration from WordPress to a static site and doing 301 redirects without access to existing site?

  Currently working on a project that is a hosted on WordPress that is being migrated to a static site. However I presently do not have access to the existing site as it's managed by another developer. The concern is not the lack of having access to content as the site owner has generated very little content (reason for migration) and we were able to do this manually. Rather the concern is to do 301 redirects. The site will not change domains but URLs such as from example.com/?page_id=3 to example.com/services. To add, the site is migrating to new server using same domain name. I thought maybe this could be done via editing permalinks prior to migration and WordPress would update automatically if configured to write on server. But if not configured (as this is not always the case) I do not have htaccess to fix it in case there are suddenly a bunch of 404 errors for every page. Really could use some help on the best procedure to follow in this case. This is the first migration project I've worked on.

• Adding users to multiple/all sites in Google Webmaster Tools?

  I didn't find an answer to this, but maybe I didn't use the right terms for my search. So I'm sorry if this is a duplicate. Anyway, my situation is this: the company I work at manages a lot of sites (100+), and we've recently put them all into Google Webmaster Tools under my Google account, which was tedious enough. Now two coworkers are supposed to be added as users for each site, so they can see the data and manage stuff there as well. But I can only find an option to add users for a single site, not for all sites that are currently associated with my account. Do I really have to go through more than a hundred sites one by one and add the two users to each of them, or is there some way to add both users to all/multiple sites at once?
