  • Implement keyboard control in JavaScript Grid

    I finished building a JavaScript grid control, end everything works fine. Paging, button navigation, column sorting, etc. The cells in the grid are DIVs which are generated using Mootools 1.2.4 (which is heavily used throughout the control). I want to implement keyboard control for the grid, both for paging (page up/page down) and for moving with arrow keys inside the rows/cells of the grid. I think that I have to attach an event handler on each cell of the grid and detect what key is being pressed in order to take an appropriate action. But, I can't set the focus on the cells. What am I missing? How do I do this? Any help is appreciated.

  • accessing google maps via UIWebView - illegal?

    New to iPhone development. Working on first app. I'm accessing google maps via UIWebView to forward geocode an address using "http://maps.google.com/maps?q=my address". It works, although it has this quirk of requiring you to hit "Back" button and then the "Detail" button (provided by the navigation bar) to get back to the screen from whence you started. If anyone knows why it does this, I'd love to hear. My real question, however, is this a legal use of google maps? Since I intend this app for commercial use, am I violating Google's rules + regs? If it is illegal, what's my alternative? Thanks.

  • jquery tablesorter problem in FF only - header row disappears after show-hide of rows

    When the page loads, all the records show. Sorting works great until show-hide is used to filter the rows so only some show. Then the header row--with the arrows for sorting--DISAPPEARS. The problem is only in Firefox. It works great in IE7 and IE8. I'm using jQuery 1.4.2 from google.   • A little bit more complicated multiview App for Iphone

    Hi, i'm new to iphone development. I spend several days by looking for how write muliview app for an Iphone OS. I found how to switch the diferent views without navigation hierarchy (in this article). It's great, but i want more complicated function. For example, i have three diferent views (view 1 - 3) and i can switch between them with technique from link 1. It works fine. My question is: How can i put UITabBarController on view 2, that shows own subviews (tabView 1 - 3) and how put UINavigationController on view 3, that shows own subviews (navView 1 - 2)? The reslut should look like that, one main view (view 1) with two buttons (for example), which switch me to "window" with UiTabBarController or UINavigationController. I found only tutorials, where UITabBarController was a first controller class, that shows directly from AppDelegate (something like default Xcode predefined scenarios). Thanks for your helpfull answer, or i will be crazy soon:).

    Scenario: I am parsing values from an XML file using C# and have the following method: private static string GetXMLNodeValue(XmlNode basenode, string strNodePath) { if (basenode.SelectSingleNode(strNodePath) != null) return (basenode.SelectSingleNode(strNodePath).InnerText); else return String.Empty; } To get a particular value from the XML file, I generally pass the root node and a path like "parentnode/item" I recently ran into an issue where two nodes at the same document level share the same name. Question: What is the best way to get the values for duplicate-named nodes distinctly? My thought was to load all values matching the node name into an array and then using the array index to refer to them. I'm not sure how to implement that, though. (I'm not well-versed in XML navigation.)

  • memory issue iPad 4.2 crashes

    I am developing a application which receives 600-700 KB of XML data from the server. I have to do some manipulations in that data so once received the data the memory increases to 600 KB to 2 M.B. Already view occupied 4 M.B of memory in the application. So while processing the XML data i m doing some manipulation(pre-parsing) and the memory increases to 600 K.B to 2 M.B and finally decreases to 600 K.B. due to increase in memory, application gives the memory warning. While getting memory warning i m releasing all the views in the navigation controller but it releases only 1 M.B of memory. Even though I release all the views the application is crashing. Please help me out in this issue. It happens in iPad 4.2. Thanks in advance

    In ipad app I want to set UISplitViewController method set in portrait mode.(i.e Like Settings application in ipad) I have created a SplitViewbased application .When i run the application in portrait mode it doesn't show the splitview when i change the orientation into landscape it shows the splitview.In portrait mode also there is a toolbar button name "Root List" When i click the button it shows popover view to split view. I tried using z-index, but it didn't work. 2 ) I'm trying to make the div #search align directly beneath the "More", but upon setting the width of #search, it aligns to the left side. 3 ) When I hover over the navigation on the left, the popup is being overlapped by the text in the middle. I want the popup to be on top of the text.

    I have a UIPopoverController which I'm trying to show from a UIBarButtonItem in a navigation bar. Despite setting the resizing mask for the tableview inside the popover's content viewController, it takes up the whole height of the screen. The only thing which has any effect on the content size is menuPopover.contentViewController.view setFrame:CGRect. I'm using the code below to show the popover inside the left hand side of a UISplitViewController // menuPopover and editVc are properties on the parent viewController menuPopover = [[UIPopoverController alloc] initWithContentViewController:editVc]; [menuPopover presentPopoverFromBarButtonItem:btnMenu permittedArrowDirections:UIPopoverArrowDirectionAny animated:true]; [menuPopover setPopoverContentSize:CGSizeMake(400, 500) animated:true]; [menuPopover.contentViewController.view setFrame:CGRectMake(0,0,400, 500)]; Yet this is what I'm seeing. But I want use U to differentiate the type (one logic) like NullReferenceException, ArgumentNull Exception, etc. but want to leave the base function(no differentiation by type - other logic) as well.

  • Display archive posts in Wordpress

    I am looking to display archives pages as a normal posts page... So, a posts page with a secondary navigation showing: Latest posts / Last month / Last year / Older On each of those pages, I would like to display a summary of each post just like the standard latest news page. When you click through you get to the full post. For each of menu items I have created seperate page templates such as archives_month.php, Then in the template instead of using For the LAST MONTH page. But I now cannot use this for LAST YEAR and OLDER posts. Can anyone help me? I've looked into a number of different ways to do it but on some blogs it's not clear and most people just retrieve a list of archives rather than displaying the posts. Thanks in advance. Mel

    I have a basic pagination system that looks something like that: First | < Previous | 1, 2, [3], 4, 5 ... 100, 101, 102 | Next > | Last Nothing fancy really. I am looking at various plugins to improve the way the user would browse this, but so far I haven't found anything really new or interesting except: http://tympanus.net/jPaginate/ : interesting way of browsing between pages but still very classical in the realization http://cpojer.net/Scripts/Pagination/ : totally new way of doing pagination, but the implementation isn't perfect and it's not really usable. Do you guys have ideas on how I could improve the way my users browse through navigation? Are there any good jQuery plugins out there already doing that?

    Inside of a phase listener class that runs during the "RESTORE_VIEW" phase, I have some code like this: public void afterPhase(PhaseEvent event) { FacesContext fc = event.getFacesContext(); NavigationHandler nh = fc.getApplication().getNavigationHandler(); nh.handleNavigation(fc, null, "/a/specific/path/to/a/resource.jspx"); } Navigation to the new URL doesn't work here. The request made will just receive a response from the original JSPX that was navigated to. Code like this works fine: public void afterPhase(PhaseEvent event) { FacesContext fc = event.getFacesContext(); NavigationHandler nh = fc.getApplication().getNavigationHandler(); nh.handleNavigation(fc, null, "OUTCOME_DEFINED_IN_FACES_CONFIG_XML"); } Also the first snippet will work with an IceFaces Faces provider, but not Sun JSF 1.2 which is what I need to use. Is there something I can do to fix the code so it is possible to forward to specific URLs?

  • Hide Java application from command-tab application switcher in OSX

    I have a java application that has an icon in the tray of the menu bar at the top of OSX. I've been able to remove the icon from the dock when the application is "minimized to tray", but it still appears when I command-tab to switch between my running applications. I'd like to hide it from there too, but I'm not sure how to do that, so I would appreciate any advice Thanks!
