• ASP.NET aspxerrorpath in URL

  I have a site where I use CustomErrors in the web.config to specify a custom error page, and that's working just fine. The custom 404 page is also specified in the IIS configuration (because if it's not, I don't get my custom 404 page). But I have some logic that kicks in if a user gets a 404 that looks at their requested URL and make a navigation suggestion, if appropriate. This logic relies on the aspxerrorpath value. On my development PC, the aspxerrorpath is correctly appended to the URL, like so: http://localhost:3092/FileNotFound.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/badpage.aspx, but on my test site, there's no aspxerrorpath appended to the URL, so all of my custom logic is bypassed and my suggestions don't work. I'm not sure if this is an IIS config issue or something else. The web server is Windows Server 2008 with IIS 7. Any thoughts? Many Thanks.

  Is there a way to get Class object from the type variable in Java generic class? Something like that: public class Bar extends Foo<T> { public Class getParameterClass() { return T.class; // doesn't compile } } This type information is available at compile time and therefore should not be affected by type erasure, so, theoretically, there should be a way to accomplish this. Does it exist?

  Hi there, When it comes to compiling my application, I get the error mentioned in the title. How would I go about remedying this error? Basically, I want to get from one table to the other. • Berkeley DB: btree prefix comparison for directory-like keys?

  I'm going to index a BDB with keys that look a lot like directory paths ('/foo/bar', '/foo/baz', etc, with levels of slashes generally < 10). Does anybody have any experience with using a Btree prefix comparison routine[1] for this? Are the savings worthwhile? Any references to experience papers on this subject?   Users will get to my site using a specific parameter, e.g. : http://www.mysite.com/whatever/?keepTrackOfThisValue=foo or http://www.mysite.com/who/cares/?keepTrackOfThisValue=bar I would like to store the value of this peculiar parameter in Session everytime I found it in the QueryString. I'm currently using the Session_Start event in Global.asax in order to store this but I would like to override the value each time the parameter value change, which is not possible my way. Where would you do this ?

• Is it possible to avoid Focus on SplitContainer?

  The WinForm SplitContainer gets the focus when it's dragged or clicked, while the Splitter does not. The side-effect of this, is that dragging a SplitContainer bar fires Leave/Validate on other controls, and I need to avoid this. I already tried setting TabStop and CausesValidation to False, but with no success. Is there a way to stop the SplitContainer from getting focused? (not a big deal, I can still use the old Splitter, but I lose some nice VS properties...)

  Hello, I have a navigation-based application that has a scrolling UITableView filled with the contents of a directory. Somehow, when I try to scroll a new cell into view, the application crashes. I have determined that it goes down to these lines of code in - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {: NSString *cellText = [contentArray objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]; cell.textLabel.text = cellText; Now why this is crashing, I don't know. contentArray is a NSArray with the table data. If you need a bit more code to tell: - (NSInteger)numberOfSectionsInTableView:(UITableView *)tableView { return 1; } - (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section { return [contentArray count]; } Please help me with this problem, HiGuy

• Convert UTF-16 to UTF-8 under Windows and Linux, in C

  I was wondering if there is a recommended 'cross' Windows and Linux method for the purpose of converting strings from UTF-16LE to UTF-8? or one should use different methods for each environment? I've managed to google few references to 'iconv' , but for somreason I can't find samples of basic conversions, such as - converting a wchar_t UTF-16 to UTF-8. • Running PHP Zend Test in Eclipse

  Is it possible to run PHP Zend test cases (those that extend Zend_Test_PHPUnit_ControllerTestCase, etc.) through Eclipse PDT? I would like to be able to run them in a similar fashion as you run JUnit tests in Eclipse, by right-clicking the test file and selecting "Run as a JUnit test case."   I have an NSTextField that I would like to enable "as-you-type" spell checking. When I load my application I can do this from the Menu Bar Edit Spelling and Grammar Check Spelling While Typing. I would like this option to be enabled by default. Within IB I can enable this for a NSTextView but I would like to use NSTextField for this part of the UI. Thank you.

• jQuery using .animate() fails to do ANYTHING in IE8

  So, it's official: I hate Internet Explorer. Yes, all bloody versions of it. :-D So, I didn't think I was doing anything complicated here, but apparently I am. I have a bunch of list items in an unordered list styled for a navigation menu, and in Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera, things work fine. What is supposed to happen is when you hover a navigational item, it should animate some growth and animate a background color change. Nothing happens in Internet Explorer 7/8. I think it's just tied to the animate function, since if I swap .animate with .css, it works. http://project-cypher.net/wtf/ Ideas?

• How to refresh an activity? Map View refresh fails

  Hi Guys, after implementing some Android Apps, including several Map activities, I try to refresh the activity when the GPS listener's onLocationChanged() mehtod is called. I have no idea how to tell the map activity to refresh on its own and display the new coords... the coords to store will have to be in global values, so that the location listener will have access to it. In my sample GPS-class (see code below) I just changed the text of a text view....but how to do that in map view? private class MyLocationListener implements LocationListener { @Override public void onLocationChanged(Location loc) { final TextView tv = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.myTextView); if (loc != null) { tv.setText("Location changed : Lat: " + loc.getLatitude() + " Lng: " + loc.getLongitude()); } } I think the solution of this Problem won't be very difficult, but I just need the beginning ;-) This whole app shall work like a really simple navigation system. • Dynamically add a new row as Add in UITableView in edit mode?

  I have a table view with 0 or n rows of data from datastore. I added a customized Edit button on the right of the view's navigation bar. By default, when the edit button is clicked, in the action event, I set the view as edit mode: [self.tableView setEditing:YES animated:YES]; I would like to add a row at the end of the table view with Add button as an accessory on the left when the table view is in edit mode. And the "Add" row will not be displayed when the view is not in edit mode. This is very similar to the case of iPhon'e Contacts application when a contact is in edit mode. I am not sure if I need to add a row dynamically, and how if so? An alternative way I guess is to add more row when tableView:numberOfRowsInSection: is called? If later is the case, I have to make it hidden when the view is not in edit mode and visible when the view is in edit.

  using the delcarative_authorization gem for rails, is there a shortcut to allow a role access to all controller actions? privileges do # default privilege hierarchies to facilitate RESTful Rails apps privilege :manage, :includes => [:create, :read, :update, :delete] end isn't sufficient, because I have more controlling methods than just CRUD in my controllers. Something like: role :foo do has_permission_on :bar, :to =>[:all] end would be perfect, but I'm not finding it in the docs.
