• Configure IIS 6 to deny access to specific file based upon IP address

  Hello guys, We are using IIS 6 as our webserver. And we need to deny the access for one specif file, placed in only one specific URL, to everybody OUTSIDE the local network. In other words, if somebody is trying to access that filme/page from their own computer at home, using the internet, they must not succeed. But, if the same person try to do that at the same network of the web server, its ok. I am not sure about that, but Apache uses ORDER DENY,ALLOW. You specify the URL, allow or deny to all or to a range of IP. Any suggestions? Thanks!

• Large number of connected sortable lists causes momentary hang in IE

  I've got around 85 sortable ul's all connected with each other, and initializing the sortable() function works fine in Chrome and Firefox, but in IE it causes a 5-10 second hang while it loops through and connects them all. Yes they /do/ need to all be connected to each other unfortunately. Any suggestions as to how I can stop IE from hanging?

  I have a timestamp column in my database, and i use it for almost every field, but now, i just want to update the hit counter.. and i do not want to update the timestamp column with it. I use the timestamp field to see the last 'content' update. Not for every hit. Is it possible to let mysql stop updating the timestamp column for just one query?

• Powershell script to append an extension to a file, input from CSV

  Hi All, All I need is to have an Excel list of file paths and use Powershell to append (not replace) the same extension on to each file. It should be very simple, right? The problem I'm seeing is that if I go input-csv -path myfile.csv | write-host I get the following output: @{FullName=C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\appendto.me} @{FullName=C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\append_list.csv} @{FullName=C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\leavemealone.txt} In other words it looks like it's outputting the CSV "formatting" as well. However if I just issue import-csv -path myfile.csv, the output is what I expect: FullName -------- C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\appendto.me C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\append_list.csv C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\leavemealone.txt Clearly there's no file called "@{FullName=C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\leavemealone.txt}" and a rename on that won't work, so I'm not sure how to best get this data out of the import-csv command, or whether to store it in an object, or what. • Mapping an sFTP connection to a Windows drive?

  I'm looking for a way to map an sFTP connection to a Windows (Vista) drive. In other words, a tool that would add a new drive (let's say N:) to my computer, that would directly point to my remote server via sFTP. That way, "N:\my_dir\file.txt" would actually be something like "/home/user/my_dir/file.txt" on the remote server. Reading the file on Windows would download it, and writing content in it would upload it...network transfers being made via sFTP. I'm aware of Novell NetDrive, but it has various issues with long filenames, and seems to corrupt UTF-8 files content depending on the BOM. Do you know about any reliable alternative ? Thanks ! Edit : I have complete control of the remote server, except that it's remote enough for me not to be able to physically access it.

The system is web-base and written by ASP.NET We have tried some annoying solution such as JavaScript no right-click or css-no-print but apparently my client didn't like it. so are there any commercial solution to encrypt information in aspx produced html pages? or someone can tell me how to pursuit my client to stop these "prevent stealing" idea in a web-base system?

  Ok, so assume that I have an ingress access list that looks like this: access-list outside_in extended ip permit any X.Y.Z.1 eq 25 access-group outside_in in interface outside And I want to do egress filtering. I want to allow inside machines to respond on port 80, and I want to allow ports over 1024. Given that the firewall is statefull, do I need to have the rule access-list inside_in extended ip permit X.Y.Z.1 any eq 25 in my inside_in ACL, or can I get away with just access-list inside_in extended ip permit any any gt 1024 access-group inside_in in interface inside In other words, if I apply an egress access list, do I have to explicitly allow machines to respond to requests allowed by the ingress access list, or does the statefullness of the firewall handle that for me?   I'm trying to remove the origin ticks from my plot below to stop them overlapping, alternatively just moving them away from each other would also be great I tried this: xticks = ax.xaxis.get_major_ticks() xticks[0].label1.set_visible(False) yticks = ax.yaxis.get_major_ticks() yticks[0].label1.set_visible(False) However this removed the first and last ticks from the y axis like so: Does anyone have an idea about how to do this?   I'm trying to estimate ROI for a new server and how long it will most likely be in service. Are there any average numbers for how long you can expect a server to last that's in 24/7 use? In other words, is it likely to find 10-year old server from 2010 in today's racks? How about servers from 2005? I'd love to get an idea for how long a server will most likely be in use.   Hiya. I installed outlook express 2007 and i configured it for my e-mail account. it seems that i cannot remove the personal folders and i cannot configure the gmail Mail file to be as default. (it's translated from hebrew so i hope i got the menu words correct) when i go to tools - manage accounts - data files i see 2 files, one for personal folders and the other for my gmail. the personal folder is the default one and i can't remove it and i can't set my gmail mail file to be the default. how can i resolve the issue? thanks!

  I played SEGA with my KEGA.exe (Sega Emulator) and it made my right key to be malfunctioned. Befor that day, I had played it, too in my notebook with fullscreen mode, and suddenly my ACER Aspire One notebook restarted during that emulator was running and before the screen was black (boot), my screen was blue with many words but I couldn't read them, but I remember that there was a word like 000000 x 0000000 x 000000 and bla bla bla. And when I played without fullscreen mode, It didn't happened but it made my right key to be malfunctioned until when I went to Bot setup, my right key doesn't work. Do U know what is the problem of my emulator? Can U explain me for that?
