  Hi there just wondering; How do i deny direct access to files in a specific folder. I have an upload script that uploads to /uploadedFiles and currently i just have an index.php which redirects the user to the login page however how do i stop users from accessing a file directly such as; www.myurl.com/uploadedFiles/thisFile.jpeg Thanks in advance :)

• Large number of connected sortable lists causes momentary hang in IE

  I've got around 85 sortable ul's all connected with each other, and initializing the sortable() function works fine in Chrome and Firefox, but in IE it causes a 5-10 second hang while it loops through and connects them all. Yes they /do/ need to all be connected to each other unfortunately. Any suggestions as to how I can stop IE from hanging?

• Mapping an sFTP connection to a Windows drive?

  I'm looking for a way to map an sFTP connection to a Windows (Vista) drive. In other words, a tool that would add a new drive (let's say N:) to my computer, that would directly point to my remote server via sFTP. That way, "N:\my_dir\file.txt" would actually be something like "/home/user/my_dir/file.txt" on the remote server. Reading the file on Windows would download it, and writing content in it would upload it...network transfers being made via sFTP. I'm aware of Novell NetDrive, but it has various issues with long filenames, and seems to corrupt UTF-8 files content depending on the BOM. Do you know about any reliable alternative ? Thanks ! Edit : I have complete control of the remote server, except that it's remote enough for me not to be able to physically access it.

  I'm trying to remove the origin ticks from my plot below to stop them overlapping, alternatively just moving them away from each other would also be great I tried this: xticks = ax.xaxis.get_major_ticks() xticks[0].label1.set_visible(False) yticks = ax.yaxis.get_major_ticks() yticks[0].label1.set_visible(False) However this removed the first and last ticks from the y axis like so: Does anyone have an idea about how to do this?   I'm trying to estimate ROI for a new server and how long it will most likely be in service. Are there any average numbers for how long you can expect a server to last that's in 24/7 use? In other words, is it likely to find 10-year old server from 2010 in today's racks? How about servers from 2005? I'd love to get an idea for how long a server will most likely be in use. By the way, this is meant irrespective of growing or changing application needs. I'm talking only about the hardware.

  Ok, so assume that I have an ingress access list that looks like this: access-list outside_in extended ip permit any X.Y.Z.1 eq 25 access-group outside_in in interface outside And I want to do egress filtering. I want to allow inside machines to respond on port 80, and I want to allow ports over 1024. Given that the firewall is statefull, do I need to have the rule access-list inside_in extended ip permit X.Y.Z.1 any eq 25 in my inside_in ACL, or can I get away with just access-list inside_in extended ip permit any any gt 1024 access-group inside_in in interface inside In other words, if I apply an egress access list, do I have to explicitly allow machines to respond to requests allowed by the ingress access list, or does the statefullness of the firewall handle that for me?   I played SEGA with my KEGA.exe (Sega Emulator) and it made my right key to be malfunctioned. Befor that day, I had played it, too in my notebook with fullscreen mode, and suddenly my ACER Aspire One notebook restarted during that emulator was running and before the screen was black (boot), my screen was blue with many words but I couldn't read them, but I remember that there was a word like 000000 x 0000000 x 000000 and bla bla bla. And when I played without fullscreen mode, It didn't happened but it made my right key to be malfunctioned until when I went to Bot setup, my right key doesn't work. Do U know what is the problem of my emulator? Can U explain me for that?

  If you're looking for MSN and / or Windows, just go here. I'm looking for Real-Time chat translation tools for Mac, and preferably using Adium, but it could be for Skype, iChat or maybe another option if it's really good. So far I could only easily find a plugin for Adium, simply called translator, that uses google, dicts and babelfish, but you have to type commands in and paste the words or sentences, and it's currently not even working on Snow Leopard. Even if it did, it's still not quite as automatic as we'd expect (or see in other platforms as indicated). So I'm just citing it as an example of a bad solution.
