  • Why this function overloading is not working?

    - by Jack
    class CConfFile { public: CConfFile(const std::string &FileName); ~CConfFile(); ... std::string GetString(const std::string &Section, const std::string &Key); void GetString(const std::string &Section, const std::string &Key, char *Buffer, unsigned int BufferSize); ... } string CConfFile::GetString(const string &Section, const string &Key) { return GetKeyValue(Section, Key); } void GetString(const string &Section, const string &Key, char *Buffer, unsigned int BufferSize) { string Str = GetString(Section, Key); // *** ERROR *** strncpy(Buffer, Str.c_str(), Str.size()); } Why do I get an error too few arguments to function ‘void GetString(const std::string&, const std::string&, char*, unsigned int)' at the second function ? Thanks

  • Redirection Still not working (updated on earlier question)

    - by NoviceCoding
    So earlier I asked this question: JQuery Login Redirect. Code Included The php file is sending the following: $return['error'] = false; $return['msg'] = 'You have successfully logged in!!'; I've tried all the suggestions, quoting the error on php and ajax end, 2 equals instead of 3, I've also tried DNE true which should be the same as an else statement: $(document).ready(function(){ $('#submit').click(function() { $('#waiting').show(500); $('#empty').show(500); $('#reg').hide(0); $('#message').hide(0); $.ajax({ type : 'POST', url : 'logina.php', dataType : 'json', data: { type : $('#typeof').val(), login : $('#login').val(), pass : $('#pass').val(), }, success : function(data){ $('#waiting').hide(500); $('#empty').show(500); $('#message').removeClass().addClass((data.error === true) ? 'error' : 'success') .text(data.msg).show(500) if(data.error != true) window.location.replace("http://blahblah.com/usercp.php"); if (data.error === true) $('#reg').show(500); $('#empty').hide() }, error : function(XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { $('#waiting').hide(500); $('#message').removeClass().addClass('error') .text("There was an Error. Please try again.").show(500); $('#reg').show(500); $('#empty').hide(); Recaptcha.reload(); } }); return false; }); And it still wont work. Any ideas on how to make a redirection work if login is successful and error returns false? Also while I am asking, can I put a .delay(3000) 3s at the end of window.location.replace("http://blahblah.com/usercp.php")?

  • Python - How is this snippet working?

    - by orokusaki
    For some reason this function confused me: def protocol(port): return port == "443" and "https://" or "http://" Can somebody explain the order of what's happening behind the scenes to make this work the way it does. I understood it as this until I tried it: Either A) def protocol(port): if port == "443": if bool("https://"): return True elif bool("http://"): return True return False Or B) def protocol(port): if port == "443": return True + "https://" else: return True + "http://" Is this some sort of special case in Python, or am I completely misunderstanding how statements work?

  • directory_map() not working outside of application

    - by iamdadude
    Is there a reason as to why $map = directory_map('./', TRUE); works perfectly and, $map = directory_map('../', TRUE); doesn’t work at all? I tried creating a directory with the basic mkdir(); PHP function (http://php.net/mkdir) and it didn’t work either. Can anyone set me in the right direction as to what I’m doing wrong and how I can fix it? Thanks!

  • afterTransactionCompletion not working

    - by Attilah
    I created an hibernate interceptor : public class MyInterceptor extends EmptyInterceptor { private boolean isCanal=false; public boolean onSave(Object entity, Serializable arg1, Object[] arg2, String[] arg3, Type[] arg4) throws CallbackException { for(int i=0;i<100;i++){ System.out.println("Inside MyInterceptor(onSave) : "+entity.toString()); } if(entity instanceof Canal){ isCanal=true; } return false; } public void afterTransactionCompletion(Transaction tx){ if(tx.wasCommitted()&&(isCanal)){ for(int i=0;i<100;i++){ System.out.println("Inside MyInterceptor(afterTransactionCompletion) : Canal was saved to DB."); } } } but the method afterTransactionCompletion doesn't get executed after a transaction is commited. I've tried all the ways I know of but I can't make it work. What's more surprising is that the onSave method works fine. Help ! Could this be due to this bug ? : http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HHH-1956 How can I circumvent this bug if it's the cause ?

  • jQuery .height() property not working

    - by Andrew
    I'm attempting to get the height of an element using jQuery, but am receiving some unexpected results. Here's the code: $(function() { var contentheight = $('#subpage-content-small').height; alert(contentheight); }); Where #subpage-content-small has these CSS properties: #subpage-content-small { width: 400px; float: left; margin: 30px 10px 0 0; padding-bottom: 45px; } What I'm getting as an output for my alert is the following: function (f) { var e = this[0]; if (!e) { return f == null ? null : this; } if (c.isFunction(f)) { return this.each(function (j) {var i = c(this);i[d](f.call(this, j, i[d]()));}); } return "scrollTo" in e && e.document ? e.document.compatMode === "CSS1Compat" && e.document.documentElement["client" + b] || e.document.body["client" + b] : e.nodeType === 9 ? Math.max(e.documentElement["client" + b], e.body["scroll" + b], e.documentElement["scroll" + b], e.body["offset" + b], e.documentElement["offset" + b]) : f === w ? c.css(e, d) : this.css(d, typeof f === "string" ? f : f + "px"); } Any idea why I'm getting this as opposed to an integer of the height? Thanks in advance!

  • Objective-c: Comparing two strings not working correctly.

    - by Mr. McPepperNuts
    - (NSString *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView titleForHeaderInSection:(NSInteger)section { id <NSFetchedResultsSectionInfo> sectionInfo = [[self.fetchedResultsController sections] objectAtIndex:section]; if(tempArray != nil){ for (int i = 0; i < [tempArray count]; i++) { if([[sectionInfo indexTitle] isEqualToString:[tempArray objectAtIndex:i]]) // if([sectionInfo indexTitle] == [tempArray objectAtIndex:i]) { NSLog(@"found"); break; } else { NSLog(@"Not found %@", [sectionInfo indexTitle]); [tempArray addObject:[sectionInfo indexTitle]]; NSLog(@"array %@", tempArray); return [tempArray objectAtIndex:i]; } } } } The comparison of the strings in the if statement never resolves to true. The sample data has two instances of duplicates for testing purposes. The commented line is an alternate, although I believe incorrect, attempt to compare the section with the string in the tempArray. What am I doing incorrectly? Also, all data is in capital letters, so the comparison is not a matter of lower to upper case.

  • Image Replacement (JS/JQuery) working in IE but not FF

    - by Sunburnt Ginger
    I have tried multiple solutions for replacing broken images (both JS & jQuery) and all work perfectly with IE but not in FF, is there a reason for this? Are images handled differently in FF that may cause this? JQuery Example: $("img").error(function(){ $(this).unbind("error").attr("src", "nopic.jpg"); }); Javascript Example: (triggered by onError event in img tag) function noimage(img){ img.onerror=""; img.src="nopic.jpg"; return true; } Both of these examples work perfectly in IE but not at all in FF. What gives? Thanks in advance!

  • simplemodal click events stopped working in IE7

    - by prettynerd
    Here's my code: $('#alertInfo').modal({ close :false, overlayId :'confirmModalOverlay', containerId :'confirmModalContainer', onShow : function(dialog) { dialog.data.find('.message').append(message); dialog.data.find('.yes').click(function(){ if ($.isFunction(callback)) callback.apply(); $.modal.close(); }); dialog.data.find('.close').click(function(){ $.modal.close(); }); } }); Basically, this is a dialogue box which I call to show a warning message that has a "X" button (with class 'close') and an "OK" button (with class 'yes'). The problem occurs in IE7. When I call this dialogue box and use my "X" button to close it everytime, my "X" button does not work anymore on the third time I call it (YES ON THE THIRD TIME!). However, if I use my "OK" button to close the dialogue box, it works fine no matter how many times I call it. I thought I found a workaround by unbinding and binding my click event of the '.close' class, as below: dialog.data.find('.close').unbind('click'); dialog.data.find('.close').bind('click',function(){$.modal.close();}); and it worked!!! unfortunately, however, the problem now occurs in my "OK" button. so, i did the same unbinding and binding the click event of the '.yes' class, as below: dialog.data.find('.yes').unbind('click'); dialog.data.find('.yes').bind('click', function() { if ($.isFunction(callback)) callback.apply(); $.modal.close(); }); BUT NOPE, IT DOES NOT WORK.. please help me.. @ericmmartin, i hope you're online now.. huhu..

How do I get the detailview to load properly and do I need to implement this method is all view controllers or just the root one?

  • Working with version control on a Drupal/CMS project

    - by Jens Ljungblad
    I was wondering how teams that develop sites using Drupal (or any other CMS) integrate version control, subversion, git or similar, into their workflow. You'd obviously want your custom code and theme files under version control but when you use a CMS such as Drupal a lot of the work consists of configuring modules and settings all of which is stored in the database. So when you are a team of developers, how do you collaborate on a project like this? Dumping the database into a file and putting that file under version control might work I guess, but when the site is live the client is constantly adding content which makes syncing a bit problematic. I'd love to know how others are doing this.

  • JQuery remove() not working with a two word id

    - by Programer
    I have a button <button onclick="takedown()"> take down </button> that creates a H1 and button with the id of the text in my text field and h1 at the end for the h1 and button at the end for the button the button has a onclick onclick="delete()". This is that function function takedown(){ note = document.getElementById("noteinput").value; idh1 = note + "h1"; idbutton = note + "button"; idcenter = note + "center"; $('<center id="' + idcenter + '"> <h1 id="' + idh1 + '">' + note + '</h1> <button id="'+ idbutton +'" onclick="deletenote()"> Delete </button> </center>').appendTo("body"); } For the delete function the remove() works only if the id of the button and the h1 is one word. function deletenote(){ // First setting var idbuttondelete = event.target.id; var idh1delete = idbuttondelete.replace("button", "h1"); // Removing the button, h1,center $('#' + idbuttondelete).remove(); $('#' + idh1delete).remove(); } Does anybody know whats wrong or how to use JQuery to delete something if it has a two word id.

  • named anchors not working in safari

    - by David
    Hi there, can anyone explain why named anchor tags would not work in safari but work fine in other browsers: ie, ff, opera, chrome. I have some links to different areas of the same page and nothing happens when clicking on them in safari only. All the other browsers mentioned take me to that area of the page. I have tried using both the id and the name attribute for the anchors but neither makes any difference.

  • Mysql Query - Order By Not Working

    - by jwzk
    I'm running Mysql 5.0.77 and I'm pretty sure this query should work? SELECT * FROM purchases WHERE time_purchased BETWEEN '2010-04-15 00:00:00' AND '2010-04-18 23:59:59' ORDER BY time_purchased ASC, order_total DESC time_purchased is DATETIME, and an index. order_total is DECIMAL(10,2), and not an index. I want to order all purchases by the date (least to greatest), and then by the order total (greatest to least). So I would output similar to: 2010-04-15 $100 2010-04-15 $80 2010-04-15 $20 2010-04-16 $170 2010-04-16 $45 2010-04-16 $15 2010-04-17 $274 .. and so on. The output I am getting from that query has the dates in order correctly, but it doesn't appear to sort the order total column at all. Thoughts? Thanks.
