• breakpoints not working properly on device with iOS 4.2.1 on Xcode 4.2

  That seems odd to me, but apparently, Xcode 4.2 doesn't recognice breackpoints properly on my iPod Touch 2G running iOS 4.2.1, while it does on my other Ipod Touch 4G running iOS 6.0 Both devices are enabled for development, and their debug symbols information are retrieved from both devices and copied into ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/iOS DeviceSupport/... The only thing that seems suspect to me is that 4.2.1 is missing on /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/... I have 4.2 and 4.3 but nothing in between any help is appreciated

• Tallying records using annotate() not working as should.

  I have two classes: Vehicle and Issues....a Vehicle object can have several issues recorded in the Issues class. What I want to do is to have a list of all issues, with each vehicle appearing only once and the total number of issues shown, plus other details....clicking on the record will then take the user to another page with all those issues for a selected vehicle shown in detail now. • named anchors not working in safari

  Hi there, can anyone explain why named anchor tags would not work in safari but work fine in other browsers: ie, ff, opera, chrome. I have some links to different areas of the same page and nothing happens when clicking on them in safari only. All the other browsers mentioned take me to that area of the page. I have tried using both the id and the name attribute for the anchors but neither makes any difference.

• Image Replacement (JS/JQuery) working in IE but not FF

  I have tried multiple solutions for replacing broken images (both JS & jQuery) and all work perfectly with IE but not in FF, is there a reason for this? Are images handled differently in FF that may cause this?   For some reason this function confused me: def protocol(port): return port == "443" and "https://" or "http://" Can somebody explain the order of what's happening behind the scenes to make this work the way it does. I understood it as this until I tried it: Either A) def protocol(port): if port == "443": if bool("https://"): return True elif bool("http://"): return True return False Or B) def protocol(port): if port == "443": return True + "https://" else: return True + "http://" Is this some sort of special case in Python, or am I completely misunderstanding how statements work?

• looping thru a list of checkboxes and saving the values, now working properly

  Hello all, I'm having a bit of a problem with this code. The program gives me a list of checkboxes but a user ID. then u user can change his selection and push the save button (id="btnSaveUserIntersts") and i am trying to save in the hidden textbox all the values of the checkboxes that was choosen. The problem is that i am getting all the time the same selections that came form the database and not getting the new selection that the user made. • Working with Foreign languages

  My DB needs to hold strings containing foreign language characters such that; User enters string into form, form submitted and string added to DB, string will be displayed on page for viewing. I would like to use UTF8 as this will be able to handle all of the required languages. Currently I believe my DB is set to 'latin1' but webpages are capable of displaying correct charachters anyways. Problems arise when trying to set textareas to hold foreign charachters and when viewing DB via command-line. How can I implement this most effectively? My plan was to blitz the whole site such that:DB Charset is UTF8 and web pages charset is UTF8. Could someone give me the minimal commands on how to do this so I don't end up duplicating things (Having "UTF8" commands everywhere when I really just need one) and making things too difficult to control. • Working with version control on a Drupal/CMS project

  I was wondering how teams that develop sites using Drupal (or any other CMS) integrate version control, subversion, git or similar, into their workflow. You'd obviously want your custom code and theme files under version control but when you use a CMS such as Drupal a lot of the work consists of configuring modules and settings all of which is stored in the database. So when you are a team of developers, how do you collaborate on a project like this? Dumping the database into a file and putting that file under version control might work I guess, but when the site is live the client is constantly adding content which makes syncing a bit problematic. I'd love to know how others are doing this.

  I have deployed my rails app to a live server(linux) and I have successfully installed the the mongrel gems, and I can successfully start the server for my app but when i try to acceess the website on the server i get the error The server at 196.xx.xxx.xx is taking too long to respond. Is there anything i need to do to be able to access my app on the browser? Incorrect file. Reupload it and try again'; When I run this script, it doesn't even output an error. It just stops. It loads for a bit, and then it just stops. Further down the script I implement it again, and it fails here, too: while($row=mysql_fetch_array($execquery, MYSQL_ASSOC)){ $hash = @md5_file($row['url']); $url = $row['url']; mysql_query("UPDATE urls SET hash='" . $hash . • strtotime not working with TIME?

  My mysql column has this datetime value, 2011-04-11 11:00:00 when I am applying strtotime then its returning date less than today,whereas it should be greater than today. also when I am trying this strtotime(date('d/m/Y h:i A')); code, its returning wrong values. Is there any problem with giving TIME in strtotime? Basically I want to do, is to compare my mysql column date with today's date, if its in future then show "Upcoming" else show nothing? Please help and advise, what should I do?   I dynamically load in a few li's that have a label and a checkbox in them to another visible ul. I set the checkboxes to be checked="checked" and i am trying to trigger an event to happen when i change these dynamically inserted checkboxes but nothing occurs. • Rails- MiniMagick commands not working

  I'm running windows xp and I've got MiniMagick and ImageMagick installed (latest versions). I'm now using the console to test out that everything works. Using the ms command prompt image magick works no problem. I'm testing this by using the identify command. Now, when I try to use MiniMagick from the console by entering image = MiniMagick::Image.new('image.jpg') It returns MiniMagickError, "ImageMagick command ("identify \"input.jpg\"") failed: {:status_code = #"'identify' is not recognized as an internal or external command,\noperable program or batch file.\n"} Can anybody help?

• Cookies not working for password-protected Pages on WordPress

  Initially I had the issue reported in this question. Now, what I noticed is that there are some browsers that accept the password, and there are some which don't. Difference? For some reason the cookie is generated when I log in into the Administration module, but it isn't when I write down the password to access the page, forcing it to simply reload. I can see the cookie created for the log-in, but I can see none for the password-protected Page. These happens on Internet Explorer, both version 7 and 8; only on some machines, though, but most of them fail this. I already tried white-listing the URL, and even letting it accept ALL cookies, to no avail. What may be the cause? If perhaps it's got something to do with question above, please help me! Thanks in advance. PS: If you know of another, cookie-free method to make a simple authentication, please link me to it. Thanks. Oh, and by the way, this is inside an Intranet with static, class C IPs.
