  Hi there, I have a Classic ASP shopping cart, but I need to add in an option to enter a promo code and (if valid) apply a discount to the total. There is a promo codes table that stores the promotional codes and the value of the discount to apply. So I was wondering if someone might be able to help me integrate this? Happy to pay for the time. I think it may only take an hour or so at most. :S

  Hello All! Could someone please explain what the difference is between using the ISupportInitialize interface methods (BeginInit/EndInit) and using SuspendLayout/ResumeLayout? Is ISupportInitialize ONLY used during construction/"initial" initialization... or can it be used later when you want to add new child controls to an existing parent control? • How are updates to the .net framework handled in azure?

  If someone is hosting something in Azure and a new KB comes along and requires the .net framework to be updated, how is this handled in Azure? Do they automatically update it for you or give you the option to remain at the older version? I'm more interested in how the versioning is handled, rather than uptime etc. Do they force you to stay at the most up to date version of a given version number? As in, the most up to date version of 3.5, etc.

The think() method is called every 100ms, and i have a few breakpoints set however the first one that gets stopped at isn't the first that should.. It seems to miss stopping on the others.   I was looking through the docs and stumbled onto mysql_real_escape_string() and I'm not understanding why it's useful when you can just addslashes(). Can someone show me a scenario as to why it's useful? I'm also curious why it requires a database connection.... that seems like a lot of overhead.

• Network error during uninstallation

  Hi, We are using WiX to create a setup. The installation works fine, but during uninstallation an error says that the [FileName].msi is missing in C:\Windows\Installer and the setup starts rolling back. It is not reproduced in all the machines. It happens only in few machines. Could someone please give a solution to this ? What may be the reason that this happens only in 5 machines out of some 100 machines ? Thanks and Regards, Varun

  Hello, I've been staring at the Memory Monitor in Instruments and I am scratching my had. Why is it displaying virtual memory? iPhone OS has no virtual memory. What does it mean? My concern is that I am getting memory warnings for my iPad app but the apps real memory never exceeds 70MB and the virtual memory never exceeds 180MB? Could someone please enlighten me? • Postsharp installer bug: .Net 2.0 not presented

  There is an issue with PostSharp 1.5 and 2.0 that won't let you install it on the Windows 7 machine with the error message ".NET Framework 2.0 is not present on this computer". To work around the issue you have to run the installer while being logged in with Administrator account. Not Admin group and not "run as Administrator", you have to be logged in with the Administrator account. Hope that helps, if someone has the same issue.
