    I'm creating a web service with create/update/delete calls. But for now I'd like to restrict use of it on my own web app and no other clients. How can I have clear text javascript code that makes these calls but still be confident the credentials won't be used elsewhere? My idea is to use server side generated nonces for each request.     I have been wondering why when I set the encoding to UTF-8 and rendering the XML it replace the extended characters by escape characters (or character reference) like &#x2019; instead of '? I'm using the Render method render(contentType:"text/xml", encoding:"UTF-8") {...} with a proper header render(contentType:"text/xml", encoding:"UTF-8", text:"<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>\n") Any idea if there is a way to write it properly?     I have an UIImage that I want to edit (say, make every second row of pixels black). Now I am aware of the functions that extract PNG or JPEG data from the image, but that's raw data and I have no idea how the png/jpeg files work. Is there a way I can extract the colour data from each pixel into an array? And then make a new UIImage using the data from the array?

I am using said table as a dimension for my cube, so now the cube won't process. Presumably I need to make updates in the analysis server to reflect changes to the source database?   • Call into a website and use php to recognize caller ID

    I have this idea where I want to allow someone to call a phone number from their cell phone, and then a website would display their caller ID. I want to do this in php, but I'm really not sure how. I'm pretty good with PHP and I'm assuming you need some kind of GSM modem attached to the web server to accept the incoming phone calls, but that's really as far as I can get. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks!

    I had to do a division in shell script and the best way was: result1=`echo "scale=3; ($var1 / $total) * 100"| bc -l` result2=`echo "scale=3; ($var2 / $total) * 100"| bc -l` but I want to compare the values of $result1 and $result2 Using if test $result1 -lt $result2 or if [ $result1 -gt $result2 ] didn't work :( Any idea how to do that?
