  • How do I change the root directory of an apache server?

    Does anyone know how to change the document root of the Apache server? I basically want localhost to come from /users/spencer/projects directory instead of /var/www. Edit I ended up figuring it out. Some suggested I change the httpd.conf file, but I ended up finding a file in /etc/apache2/sites-available/default and changed the root directory from /var/www to /home/myusername/projects_folder and that worked.

  • Static code analysis tools for VB6

    Right now we are maintaining some old project written in VB6 we are planning to implement continues integration sefver for it. We would like to implement some code analysis as well to track that maintanability at least not getting worse. Basically there is only one requirement - the tool should be command line so we can call it from constinues integration server and it should work with VB6 projects.     Are there any best-practices that state custom code shouldn't be placed in a System namespace? Should System and its children be reserved for Microsoft code? I ask because I'm writing a class library that will be used across many projects and I'd like to keep things consistent by placing it in System.InteropServices (since it deals with P/Invoke).

  • Help with jQuery 'zoom' script

    Hi All I'm using this script on my site - http://www.suuronen.org/esa-matti/projects/panfullsize/ Got it all working fine, only problem is that it always defaults to the zoomed image when you load a page. I'd rather it showed the scaled down image first, and then zoomed when requested. Anyone know how I can fix it? Cheers Sam

My problem is that both models have a property called "Email" and the model binding is not able to make a distinction between the too.   • SVN Repository folders don't match my solution folder structure in Visual Studio or folder structure

    I have a .NET solution which was badly organised, so I moved some projects around to appropriate folders. In the solution, I simply fixed the paths to the new locations, and everything is working in my working copy. I used AnkhSVN to commit the solution to the repository, which worked out fine as well. However, when I look in the repo explorer, the folders inside are organised in the old way. What do I need to do?

    hi i am new to valgrind. I know how to run valgrind on executable files from command line. But how do you run valgrind on server processes like apache/myqld/traffic server etc .. I want to run valgrind on traffic server (http://incubator.apache.org/projects/trafficserver.html) to detect some memory leaks taking place in the plugin I have written.   • Eclipse/Java code completion not working

    I've downloaded, unzipped and setup Eclipse 3.4.2 with some plugins (noteable, EPIC, Clearcase, QuantumDB, MisterQ). Now I find when I'm editing Java projects the code completion is not working. If I type String. and press ctrl-space a popup shows "No Default Proposals" and the status bar at the bottom shows "No completions available". Any ideas? Thanks....

    I'm writing an app using sms as communication. I have chosen to subscribe to an sms-gateway, which provides me with an API for doing so. The API has functions for sending as well as pulling new messages. It does however not have any kind of push functionality. In order to do my queries most efficient, I'm seeking data on how long time people wait before they answer a text message - as a probability function. Extra info: The application is interactive (as can be), so I suppose the times will be pretty similar to real life human-human communication. I don't believe differences in personal style will play a big impact on the right times and frequencies to query, so average data should be fine.

    When I run KitchenSink example project on iPhone emulator everything is OK, but trying to launch for Android emulator produces errors: [ERROR] /Users/lukasz/Android/android-sdk-mac_x86/tools/apkbuilder [ERROR] Failed installing com.appcelerator.kitchensink: pkg: /data/local/tmp/app.apk It happens whatever Androig API I choose (from 1.5 to 2.2 or from APIs 1.5 to APIs 2.2). I am using Titanium Developer 1.2.1, titanium SDK 1.4.1.11 Where is the problem? As far as I can see Android SDKs and platforms work correctly because I can successfully compile Android projects from diffrent IDE (Netbeans).

    I was wondering if there was a way I could program and compile .net applications (c#, asp.net mvc) from a usb stick on any laptop I plugged in. I am lookinjg for a solution that does not have me installing programs on the laptop, so I have to be able to run an ide or editor from an exe and compile presumably from command line. Was also wondering if I can run MS test projects from command line to check tests passed etc. Thanks
