  • Best options for image resizing

    Hi, I have resize images exceeding a max size. Methods I tried so far are not good enough :-( System.Drawing.Image.GetThumbnailImage generates very poor quality images in general. Playing with options like this one I can generate better images in quality but heavier than the original one. Probably the second option (or something similar) is the best option and I would need to resize using the proper options. Any advice?

But as far as I know "category" is deprecated and "logger" should be used instead. Why JBoss uses deprecated "category" tag in a new product?

    How can I verify the certificates of a site like https://processing.ukash.com/ in ruby with net/http? https = Net::HTTP.new('processing.ukash.com', 443) https.use_ssl = true https.verify_mode = OpenSSL::SSL::VERIFY_NONE Works so far, but how do I verify that it's the right cert now? I saved the certificate from within firefox, but the resulting .pem file has many certificates in it and net/http doesn't seem to like it.

I have got as far as : git log -- filename which shows me the commit history of the file, but how do I get at the content of each of the changes ?     Hi I am trying to make a simple search form that uses a startTime and endTime to specify a time range. The db has a datetime field time that is compared against. So far when i try to use params[:startTime] in the controller I get an array of values which wont work with :conditions = ['time < ?', params[:endTime]] Is there a simple solution to parse the form's datetime to SQL datetime?

    Hi all , Im trying to read in image file from a server , with the code below . It keeps going into the exception. I know the correct number of bytes are being sent as I print them out when received. As far as I can tell its definitely sending too as the send all method in python sends all or throws an exception in the event of an error and so far it has never thrown an exception. So the client side is messed up . I have to send the file from the server so I cant use the suggestion suggested by Brian .

  • Line for signature in markdown

    I'm writing a document using markdown, which I'm exporting to a PDF using pandoc. At the end of the document I need to have space for signatures on a printed copy of the PDF. I've tried to find how to draw a line with a fixed width, but so far I only got to escaping the underscore character, which doesn't feel quite right. It's as if I'm missing something, this couldn't possibly be that unusual to want to do. Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated.

    I am trying to authenticate the user after I got credentials using oAuth (with Twitter if that makes a difference). As far as I could understand it, I can directly put the Authentication object into SecurityContextHolder. Here is how I do it: Authentication auth = new TwitterOAuthAuthentication(member, userDetailsService.loadUserByUsername(member.getUsername()).getAuthorities()); SecurityContextHolder.getContext().setAuthentication(auth); This for some reason does absolutely nothing.
