  • How can I add a class to my flash cs4?

    - by WarrenFaith
I am about to create a simple demo in flash where I have 3 layers, 3 keyframes. Currently I am just use some simple gotoAndStop() to move to the next keyframe. But now I need a custom event to do that but I can't create a class inside the action of a keyframe so I am not able to create a custom event. I just have AS3 developing experience in flex so far. • Force Word Normal View

    - by Jared
I am creating an HTML document which we are then pushing out to MS Word using a "application/msword" content type. This works so far except that the files open in Word with Web View. Once Normal View is selected all works fine. Is there any way to force Word to open with Normal View instead of Web View?

  • Using a regex pattern to find revision numbers from a svn merge

    - by zyzy
svn diff -rXX:HEAD Will give me a format like this, if there has been a merge between those revisions: Merged /<branch>:rXXX,XXX-XXX or Merged /<branch>:rXXX I'm not very familiar with regex and am trying to put together a pattern which will match all the numbers (merged revision numbers) AFTER matching the "Merged /branch:r" part. So far I have this to match the first part: [Mm]erged.*[a-zA-Z]:r Thanks in adv. for the help :)

  • Why doesn't web browsers have built in validators?

    - by August Karlstrom
As far as I know there is no web browser with built in validators for HTML, CSS and Javascript. Developing web pages without validation is like using a compiler that doesn't do syntax analysis. Even Firefox with its excellent plugins aimed at developers like Firebug lacks plugins for CSS and Javascript validation. Wouldn't it be useful to have these plugins? Am I missing something?

  • Registration with profile picture using services in Drupal

    - by Fran Ruano
I've been trying to upload a user profile picture during the user registration using Service 3 and so far I haven't had any luck. I tested passing a hard coded fid in the field "picture" and also tried to pass the fields "filemime", "filename", etc. and it didn't work neither. Any idea about what fields I need to populate? I guess it must be related to this post Using Drupal Services and DIOS SDK for setting user picture in iOS app but it doesn't have and answer neither.

  • FrontRow tutorial for Xcode

  • Why won't my images align properly?

I'm trying to make a dynamically sizable title banner, using fairly simple image tricks. I place the banner image in a table cell, and set the background-image of the table row to a one-pixel-wide repeat of the banner's right-most pixel column. Thus, the banner image appears to stretch to fit the screen width without stretching the logo. The code below is my entire page so far, and the problem is shown in a red circle in the screenshot. This is the transition where the main image ends and the one-pixel-wide background image begins. It appears that the one-pixel-wide bar at the end is compressed by one pixel - making the tops align properly, while the bottoms are one pixel off. I should add that I have checked the images more than once to make cure they the image data is correct. They are %100 accurate as far as MSPaint is concerned. <%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="_Default" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head runat="server"> <title></title> </head> <body bgcolor="#000000"> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div> <table style="width:100%; "> <tr style="background-image: url('Images/Banners/WebBannerWideBar.png')"> <!--WebBannerWideBar is 1x100 px--> <td> <img alt="Angry Octopus" src="Images/Banners/WebBannerWide.png" /> <!--WebBannerWide is 760x100 px--> </td> </tr> </table> </div> </form> </body> </html>

  • How to do method chaining in Java? o.m1().m2().m3().m4()

    - by Pentium10
Maybe the title might be better, if someone knows a better one, please edit. I've seen in many Java code notation that after a method we call another, here is an example. Toast.makeText(text).setGravity(Gravity.TOP, 0, 0).setView(layout).show(); As you see after calling makeText on the return we call setGravity and so far. How can I do this with my own classes? Do I have to do anything special?

  • Is it possible to create a Mono bundle that includes WPF libraries?

    - by Thiado de Arruda
I know WPF libraries aren´t implemented by mono class library, however(as far as I know) the mono 2.6 runtime is fully compatible with the .NET 2.0/3.5 runtime, so if the WPF libraries only make PInvoke calls to windows api it is theoretically possible to run a wpf application on windows using the mono runtime. The reason for wanting that is deploying a wpf application as a standalone executable for windows. Has anyone tried something like that before? If so, what were the results?

  • Large or small company?

    - by James
Hi, I would like to hear some opinions regarding working in small companies versus large corporations. So far, my personal experience has been that esp. for junior programmers small companies have given a more solid background, as follow-up is with experienced workers. In larger corporations on the other hand, the experienced have already worked they way way out of reach. Is this a general feeling or just my bad experience?

  • Is a clear and replace more efficient than a loop checking all records?

    - by Matt
I have a C# List, that is filled from a database.. So far its only 1400 records, but I expect it to grow a LOT.. Routinely I do a check for new data on the entire list.. What I'm trying to figure out is this, is it faster to simply clear the List and reload all the data from the table, or would checking each record be faster.. Intuition tells me that the dump and load method would be faster, but I thought I should check first...

  • How To Read C# API From Java Background

    - by ChloeRadshaw
I come from a Java background and have been using C# for the last year - So far the API docs I use are at MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms132397.aspx). I tend to use the lightweight C# docs. What annoys me about that is that I don't see one page with details of the class, a list of members, a list of methods and properties like I would with a Java API definition. Is this possible?

  • How to call Java method from C++

    - by fhucho
Hi, I am using JNI to call my C++ function from Java. One of the C++ function's arguments is jobject thiz (as far as I know, all JNI native functions have this argument). The function takes quite long to complete and I want to report progress back to the jobject thiz Java object, so that I can show the progress to the user. How can I call jobject's methods from C++?

Wish there was a collectWithIndex ... Any suggestions?

  • Dynamically assembling SQL queries in Java

    - by kd
What is the best way to assemble an SQL query with join conditions dynamically? I don't want to hard code the query for each different condition on a webpage or a set of webpages. Is it even feasible? I got as far as being able to assemble simple queries but i got stumped when i needed to insert join conditions, i.e. how to figure out dependencies for joins etc.

  • jquery document height reported incorrectly by IE (on XP) first time

    - by Zhami
I'm having a "first time" problem with IE, which reports a different value for $(document).height(); when the page first loads versus subsequent queries. The difference is 17 pixels regardless of the opening size of the window -- on document ready, the height reported is 17 pixels larger than is subsequently reported. I wonder if this is an artifact of some aspect of my page (some margins or paddings somewhere), but so far can't account for 17 pixels.
