  • getView only shows Flagged Backgrounds for drawn Views, It does not show Flagged Background when scroll to view more items on list

    I am trying to create a listview that receives a flagged list of items to indicate a status to the user. I have been able to create the flag display by using a yellow background (see image at bottom). In Theory, the flagged list can have many flagged items in it. However in my app, only the first three flagged backgrounds are shown. I believe this is because they are initially drawn to the screen. The Flagged background that are not drawn initially to the screen do not show. I'd like to know how to get the remaining flags to show in the list. ListView Recycling: The backgrounds in the listView are being recycled in getView(). This recycling goes from position 0 to position 9. I have flags that need to match at positions 13, 14 and so on. Those positions are not being displayed. listView.getCheckedItemPositions() for multiple selections: This method will not work in my case because the user will not selected the flags. The flags are coming from the server. setNotifyOnChange() and/or public virtual void SetNotifyOnChange (bool notifyOnChange): I'm not adding new data to the list, so I don't see how this method would work for my program. Does this method communicate to getview when it is recycling data? I was unable to find an answer to this in my research. public void registerDataSetObserver: This may be overkill for my problem, but is it possible to have an observer object that keeps track of the all the positions in my items list and in my flag list no matter if the view is recycled and match them on the screen?     If I have an array like this: [0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5], is there a built in method to create this: [[0, 1, 2], [3, 4, 5]] given a width of 3? If there is no built in method, how could I improve on this? def multi_to_single(array, width) return [].tap{|md_array| (array.length.to_f / width).ceil.times {|y| row = (array[(y*width), width]) md_array.push( row + Array.new(width - row.length)) } } end I feel like I have missed something obvious because I haven't programmed ruby in a while!   • Rails: How do I unserialize from database?

    Hello, I am currently trying to save information for an invoice/bill. On the invoice I want to show what the total price is made up of. The procedures & items, their price and the qty. So in the end I hope to get it to look like this: Consult [date] [total_price] Procedure_name [price] [qty] Procedure_name [price] [qty] Consult [date] [total_price] Procedure_name [price] [qty] etc... All this information is available through the database but i want to save the information as a separate copy. That way if the user changes the price of some procedures the invoice information is still correct. I thought i'd do this by serializing and save the data to a column (consult_data) in the Invoice table. I tried defining a variable to the consult_data attribute and then doing "variable.consult_problem" or "variable[:consult_problem]" (also tried looping) but it only throws no-method-errors back at me.     I want to know if there is anyway for removing not required elements from generated xml using jaxb.I have my xsd element definition as follows. <xsd:element name="Title" maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="0"> <xsd:annotation> <xsd:documentation> A name given to the digital record. </xsd:documentation> </xsd:annotation> <xsd:simpleType> <xsd:restriction base="xsd:string"> <xsd:minLength value="1"></xsd:minLength> </xsd:restriction> </xsd:simpleType> </xsd:element> As you can see it is not a mandatory element because minOccurs="0" But if it is not empty the length should be 1. <xsd:minLength value="1"></xsd:minLength> At the time of marshalling if I left the Title field blank it is throwing the SAXException because of min-length restriction. So what I want to do is to remove the whole occurrence of <Title/> from generated XML.Right now i have removed the min-length restriction so it is adding the <Title> element as EMPTY <Title></Title> But I do not want it like this.Any help is appreciated.I am using jaxb 2.0 for Marshalling.     I have a simple form that I would like to validate on form submission. If I remove the dropdownlist and checkboxes then all works fine. The issue appears to be that when I return the View the view is expecting objects for the dropwdownlist and checkboxes (which is sensible as that is what is in my View code) How can I overcome this problem? Things I have considered: In my controller I could create a JobRoleList object and Course object to pass to the View so that it has the objects to render. The issue with this is that it will overwrite any dropdownlist / checkbox selections that the user has already made. In the parameters of my controller method Submit I could aslo capture the JobRoleList object and Course object to pass back to the View. Again, not sure this would capture any items the user has already selected. I have done much googling and reading but I cannot find a good answer. When I look at examples in books or online (e.g. Nerddinner) all the validation examples involve simple forms with TextBox inputs and don't seems to show instances with multiple checkboxes and dropdownlists. Have I missed something obvious here? What would be best practice in this situation? Thanks

    I am trying to call ssh-keygen using a variable through bash as an input instead of a file to get a fingerprint of a public key. This method does not work as it says the key file is invalid (it's correct for sure) echo $pubkey | ssh-keygen -lf /dev/stdin This does work ssh-keygen -lf /dev/stdin < alpha.pub This does not work because I get an ambiguous redirect ssh-keygen -lf /dev/stdin < $(echo $pubkey) I would appreciate some insight as to how to get ssh-keygen to read from a variable with a public key and if possible, an explanation as to why the redirects aren't doing what I think they should be doing. I searched online but many of the redirect tutorials didn't seem to answer my questions.

  • Error in R for missing object

    I have several nested functions, some of which as called in lapply clauses. In the process, sometimes I don't set a default for a parameter and instead check if it was supplied using the missing function. I'm getting a strange error right now when I'm not passing a value for a parameter, it has no default, yet missing resolves to FALSE. And when I try to use or check the parameter in any other way (using length, exists, etc.), I get an error: Error in try(length(x)) : argument "data" is missing, with no default Has anyone experienced this failure of the missing function before?

  • Flash AS3 button eventlistener array bug

    Hi there, this is my first time posting a question here. I have an array of 12 buttons on a timeline that when first visiting that part of the timeline, get a CLICK eventlistener added to them using a for loop. All of them work perfectly at that point. When you click one it plays a frame label inside the specific movieClip and reveals a bio on the corresponding person with a close button and removes the CLICK eventlisteners for each button, again using a for loop. The close button plays a closing animation, and then the timeline goes back to the first frame (the one with the 12 buttons on it) and the CLICK eventlisteners are re-added, but now only the first 9 buttons of the array work. There are no output errors and the code to re-add the eventlisteners is exactly the same as the first time that works. I am completely at a loss and am wondering if anyone else has run into this problem.     hey everybody, I came up to something really strange with a facebook iframe application. I don't know why but my global supervariables $_GET and $_POST are empty (nulls actually)! As far as i know, when using iframe for doing applications all the specific facebook variables are kept inside the $_GET variable. But for some reason now I don't have anything. I don't know what might be the problem. And as this wouldn't be enough, when i submit a form using POST as method, my $_POST variable is also null! What you guys think might be the problem? I've spent half a day trying to figure this out, but i didn't get any result.

  • Ruby: change each value in a hash with something like #collect for arrays?

    Hi! I'd like to replace each value in a hash with value.some_method. For example in a simple hash {"a" = "b", "c" = "d"} every value should be .upcase-d so it looks like {"a" = "B", "c" = "D"}. I tried #collect and #map but always just get arrays back. Is there an 'elegant' way to do this? I need a new hash with the changed values, but would prefer not to define that variable explicitly and then loop over the hash filling it. Something like new_hash = hash.magic {...} ;)

    Ok, I understand perl hash slices, and the "x" operator in Perl, but can someone explain the following code example from here (slightly simplified)? sub test{ my %hash; @hash{@_} = (undef) x @_; } Example Call to sub: test('one', 'two', 'three'); This line is what throws me: @hash{@_} = (undef) x @_; It is creating a hash where the keys are the parameters to the sub and initializing to undef, so: %hash: 'one' = undef, 'two' = undef, 'three' = undef The rvalue of the x operator should be a number; how is it that @_ is interpreted as the length of the sub's parameter array? I would expect you'd at least have to do this: @hash{@_} = (undef) x length(@_);

    There are lots of questions that ask this or a similar question. They all give the command that has to be executed, what I don't understand is where do I write this command. I want to permanently increase the heap space for my tomcat apps. I read this page http://javahowto.blogspot.com/2006/06/6-common-errors-in-setting-java-heap.html and it says under the Tomcat section Stop Tomcat server, set environment variable CATALINA_OPTS, and then restart Tomcat. Look at the file tomcat-install/bin/catalina.sh or catalina.bat for how this variable is used. For example, set CATALINA_OPTS=-Xms512m -Xmx512m (Windows, no "" around the value) export CATALINA_OPTS="-Xms512m -Xmx512m" (ksh/bash, "" around the value) setenv CATALINA_OPTS "-Xms512m -Xmx512m" (tcsh/csh, "" around the value) So I replaced the line set CATALINA_OPTS= with set CATALINA_OPTS=-Xms512m -Xmx512m But I still get the error.

  • What's the reason both Image and Bitmap classes don't implement a custom equality/hashcode logic?

    From MSDN documentation, it seems as both GetHashCode() and Equals() haven't been overriden in Bitmap. Neither have them been overriden in Image. So both classes are using the Object's version of them just compares references. I wasn't too convinced so I decided to fire up Reflector to check it out. It seems MSDN is correct in that matter. So, is there any special reason why MS guys wouldn't implement "comparison logic", at least for the Bitmap class? I find it is kinda acceptable for Image, as it is an abstract class, but not so much for the Bitmap class. I can see in a lot of situations calculating the hash code can be an expensive operation, but it'd be alright if it used some kind of lazy evaluation (storing the computed hash code integer in a variable a variable, so it wouldn't have to calculate it later again). When wanting to compare 2 bitmaps, will I have to resort to having to run all over the picture comparing each one of its pixels? Thanks

    When you attempt to declare an unsigned variable in C#.NET with a value outside its value range it is flagged as a compiler error, but if you produce a negative value at runtime and assign it to that variable at runtime the value wraps. uint z = -1; // Will not compile uint a = 5; uint b = 6; uint c = a - b; // Will result in uint.MaxValue Is there a good reason why unsigned variables wrap in such a situation instead of throwing an exception?     I have an AES encryption being made on two columns: one of these columns is stored at a SQL Server 2000 database; the other is stored at a SQL Server 2008 database. As the first column's database (2000) doesn't have native functionality for encryption / decryption, we've decided to do the cryptography logic at application level, with .NET classes, for both. But as the second column's database (2008) allow this kind of functionality, we'd like to make the data migration using the database functions to be faster, since the data migration in SQL 2k is much smaller than this second and it will last more than 50 hours because of being made at application level. My problem started at this point: using the same key, I didn't achieve the same result when encrypting a value, neither the same result size. Below we have the full logic in both sides..
