    I have several array to deal with. I need to extract the most duplicate value from each array. From [3, 7, 7, 7], I need to find the value 7. Each array size is 4. For now, I don't have to think about when the most duplicate values are more than one such as [3, 7, 7, 7]. All the values are a number. I looked around the web. I found several ways to make an array to become uniq(). But I haven't found a way to get the duplicate value. I am using jQuery, but raw JavaScript is fine for this task.

    I want to write some code that allows me to replace jQuery's animate function with one that does different things, but still allows me to call a secondary function on completion. At the moment, I'm writing lots of code like this; if (cssTransitions) { $("#content_box").css("height",0); window.setTimeout(function() { secondFunction(); }, 600); } else { $("#content_box").animate({ height:0 }, 600, function() { secondFunction(); }); } I'd much rather write a function that looks like this: function slideUpContent(object) { if (cssTransitions) { object.css("height",0); // Not sure how I get a callback here } else { $("#content_box").animate({ height:0 }, 600, function() { }); } } That I could use like this: slideUpContent("#content_box", function(){ secondFunction(); }); But I'm not sure how to get the functionality I need - namely a way to run another function once my one has completed. Can anyone help my rather addled brain?

Would it be possible with just using jquery? Or I should modify my html tree and add some attribute that would distinguish those elemenents with high padding value?

    I would like to have users click a link that then selects the html text in another element (NOT an input). By "select" I mean the same way you would select text by dragging your mouse over it. This has been a bear to research because everyone talks about "select" or "highlight" in other terms. Is this possible?     I have a problem with an animation in jQuery using ajax. On the click of an button (actually an tag), I call a ajax method, and have the following written inside the success parameter: success: function(msg) { $('.ContentsMainRight').children().fadeOut(500, function() { $('.ContentsMainRight').html(msg.d); $('.ContentsMainRight').children().fadeIn(1000); }); }, This have the following result. The contents of a div fade out over 500ms as it's supposed to. Then the html contents of the div are swapped, but then the last part did not work as I hoped. The html returned by the ajax method include some text inside a tag, and a image inside a tag. The result is that the text is automatically displayed instantly with no fadein, but the img that is put fades in over 1 second. Why is the text and image treated differently? -Daemon

  • Multible jquery .load() methods not running concurrently in MVC 2

    In one of my aspx pages i have something like this in the head: <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { // Jquery stuff loadStuff(); }); function loadStuff() { $('#result1').load({ source: url }); $('#result2').load({ source: url }); $('#result3').load({ source: url }); }; </script> The idea being that as the page is being displayed these loads will populate the specified divs with results from different webservices as and when the info becomes available. My problem is that this requests are being queued and being sent one at a time. However I want these to be sent at the same time and whichever returns first gets displayed first! Also if I try to kick off another request while these divs are loading the request seems to get queued after the others. How do I make these requests concurrent instead of queued? Thanks

When I debug it I see that backslashes are removed, function gets "C:ProjectsSamplesmytestwebsite" instead of "'C:\Projects\Samples\mytestwebsite\'". How can I overcome this?

    I have two radio buttons each with a unique ID. When one is clicked, I would like to add $10 to a total. When the other is clicked, we go back to the original total price. My jquery looks like this: function check_ceu() { var price = <%= conference_price %>; if($('#ceu_yes').is(':checked')){ $('#total').val(parseFloat(price) + 10) } else{ $('#total').val(price) } } I have this function bound to document.ready (for page refreshes) and also the onchange handler of the radio buttons. In FF and Chrome this works fine. In IE, when the radio button with ID of "ceu_yes" is checked nothing happens, then when clicking back to the other radio button, 10 is added. So in essence, IE has the checkbox functionality reversed. Below is my code for the buttons: <input type="radio" name="ceu" id="ceu_yes" value="1" onchange="check_ceu()" /> $10 <input type="radio" name="ceu" id="ceu_no" value="0" checked="checked" onchange="check_ceu()" /> No, thank you Any ideas on this?
