  • How to tell my asp.net page to use .net 3.5?

    My company recently upgraded from IE 6 to IE 8. My site does not render properly. I wanted to make sure my .net version was fixed before I started to try to fix a problem. I think my web.config file says i'm using 3.5, but if I get an error when running the app I get this: Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:2.0.50727.3603; ASP.NET Version:2.0.50727.3082 Why does it say 2.0? rather than 3.5? How do i change this? (using visual studio 2008, running the site locally) Thanks in advance!

  • Mechanize form submit not going to the correct response page, no errors as to why. Something I'm doing?

    I threw this all in one controller for testing purposes. My code fills out the form correctly for adding a new address to your Amazon account. There are two buttons that submit this form, one takes you to add a new address which is what I don't want, and the other is just a Save & Continue input/image. When I submit the form via that button, as I do below, the form is still on the page, filled out as I have with my code. Inspecting the page titles, they're the same. There are no discernible errors that Mechanize or Amazon spit back.     Hi guys. Long time viewer, first time question asker. I'm trying to have my personal website parse through my mail box for attachments from a certain subscription list, and then be able to view the PDF attachments as images, preferably jpg. With the help of this: http://www.linuxscope.net/articles/mailAttachmentsPHP.html I'm currently using imap_base64() to decode the MIME data and create the PDF. However, I hate using PDF readers in general and I thought it would be a lot more streamlined if I could just view it as an image instead. I've heard for convert with ImageMagick, but would I need to actually write the PDF to a directory before using this, or can I convert somehow directly from the MIME data in the email? Thanks in advanced!

    I am reading a book and deleting a number of words from it. My problem is that the process takes long time, and i want to make its performance better(Less time), example : Vector<String> pages = new Vector<String>(); // Contains about 1500 page, each page has about 1000 words. Vector<String> wordsToDelete = new Vector<String>(); // Contains about 50000 words. for( String page: pages ) { String pageInLowCase = page.toLowerCase(); for( String wordToDelete: wordsToDelete ) { if( pageInLowCase.contains( wordToDelete ) ) page = page.replaceAll( "(?i)\\b" + wordToDelete + "\\b" , "" ); } // Do some staff with the final page that does not take much time. } This code takes around 3 minutes to execute. If i skipped the loop of replaceAll(...) i can save more than 2 minutes. So is there a way to do the same loop with a faster performance ?
