  • IE8 Randomly does not show background images of my divs

    I have this annoying problem driving me nuts, IE 8 randomly won't show background images of my divs. One minute it shows, then the next time it won't. Then I have to refresh the page 2-3 times for it to show. All my pages work fine on firefox, chrome. Has anyone faced a similar problem? Any solutions?

  • How can I make the text of a UIBarButtonItem wrap to two lines?

    Some of the titles of view controllers in my UINavigationController are quite long, which makes the back button in the navigation bar of the next view controller in the hierarchy miss out some of the text, with a "..." instead. How could I make the text of the back button wrap onto two lines, as with "Now Playing" in the navigation bar of iPod.app? Thanks!

    Hi, could you please help me find the reason of the mystery I've found? In the below code, I create a DataTable and filter it. When I use filter1, everything works as expected. When I use filter2, everything works as expected only if the SubsectionAmount variable is less than 10. As soon as I set SubsectionAmount=10, the dr2 array returns Nothing. I can't find what is wrong.   • Interop c# using a "long" from c++

    On my System: sizeof(long) in c++ is 4 aka 32bits sizeof(long) in c# is 8 aka 64 bits So in my Interop method declarations I've been substituting c++ longs with c# int's however I get the feeling this isn't safe? Why is a long the same size as an int in c++? And long long is 64bits? What's next a long long long long??

    Hello, I'm trying to build a facebook like search for my software. I'd like to query the table customers. I've set up a FULLTEXT Index and tried the next query SELECT * FROM Customer where CONTAINS(*,'*ann*') The query does return all the customers named Ann, but it doesn't return all the customers name Anne. Is there a way to create prefix search on SQL SERVER 2008 using FTS? Thanks.

  • Execute SQL SP in Excel VBA

    HI I am having problem with getting all the columns back when i execute following code in excel vba. I only get 6 out of 23 columns back. Connection, command etc works fine (i can see exec command in the SQL Profiler), data headers are created for all 23 columns but i only get data for 6 column. Side Note: it's not prod level code, have missed out error handling on purpose, sp works fine in SQL management studio, ASP.Net, C# win form app, it is for Excel 2003 connecting to SQL 2008.   • TicTacToe AI Making Incorrect Decisions

    A little background: as a way to learn multinode trees in C++, I decided to generate all possible TicTacToe boards and store them in a tree such that the branch beginning at a node are all boards that can follow from that node, and the children of a node are boards that follow in one move. After that, I thought it would be fun to write an AI to play TicTacToe using that tree as a decision tree. TTT is a solvable problem where a perfect player will never lose, so it seemed an easy AI to code for my first time trying an AI. Now when I first implemented the AI, I went back and added two fields to each node upon generation: the # of times X will win & the # of times O will win in all children below that node. I figured the best solution was to simply have my AI on each move choose and go down the subtree where it wins the most times. Then I discovered that while it plays perfect most of the time, I found ways where I could beat it. It wasn't a problem with my code, simply a problem with the way I had the AI choose it's path. Then I decided to have it choose the tree with either the maximum wins for the computer or the maximum losses for the human, whichever was more. This made it perform BETTER, but still not perfect. I could still beat it. So I have two ideas and I'm hoping for input on which is better: 1) Instead of maximizing the wins or losses, instead I could assign values of 1 for a win, 0 for a draw, and -1 for a loss. Then choosing the tree with the highest value will be the best move because that next node can't be a move that results in a loss. It's an easy change in the board generation, but it retains the same search space and memory usage. Or... 2) During board generation, if there is a board such that either X or O will win in their next move, only the child that prevents that win will be generated. No other child nodes will be considered, and then generation will proceed as normal after that. It shrinks the size of the tree, but then I have to implement an algorithm to determine if there is a one move win and I think that can only be done in linear time (making board generation a lot slower I think?) Which is better, or is there an even better solution?

Each time, for the tramsmitting only, I'm closing the outputStream and reopen it when I have to send the next message. os.write(msgBytes); os.write("\r\n".getBytes()); os.flush(); os.close(); How Can I keep this Socket's OutputStream, os, open and still be able to send the message? I would like to allow a user to click on a JList and if words are typed, do a query and advance the caret to the next match (prefix). Is there and example of such an implementation in Java somewhere? I'm thinking a combination of key listeners, getNextMatch() and setSelectValue().

  • Problem accessing updated variables within OnTouch

    I have an OnTouch and a setOnTouchListener that updates varibles which contain screen coord info. The problem is it doesnt seem to ever update them. On line 78, RGB.setText(test); it never changes from 0.0. If i were to move that line and the line above it into the onTouch it updates. any idea what is wrong?   • How do I stop Emacs automatically inserting hyphens at the beginning of new lines in fundamental fil

    Hi there, I'm jotting down some notes in Emacs in Fundamental Fill mode. I'm starting each one of my notes with a "-" on a new line. The problem is, whenever one of the notes I'm writing is too long to fit on a single line, it gets pushed down to the next line (which I want to happen) but Emacs goes ahead and automatically inserts another "-" for me out the front on the new line (which I don't want to happen). Is there a way to stop Emacs from exhibiting this "helpful" behaviour?

Links have a class='lightwindow' and after clicking is rising up a LightWindow script with a window. So it work's vell on the First Page .. when i click Next Page on SortTable.Pager and clickin on my link 'Details' it's doesnt work correctly, it looks like my links lost their class='lightwindow'.     I am trying to write some code that will allow me to dynamically load DLLs into my application, depending on an application setting. The idea is that the database to be accessed is set in the application settings and then this loads the appropriate DLL and assigns it to an instance of an interface for my application to access.   • About the forward and backward a word behaviour in Emacs

    I don't know if there's something wrong with my settings but when I press M-f (forward a word) it doesn't matter where I am, it never place the cursor in the next word (just between words). This doesn't happen with M-b which place my cursor in the beginning of the previous word. Is this a normal behavior? How do I place my cursor at the beginning of the following word?
