It is a server for multiple TCP/IP connections, doing asynchronous socket reads and synchronous socket writes. In searching for an answer I came across this post which talks about a call to Application.Doevents() which I don't use in my code. I also found this post which has a resolution involved with Component which I also don't use in my code. The application does reference a library that I created that contains custom user controls and components, but they are not being used by the application. Question: What caused this to happen and how do I prevent this from happening again? Or a more realistic question: What does this exception actually mean? How is "context" defined in this situation? Anything that can help me understand what is going on would be very much appreciated.

  i have a biztalk - window service tied middleware application which talks to other system. recently we had a request to test for scenarios which relates to the date. as we have a lot of places in the application which uses the .net Datetime.Now value, we don't really want to go into the code level and change all these values. so we're looking at the simplest way to test which is to just change the OS time. but what we notice is that sometimes when we change the system date time, we will get account lock out due to Active Directory. So my question is what's a good and safe way that i can test for future dates, etc by changing the windows OS system date time but without causing any issues with the Active Directory. And where can i find out more about AD and how it issues token and what's the correlation with the system date time changes. Thanks! ~m

• how should i create my own 'now' / DateTime.Now ?

  Hi all, i'm starting to build a part of a system which will hold a lot of DateTime validations, and a lot of 'if it was done before now' or 'if it will start in an hour etc'. Usual way to go is to use DateTime.Now to get the actual time. I predict however, that during unit test that will give me a real headache because i will have to setup my testdata for the time when the test will run in stead of use a default set of test data. So i thought: why not use my own 'now' so i can set the current datetime to any moment in time. As i don't want to set the testservers internal clock i was thinking about this solution, and i was wondering what you think of it. Base thought is that i use my own DateTime class. The following did not work so far: calling stopDrag() on the component -- nothing happens calling DragManager.acceptDragDrop(null) -- nothing happens calling mx_internal function DragManager.endDrag() -- drag partly stops, the drag proxy image disappears but now the drop indicator shows at row 0, and also there's a null error when finally releasing the mouse Anybody else had any luck with this? • Copy operation fails when running executable using shortcut.

  I've coded a C# executable that uses xcopy (cmd.exe /Q /D /C xcopy [args]) to duplicate some files. If I run the .exe by double-clicking it, the xcopy operation works every time. If I run the .exe by double-clicking a shortcut to the .exe, the xcopy works only if the shortcut is in the same folder as the .exe. This makes absolutely no sense to me, I wouldn't even know where to begin to find the answer. So, you know, help.

• No IO exception reported for socket operation when the interface is removed

  The wifi network is connected, the application setup a socket connection and exchange data with the remote server. But when turn off the wifi, the inteface is removed, while socket operation read/write on this socket is still like normal, no any IO exception reported. The application has to do some extra checking to avoid waiting for the data forever. Is this the normal case for Android design? Is there any plan to fix it?
