  • Is it possible to have non-replicated data on an LDAP consumer?

    I've read all the available documentation, the Mastering OpenLDAP book, and like a zillion mail-list posts but I haven't found a way to make such scenario possible. I see several use cases for this scenario like an enterprise application syncing all users from the main LDAP of the Org but keeping it's own application related schemas and objects in its server. So please, could you point me in the right direction or help me discard the possibility at all?

  • Properly escaping check_command in nagios

    When I execute sudo -u nagios /usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/check_by_ssh.sh hostname "check_haproxy -u \"http://localhost:10000/haproxy?stats\;csv\"" it runs perfectly on the server. For this, I have this in my HAProxy.cfg define service { use generic-service hostgroup_name pwmail-ee-oxweb service_description HAProxy-ee servicegroups ssh-dep check_command check_by_ssh!check_haproxy -u \"http://localhost:10000/haproxy?stats\;csv\" contacts sysad,mail-hosting-rt } It doesn't work. Says that Return code of 127 is out of bounds - plugin may be missing. What am I doing wrong?

  • Web-based IMAP client with support for multiple mailboxes

    I would like to switch from desktop-based e-mail software (Thunderbird) to a web-based solution that I run on my own web server. I have already tried out Roundcube and while it does work reasonably well so far there is one great feature from Thunderbird that seems to be missing - it doesn't allow me to have a unified mailbox for multiple IMAP accounts. Can anybody recommend a web-based IMAP client that has this feature?

  • Exim To Include Internal Email When Sending

    I wonder if you can help me out... at the moment were using exim to relay our emails to an smtp_relay. The only problem is if the user exists and has an email address it won't exit the server and send them mail using our relay. I need it to go to the relay even if it's an internal email address. I had planned to replace some of these with Windows shares as I have better hardware available but have been told this is likely to cause issues with some of our Mac users.     Hello everyone, I'd like to setup postfix as an MTA for 2 domains, about 10 users each. I'm a bit confused with the documentation. Postfix has so many options for mail delivery. I'd like to have a simple file where I would store all the email addresses (and possibly their corresponding mailboxes). I wouldn't like neither system's passswd file nor mysql to be used for storing email users. What parts of documentation I should be focused on?

  • 256MB VPS on XEN

    I am thinking of getting a 256MB server on XEN but not sure is it capable of handling this setup: Varnish + Nginx + Eaccelerator + PHP-FM + MySQL + Mail/FTP? I've tried this setup on OpenVZ and it was partly disastorous, especially with varnish in the equation, i've heard that XEN is better at memory management, sometimes shaving off 50mb or more in comparison to OpenVZ setups... if anyone has any helpful suggestions / input please let me know thanks

  • Cannot install boot camp 3.1 drivers on windows 7

    Hi all, I have a 64 bit windows 7 install (thru bootcamp) on my 17" macbook pro, with the bootcamp 3.0 drivers. Whenever i run the apple software update to install the 3.1 drivers, it downloads and installs them, then reboots, and when i've rebooted, it's still stuck on version 3.0 according to 'about boot camp' on the system tray icon. I've tried installing several times, it keeps happening. Any ideas? Thanks

    I'm calling shell scripts inside /etc/smrsh to process incoming emails as commands for my system. As I'm seeing all incoming emails are not making it to /var/mail/spool/USER. Is there any way I can access to the content of the emails ? some variable $1 $2 comming with the content values ? If not, how do I access to the content of the emails received ? thanks guys

    In MySQL you have to authorized a user based on the name of the origin network. From my network to a remote one all connections appear as sent from mail.mycompany.com. But connections to another remote network it appears with a different origin. How to discover which name/ip it is using? I tried tcpdump and netstat in the destination but it is difficult to find my connection among billions of others. In my case the destination is a Windows Server 2003

For example, Empathy minimizes to the system tray (mail icon) when the close button is pressed in the application window. How do I make Evolution do this as well? Essentially I would like to have Evolution hidden in the system tray instead of having to re-launch it every ten minutes to check for new messages (or leave it open and clutter the taskbar).

However, after deleting the account, I am not able to configure again, and it keep on repeating same problem: invalid email account. I have changed the password, and also did unlocking of captcha many times, but it just doesn't connect with blackberry account. Can I get some advice?

    I'm having an issue where my Exchange Edge Transport server receives mail (found in logs) and then it vanishes, never ending up in the users mailbox, I have a edge subscription setup between it and the main Exchange server, how can I go about tracing the message to figure out what is broken? I also have found records of the message in the logs on the main Exchange server. Thanks a ton for any help Edit: If I change port 25 on my main router to point to the main exchange server as opposed to the Edge Transport, email comes through fine form external domains and delivered in the correct mailbox

The corporation has been kind enough to provide me with the credentials to access their LDAP server, with which I would like my GMail web client to be able to auto-complete partial addresses or names for which that LDAP server has an entry.     I'm looking for a good way to benchmark the performance of Ubuntu machines (preferably from the command line - only care about harddrive speed, memory, and cpu - not graphics). Are there any programs that could also be used on Mac or Windows so I could compare the results against an Apple or PC Desktop? Ultimately I'd like to use these benchmarks to compare different virtual machine configurations (speeds on different hosts and different hardware to get practical idea of the differences between different setups a rigs).     How do you install any visualizer other than the default visualizer that ships with iTunes 10 in Windows 7. I've tried placing qtz files in my C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins folder and restarting iTunes, but of course no other visualizers can be selected. Common visualizers that I would like to install include those found here I'm of course aware that some of these are Mac OS only due to library dependencies - I would still like to know if it's possible to install any visualizer other than the default for iTunes in Windows 7

  • windows 8.1 sync wallpaper slideshow

    I have the same slideshow in the exact same folder (C:\Images) on two computers which are syncing their settings over the Microsoft account (mail and other settings synced normally), and I have independently configured them to display wallpaper slideshows from that folder. However, the "Synced Theme" in Personalise Desktop repeatedly resets to a static image. Is there a way to ensure the sync sticks?
