  • MS Access 2003 - Option Group frame: can I add text boxes that are part of the frame instead of rad

    Ok so this maybe a simple/silly question but I don't know so here goes: In access let's say I want to have a frame control, so I click the option group button and add it to the desgin surface. However, I am not wanting to use this as a option group with radio button selection, instead I would like to add text boxes instead the frame, so that when I reference the frame, it references every control instead of it, hence the text boxes, cbo boxes, etc.....just as it would if they were radio option selections. So can you do this? I want whatever controls I add inside the frame to be easily referenced (i.e. make all controls visible just by using frameExample.visible = true) so that I can build my own tab control groupings..... can this be done? Thanks! EDIT: What I am trying to accomplish is having a form that includes a collection of controls (input controls - cbo boxes, text boxes, etc), that serve as the Main record information. These are saved to a table via an INSERT statement on button_click because this form is unbound. Next I have 8 categories that are relative per each main record (and data that goes along with it). Each of these categories could have a sub form area and a button click that bring it's relative form into the sub form area. These sub forms would be unbound as well as I would just save data via SQL statement. So i know I could accomplish this by running the insert statement from the parent form, on the main collection control's data that would create the KeyID number, then run a SQL statement that would turn around and load that KeyID number right back onto the page in a hidden text box. Then when I click one of the sub forms and load its relative collection of controls, I could then save that data along with KeyID for each of these sub-forms/tables. SO...... I was wondering if instead you could define these controls as a collection so that you could hide and make visible all the ones you need on button clicks and avoid the need for additional forms (subs). I know that if a user enters data into a text box, and then somewhere along the way that box becomes hidden, the data still exists in it and still ends up in the SQL statement.... So I want all these controls to exist on the same form, but I thought what is I could encapsulate them into a frame like an option group, then I could call the frame and all the relative controls would be called up (made visible) as needed.   • Downloading jQuery UI: Ok, so what part of this mess do I copy to the server?

    From the "should be simple, but..." files: Trying to get started with jQuery UI. Went to the site, used their custom builder thingy to assemble the parts I need, made myself a custom theme using the Theme Roller, downloaded the zip file thus produced, unzipped it on my local drive. Ok, so I have 37 folders, 311 files, and a total of 2.4 MB. Ain't no way in hell all this is going on the server. What parts do I need to put there? 'css' 'custom-theme': jquery-ui-1.8.custom.css, 'images' subfolder with 12 .png images 'development-bundle' 'demos': demos.css, index.html, plus 18 subfolders, but I'm guessing "not needed" 'docs': 17 .html files, but again, I'm guessing "not needed" 'external': 4 .js files, one .css 'themes': 'base' and 'custom-theme' subfolders, each with 8 or 9 .css files and an 'images' subfolder with about a dozen images 'ui': 25 .js files, an 'i18n' subfolder with 53 .js files, and a 'minified' subfolder with 24 .js files 'js': jquery-1.4.2.min.js and jquery-ui-1.8.custom.min.js Also, the file structure. Our server is set up something like this: root admin (administrative tools) css forms (the gist of the site lives here) images include (asp code snippets that are used by multiple pages) js (just a few things right now, like an ancient wheezing spelling checker) As far as I can tell, the jQuery css files assume that (1) each theme is in its own folder, and (2) each folder has its own images subfolder. How can I convince it otherwise? i.e. put the necessary .js files in the 'js' folder, the .css files in the 'css' folder, and the images in the 'images' folder?

    I am coding a simple space empire management game in Visual C# 2008, which relies on connecting to a remote SQL server database to get/store data. I would like the user to be able to connect to a user-specified SQL server from the login screen(he specifies IP address, port, database name, ID, password and presses "connect" button). However, I found out that the Dataset connection string property is read only and cannot be changed. Is there any way to guide the wizard-generated DataSet to a user-specified server at run time?

  • Why does Python's math.factorial not play nice with threads?

    Why does math.factorial act so weird in a thread? Here is an example, it creates three threads: thread that just sleeps for a while thread that increments an int for a while thread that does math.factorial on a large number. It calls start on the threads, then join with a timeout The sleep and spin threads work as expected and return from start right away, and then sit in the join for the timeout.     We have two computer in office and two people. My computer is much more faster than another computer. Is it possible my colleague connect to my computer remotely and work by my computer? Using "Remote Desktop" in Windows only one user can log into computer. So when he connect remotely, my user logged off. Is there a tool which can help in this case? I already knew VNC (RealVNC) But it's not helping because when a user connect to my computer, he see exactly my desktop, not his own user desktop.

  • How do I repeat part of an image using background-position and CSS sprites?

    I would like to create some buttons with dynamic width using CSS sprites and background-position but I'm not sure if what I want is possible.. I would like the button to have a left-side, middle, and right-side, with the middle repeating as required. Ideally I would like this to be made up of one image of 11px wide so the left and right sides are both 5px wide and the middle is 1px repeated. Is there some way I can define in CSS to use the one centre pixel of the image and repeat if for the required (unknown) width? Normally I've used two images to achieve similar results - one for the sides and a second image of 1px width for the middle, but if there's some way of combining them into one image I would prefer to use that.

  • One time use FTP passwords with C-Panel/WHM?

    I'm in a position where I need to give about a dozen people one shot FTP access to a domain in order to upload their work. I'd like to use single shot passwords, e.g once they login and upload, that's it. Single use. I don't see any obvious means of doing this conveniently with C-Panel. Prior to going through the bother of writing a WHM add on to accomplish the same, I'd like to make sure that I'm not re-inventing the wheel. Thanks in advance.

  • Why does Microsoft Windows' performance appear to degrade over time?

    Windows XP/2k3 and earlier (can't attest to Vista, but suspect it's the same) all appear to become more sluggish over time as applications are installed and uninstalled. This is not a scientifically tested observation, but more of a learned-through-experience piece of wisdom. (I've always suspected the registry as being behind the issue.) Does anyone have any concrete evidence of this degradation occurring, or it just an invalid perception of mine?

  • My external hard drive letter is increasing each time i plugin it to my laptop, how to solve this pr

    I have a strange problem, everytime i plugin my external hard drive, its letter increase, "g,h,i,j,k,l,m, then n, and now o" I went to computer manager and did what is described in this question: http://superuser.com/questions/76165/windows-changing-an-external-hard-drives-drive-letter To change the drive letter, but i found that the letters from h to n are all missed and not in the list. How to solve this problem? I am using windows 7 ultimate edition 32. 2GB Ram.
