  • How do I get apache RewriteRule working correctly for a subdomain

    - by yummm
I just setup a subdomain with the following RewriteCond: RewriteCond $1 !^search.php$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^/?([^/]+)$ search.php?q=$1 [L,NS] I'm using the same rewrite condition on my main domain and it works perfectly. However, when I set it up on the subdomain, it simply outputs "index.php" when going to http://sub.domain.com Every page on the subdomain outputs the page name in the body instead of processing the code, except for the search page, which appears to be working correctly. What can I do to correct this issue?

  • How to match a string in URI with regular expression?

    - by forestclown
In my Apache config httpd.conf, I wish to setup a rule like below SetEnvIfNoCase %{QUERY_STRING} ^.*(getBook+)$ no-gzip dont-vary I am hoping to do no-gzip when my URL looks like http://myurl.fake.com/book/getBook3?id=234 http://myurl.fake.com/book/getBook1?id=xxx I am not sure if I can do that by setting up something like the above in httpd.conf.. The reason I do query string is because the url myurl.fake.com/book/getBook3 was mod_rewrite from myurl.fake.com/index.php?controller=book&action=getBook3 Thanks!

  • Are there any advantages to using windows 7 ultimate? I can't tell the diference

Even my Windows Experience Index number is the same 5.5 that it was before the upgrade. So what's the point, are there any performance advantages that I'm not seeing? • RewriteRules targeting a directory result in a gratuitous redirect [closed]

    - by MapDot
I have a standard CMS-like RewriteRule set up in my .htaccess: RewriteRule ^(.+)$ index.php?slug=$1 Let's say I have a directory called "foo" in the root directory. For some reason, if you hit the page it causes a redirect: http://www.mysite.com/foo -- http://www.mysite.com/foo?slug=foo Removing the directory fixes the problem, but unfortunately, it's not an option. Does anyone know of a workaround?

  • SQL Server: can SecurityAdmin role read error log?

I'm on SecurityAdmin role and when I try to execute xp_readerrorlog I get a following error: Msg 229, Level 14, State 5, Procedure xp_readerrorlog, Line 1 The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'xp_readerrorlog', database 'mssqlsystemresource', schema 'sys'. What I'm missing? Can this role read error logs or not?

  • Unable to commit file through svn, server sent truncated HTTP response body

    - by Rocket3G
I have my own VPS, on which I want to run a simple SVN + chiliproject setup. I have re-installed SVN, CHILI and the OS several times, and it always works for a couple of hours/days and then it just stops working. Well, everything works, except I can't upload any files. Committing directories seems to work just fine, but when I try to commit a file it breaks. I have an error log file, which gives me the following text when I try to commit something x.x.x.x - - [19/Oct/2013:00:01:46 +0200] "OPTIONS /project HTTP/1.1" 200 149 x.x.x.x - - [19/Oct/2013:00:01:46 +0200] "PROPFIND /project HTTP/1.1" 207 346 x.x.x.x - - [19/Oct/2013:00:01:46 +0200] "MKACTIVITY /project/!svn/act/c11d45ac-86b6-184a-ac5a-9a1105d64563 HTTP/1.1" 401 345 x.x.x.x - admin [19/Oct/2013:00:01:46 +0200] "MKACTIVITY /project/!svn/act/c11d45ac-86b6-184a-ac5a-9a1105d64563 HTTP/1.1" 201 262 x.x.x.x - - [19/Oct/2013:00:01:46 +0200] "PROPFIND /project HTTP/1.1" 207 236 x.x.x.x - admin [19/Oct/2013:00:01:46 +0200] "CHECKOUT /project/!svn/vcc/default HTTP/1.1" 201 271 x.x.x.x - admin [19/Oct/2013:00:01:46 +0200] "PROPPATCH /project/!svn/wbl/c11d45ac-86b6-184a-ac5a-9a1105d64563/1 HTTP/1.1" 207 267 x.x.x.x - admin [19/Oct/2013:00:01:46 +0200] "CHECKOUT /project/!svn/ver/1 HTTP/1.1" 201 271 x.x.x.x - - [19/Oct/2013:00:01:46 +0200] "HEAD /project/index.html HTTP/1.1" 404 - x.x.x.x - admin [19/Oct/2013:00:01:46 +0200] "PUT /project/!svn/wrk/c11d45ac-86b6-184a-ac5a-9a1105d64563/index.html HTTP/1.1" 201 269 x.x.x.x - admin [19/Oct/2013:00:02:04 +0200] "DELETE /project/!svn/act/c11d45ac-86b6-184a-ac5a-9a1105d64563 HTTP/1.1" 204 - So it seems that it PUTs the file (test.html) correctly, and somehow somewhere something is wrong (file permissions are alright, when I purposely stated that they are wrong, it gave me errors, which is expected, and they were about the file permissions being incorrect. The odd thing is that files won't get added, but directories are fine. I also have enough storage left on my machine. What I should note, perhaps, is that I use Ubuntu 12.04.3 with ruby 1.9.3, mysql 14.14 and I have it set up that Chiliproject handles the authentication and authorization for the project. It works, because I can commit directories and read it all correctly, though I can't upload files. Help would really be appreciated, as I don't know what on earth is going on with this 'truncated http response body'. I tried to read them with wireshark, but it basically gave me the same information. With regards, Ps. I have no clue what the delay between put and delete is, as it's a file of a mere 500 bytes, so it's uploaded in approximately a second. Pps. I copied this question from StackOverflow to this site, as I didn't know the existence of this site and another user suggested that I'd get more answers here, as it's basically a server fault.

  • Bolding/underlining/strikethrough-ing text in mutt

    - by Steve K
Is there any way to bold, strike, or underline text in mutt? For instance, I currently have a couple of lines in my muttrc to make URLs and email addresses blue text on white background: color body blue white regex but I'd rather have that be blueunderline on white background. Likewise, I'd like to be able to bold unread mails in the index. (dunno if it's relevant, but I'm using Ubuntu's mutt-patched, which is compiled with ncurses.)

  • Can I choose a sparse file as vdev for a zfs pool?

    - by Karl Richter
man zpool states that a vdev for a zfs pool can be a "regular file". Can I specify a sparse file (the warning about the integrity of the file being determined by the underlying filesystem should apply with the same relevance for a sparse file)? The ZFS administration guide on https://pthree.org/2012/12/04/zfs-administration-part-i-vdevs/ states that file vdevs "must be preallocated, and not sparse files or thin provisioned" (thanks to @jlliagre). On https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Experimenting_with_ZFS sparse files are used without any comment.

I've got a sizeable Solr server which is chewing a pile of disk. Whilst it is indexing a large amount of data, I'm wondering if there's any operation that will reduce the size of the index, by say dropping deleted-but-still-allocated data in a similar manner to a VACUUM FULL in PostgreSQL, or are the solr indexes kept fairly tidy, and my only option is to just allocate a pile more diskspace?

I have the following directory structure for my websites: /var/www/sitename/subdomain/(public|log) e.g /var/www/stackoverflow.com/careers/public/index.html Can I make a single generic nginx configuration to do this? So that every domain is mapped to the right directory? I would not like to edit my nginx configuration for every website I add. The root domain can always be mapped to the www subdomain.

  • Web application/ site service (like Google App Engine) for PHP/ MySQL and Postgres

    - by Simon
I would like to find a service similar to Google App Engine for PHP/ MySQL/ Postgres sites/ applications. We host two different types of site. i). PHP/ Mysql/ Zend Framework <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot "/home/websites/website.com/public" ServerName website.com # This should be omitted in the production environment SetEnv APPLICATION_ENV development <Directory "/home/websites/website.com/public"> Options Indexes MultiViews FollowSymLinks AllowOverride All Order allow, deny Allow from all RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -s [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -l [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d RewriteRule ^.*$ - [NC,L] RewriteRule ^.*$ index.php [NC,L] </Directory> </VirtualHost> ii). Matrix CMS - PHP/ Postgres + loads of pear classes <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName server.example.com DocumentRoot /home/websites/mysource_matrix/core/web Options -Indexes FollowSymLinks <Directory /home/websites/mysource_matrix> Order deny, allow Deny from all </Directory> <DirectoryMatch "^/home/websites/mysource_matrix/(core/(web|lib)|data/public|fudge)"> Order allow, deny Allow from all </DirectoryMatch> <DirectoryMatch "^/home/websites/mysource_matrix/data/public/assets"> php_flag engine off </DirectoryMatch> <FilesMatch "\.inc$"> Order allow, deny Deny from all </FilesMatch> <LocationMatch "/(CVS|\.FFV)/"> Order allow, deny Deny from all </LocationMatch> Alias /__fudge /home/websites/mysource_matrix/fudge Alias /__data /home/websites/mysource_matrix/data/public Alias /__lib /home/websites/mysource_matrix/core/lib Alias / /home/websites/mysource_matrix/core/web/index.php/ </VirtualHost> My key requirements are: I don't want to worry/ know/ care about the server/ infrastructure Secure/ up to date software/ os Good monitoring Automatic scalability SLA I apologise for the length of the question. In short all I want to do is i). create vhost, ii). create db iii). install app/ site iv). relax. Thanks. Edit: I include the Matrix vhost because that is the only complication that I cannot really do via a .htaccess file.

  • Adding SSI support causes mod_dir "trailing slash" redirect to stop working

    - by freethinker
I have enabled SSI using the following directives in .htaccess AddHandler server-parsed .html AddOutputFilter INCLUDES html However when I add these, the trailing slash redirects stop working. For eg. http://testwp.humbug.in/test/index.html works fine but http://testwp.humbug.in/test/ doesn't work. In chrome it gives a "Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE)" error while in firefox it shows a blank page. What additional configuration do I need for both mod_dir and mod_include to work properly?

  • What is a "PR"? What does PR stand for in the context of FreeBSD Ports

    - by Jared Updike
Compare: http://www.freebsd.org/prstats/index.html A specific "PR": http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=134774 Does it stand for Portability Report? or something similar? I can tell it has to do with tracking bug reports and build problems for specific ports but the acronym is baffling me. It may also be used in the Linux world but Googling for "Linux PR" only yields results related to Public Relations. Apparently FreeBSD has PRs and Linux has Public Relations.

  • Roughly how long should an "ALTER TABLE" take on an 1.3GB INNODB table?

    - by justkevin
I'm trying to optimize a table that hasn't been optimized in a long time. It has around 2.5 million rows with 1.3 GB of data and a 152 MB index. I started optimizing it about 15 minutes ago and I have no idea how long it will take. The server is reasonably robust (quad xeon with 4GB ram) and has a 500MB innodb buffer pool size. Should I expect this to take minutes, hours or days?
