  • toggling proximity sensor on iPhone loses an event

    - by slugolicious
    I'm using setProximitySensingEnabled and implemented proximityStateChanged in my UIApplication subclass. It looks like if sensing is toggled, that the first "off" event is being lost. My UIApplication class is pretty basic... -(void)proximityStateChanged:(BOOL)state { NSLog(state ? @"ON" : @"OFF"); } In my application delegate, I have a UISwitch that enables/disables the proximity sensor. -(IBAction)toggleProxy:(id)sender { [UIApplication sharedApplication].proximitySensingEnabled = prox.on; } "prox" is my UISwitch. The test works fine when it first starts. I tap the switch to turn it on and then put my hand over the sensor for a second then move it away and get: 2009-03-11 12:43:00.465 Proximity[324:20b] ON 2009-03-11 12:43:02.514 Proximity[324:20b] OFF 2009-03-11 12:43:04.046 Proximity[324:20b] ON 2009-03-11 12:43:05.621 Proximity[324:20b] OFF I then tap the switch to turn it off then tap again to turn it on. Now I get: 2009-03-11 12:43:12.005 Proximity[324:20b] ON 2009-03-11 12:43:14.789 Proximity[324:20b] ON 2009-03-11 12:43:16.467 Proximity[324:20b] OFF 2009-03-11 12:43:17.516 Proximity[324:20b] ON 2009-03-11 12:43:19.077 Proximity[324:20b] OFF Notice I get two ON's before an OFF. The OFF is lost somewhere. I can't replicate this behavior using Google's mobile app so I'm wondering if they're resetting something in between proximity enabling. They don't have the proximity sensor on all the time because if you cover the sensor, the screen doesn't go blank. You have to tilt the phone up and angle it back (to simulate the position it would be in at your ear) and then covering the sensor works. Anyone else playing with the sensor? In my particular app, I'm recording a voice message and when you move the phone away from your ear, I want to pause the recording (when I get an OFF). The first time I move the phone away from my ear, the recording is not paused. However, if I put it to my ear and move it away again, it is paused.

  • Django select distinct sum

    - by yoshi
    I have the following (greatly simplified) table structure: Order: order_number = CharField order_invoice_number = CharField order_invoice_value = CharField An invoice number can be identical on more than one order (order O1 has invoice number I1, order O2 has invoice number I1, etc.). All the orders with the same invoice number have the same invoice value. For example: Order no. Invoice no. Value O1 I1 200 O2 I1 200 O3 I1 200 04 I2 50 05 I2 100 What I am trying to do is do a sum over all the invoice values, but don't add the invoices with the same number more than once. The sum for the above items would be: 200+50+100. I tried doing this using s = orders.values('order_invoice_id').annotate(total=Sum('order_invoice_value')).order_by() and s = orders.values('order_invoice_id').order_by().annotate(total=Sum('order_invoice_value')) but I didn't get the desired result. I tried a few different solutions from similar questions around here but I couldn't get the desired result. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong and what I actually should do to get a sum that uses each invoice value just once.

  • Select a distinct record, filtering is not working..

    - by help_inmssql
    Hello EVery I am new to SQl. query to result in the following records. I have a table with records as c1 c2 c3 c4 c5 c6 1 John 2.3.2010 12:09:54 4 7 99 2 mike 2.3.2010 13:09:59 8 6 88 3 ahmad 2.3.2010 13:09:59 1 9 19 4 Jim 23.3.2010 16:35:14 4 5 99 5 run 23.3.2010 12:09:54 3 8 12 I want to fecth only records. i.e only 1 latest record per day. If both of them happen at the same time, sort by C1.so in 1&3 it should fetch 3. 3 ahmad 2.3.2010 14:09:59 1 9 19 4 Jim 23.3.2010 16:35:14 4 5 99 I have got a new problem in this. If i filter the records based on conditions the last record is missing. I tried many ways but still it is failing. Here update_log is my table. SELECT * FROM update_log t1 WHERE (t1.c3) = ( SELECT MAX(t2.c3) FROM update_log t2 WHERE DATEDIFF(dd,t2.c3, t1.c3) = 0 ) and t1.c3 > '02.03.2010' and t1.modified_at <= '22.03.2010' ORDER BY t1.c3 ASC. But i am not able to retrieve the record 4 Jim 23.3.2010 16:35:14 4 5 99 I dont know this query results in only 3 ahmad 2.3.2010 14:09:59 1 9 19 The format of the column c3 is datetime. I am pumping the data into the column as using $date = date("d.m.Y H:i",time()); -- simple date fetch of today. Another query that i tried for the same purpose. select * from (select convert(varchar(10), c3,104) as date, max(c3) as max_date, max(c1) as Nr from update_log group by convert(varchar(10), c3,104)) as t2 inner join update_log as t1 on (t2.max_date = t1.c3 and convert(varchar(10), c3,104) = date and t1.[c1]= Nr) WHERE t1.c3 >= '02.03.2010' and t1.c3 <= '16.04.2010' . I even tried this way..the same error last record is not coming..

  • Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket

    - by Martin
    I was trying to tune the performance of a running mysql-server by running this command: mysqld_safe --key_buffer_size=64M --table_cache=256 --sort_buffer_size=4M --read_buffer_size=1M & After this i'm unable to connect mysql from the server where mysql is running. I get this error: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (111) However, luckily i can still connect to mysql remotely. So all my webservers still have access to mysql and are running without any problems. Because of this though i don't want to try to restart the mysql server since that will probably fuck everything up. Now i know that mysqld_safe is starting the mysql-server, and since the mysql server was already running i guess it's some kind of problem with two mysql servers running and listening to the same port. Is there some way to solve this problem without restarting the initial mysql server? UPDATE: This is what ps xa | grep "mysql" says: 11672 ? S 0:00 /bin/sh /usr/bin/mysqld_safe 11780 ? Sl 175:04 /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/usr --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --user=mysql --pid-file=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid --socket=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock --port=3306 11781 ? • How yo play rington/alarm sound in Android

    - by Federico
    I have been looking everywhere how to play a $#@&! rington/alarm sound in android. I press a button and I want to play a rington/alarm sound. I could not find a easy, strsight forward sample... YES! I already looked at Alarm clock source code... but it is not straight forward and I cannot compile it neither. I cannot make this work: Uri alert = RingtoneManager.getDefaultUri(RingtoneManager.TYPE_ALARM); mMediaPlayer = new MediaPlayer(); mMediaPlayer.setDataSource(this, alert); final AudioManager audioManager = (AudioManager)getSystemService(Context.AUDIO_SERVICE); if (audioManager.getStreamVolume(AudioManager.STREAM_ALARM) != 0) { player.setAudioStreamType(AudioManager.STREAM_ALARM); player.setLooping(true); player.prepare(); player.start(); } I get this error 04-11 17:15:27.638: ERROR/MediaPlayerService(30): Couldn't open fd for content://settings/system/ringtone So.. please if somebody knows how to play a default rington/alarm let me know. I prefer not to upload any file. Just play a default rington. Thanks, Federico

  • Dojo DnD: how to access newly copied node on onDndDrop event?

    - by toshinao
    Hi. I am working on code like the following. 01: var c1 = new dojo.dnd.Source('container1', {copyOnly:true}); // container1 is a div 02: var c2 = new dojo.dnd.Source('container2'); // container2 is a div 03: var list = []; 04: for (var i = 0; i < 3; i++) { list.push( dojo.create('div') ); } 05: c1.insertNodes(false, list); 06: 07: function checkDndCopy(nodes, target){ 08: dojo.forEach(nodes, function(node){ alert(node.id); } ); 09: } 10: dojo.subscribe("/dnd/drop", function(){ 11: var mgr = dojo.dnd.manager(); 12: checkDndCopy(mgr.nodes, mgr.target); 13: }); The nodes inserted to the c1 at line 05 have id of "dojoUnique1, donoUnique2, dojoUnique3". On a event of drag and drop a node from c1 to c2, a onDndDrop event is fired and the subscribe method defined in line10-13 is invoked. I expected that newly copied node appears in the nodes (for example) at line 08. But this is not true. When dojoUnique1 is target of drag and drop, nodes at line 08 contains only dojoUnique1. I want to modify some attributes of newly copied nodes on the event of onDndDrop. Please let me know how such a thing is realized.

  • Wrong Ruby Float and BigDecimal subtraction result

    - by SamChandra
    I am running: [~/ruby/rails/sas]$ ruby --version ruby 1.8.7 (2009-06-08 patchlevel 173) [universal-darwin10.0] on Mac Snow Leopard 10.6.3 Can anyone help to explain why the Float and BigDecimal subtraction can be this wrong. [~/ruby/rails/sas]$ console Loading development environment (Rails 2.1.1) >> num = 30.0 => 30.0 >> num.class => Float >> ex = 28.04.to_d => #<BigDecimal:105367e40,'0.284E2',8(8)> >> ex.class => BigDecimal >> num - ex => 1.6 >> _.class => Float >> I was hoping that the result should be 1.96, I know that perhaps doing an arithmetic operation using 2 different data types are not recommended, but this behavior is so strange. It seems to be wise that from now on, I have to check the variables data type before doing any arithmetic operation. Hopefully somebody can give me an insight on what was happening.

  • How do I debug a HTTP 502 error?

    - by Bialecki
    I have a Python Tornado server sitting behind a nginx frontend. Every now and then, but not every time, I get a 502 error. I look in the nginx access log and I see this: 127.0.0.1 - - [02/Jun/2010:18:04:02 -0400] "POST /a/question/updates HTTP/1.1" 502 173 "http://localhost/tagged/python" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3" and in the error log: 2010/06/02 18:04:02 [error] 14033#0: *1700 connect() failed (111: Connection refused) while connecting to upstream, client: 127.0.0.1, server: _, request: "POST /a/question/updates HTTP/1.1", upstream: "http://127.0.0.1:8888/a/question/updates", host: "localhost", referrer: "http://localhost/tagged/python" I don't think any errors show up in the Tornado log. How would you go about debugging this? Is there something I can put in the Tornado or nginx configuration to help debug this? EDIT: In addition, I get a fair number of 504, gateway timeout errors. Is it possible that the Tornado instance is just busy or something?

  • How test a Delphi app with Application Verifier 4.0?

    - by mamcx
    I download the Application Verifier 4.0 to test my App for check if could have problems on Vista/7. I run from Delphi 2010 debugger, and stop in CPU view. • Issues with Rails, Amazon S3, and protected URLs

    - by Shpigford
    So I followed this little tutorial about protecting downloads of files that are uploaded to Amazon S3 with Paperclip. When I've developed locally, it's worked fine, but since pushing the exact same code to a production server...I now get this error from Amazon when I try to access the files: <Error> <Code>InvalidArgument</Code> <Message>Either the Signature query string parameter or the Authorization header should be specified, not both</Message> <ArgumentValue>Basic dGVjaHVrdWxlbGU6ZWxlbHVrdWhjZXQ=</ArgumentValue> <ArgumentName>Authorization</ArgumentName> <RequestId>F6E455857C54F95A</RequestId> <HostId>X4QA2pw9wpHtJtJ2T8qxCyINjq4PLHQVF4VrlYjpX7Ayh694BgQprh5p8H7NRCAt</HostId> </Error> Example URL: http://s3.amazonaws.com/media.example.com/assets/videos/1/original.mov?AWSAccessKeyId=MY_ACCESS_KEY&Expires=1271972624&Signature=7wWH2WYHPO0o9szwPJbimUMqAig%3D That URL is generated using AWS::S3::S3Object.url_for using the aws-s3 gem. So...not even sure where to start. The fact that it works fine when the app is running locally but not when in production really doesn't make sense. The production server is running Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS (Hardy).

  • Is it possible to search locally in jqGrid with treeGrid installed

    - by Nehu
    I am using jqGrid with treeGrid. I have added a filterToolbar. I would like to search locally instead of having a server call. The treegrid docs say that, "When we initialize the grid and the data is read, the datatype is automatically set to local." So, is it possible to implement local search with treeGrid. I tried the below configuration, but it is resulting in server calls. My Configuration is var grid = $("#grid").jqGrid({ treeGrid: true, treeGridModel: 'adjacency', ExpandColumn: 'businessAreaName', ExpandColClick : true, url:'agileProgramme/records.do', datatype: 'json', mtype: 'GET', colNames:['Id' , 'Business Area' , 'Investment' , 'Org' , 'Goal' ], colModel:[ /*00*/ {name:'agileProgrammeId',index:'agileProgrammeId', width:0, editable:false,hidden:true}, /*01*/ {name:'businessAreaName',index:'businessAreaName', width:160, editable:false}, /*02*/ {name:'programmeName',index:'programmeName', width:150, editable:false, classes:'link'}, /*03*/ {name:'org',index:'org', width:50, editable:false, classes:'orgHierarchy', sortable : false}, /*04*/ {name:'goal',index:'goal', width:70, editable:false} ], treeReader : { level_field: "level", parent_id_field: "parent", leaf_field: "leaf", expanded_field: "expanded" }, autowidth: true, height: 240, pager: '#pager', sortname: 'id', sortorder: "asc", toolbar:[true,"top"], caption:"TableGridDemo", emptyrecords: "Empty records", jsonReader : { root: "rows", page: "page", total: "total", records: "records", repeatitems: false, cell: "cell", id: "agileProgrammeId" } }); And to implement the search toolbar $('#grid').jqGrid('filterToolbar', {stringResult: true,searchOnEnter : true}); Would appreciate any help or any pointer on even if it is possible?

  • Date format in SQLite - iphone - How ?

    - by sagar
    I know that - SQLite doesn't support Day name & month name. I have gone through this question. I have created two custom functions for it. My custom function for Converting Day name from day number ( %w day of week 0-6 with sunday==0 ) +(NSString*)dayNameStringFromDayNo:(NSString*)dayNo{ return ([dayNo isEqualToString:@"0"])?@"Sunday": ( ([dayNo isEqualToString:@"1"])?@"Monday": ( ([dayNo isEqualToString:@"2"])?@"Tuesday": ( ([dayNo isEqualToString:@"3"])?@"Wednesday": ( ([dayNo isEqualToString:@"4"])?@"Thursday": ( ([dayNo isEqualToString:@"5"])?@"Friday": @"Saturday" ) ) ) ) ); } My custom method for getting month name from month no string ( %m month: 01-12 ) +(NSString*)monthNameFromNumber:(NSString*)no{ return ([no isEqualToString:@"01"])?@"January": ( ([no isEqualToString:@"02"])?@"February": ( ([no isEqualToString:@"03"])?@"March": ( ([no isEqualToString:@"04"])?@"April": ( ([no isEqualToString:@"05"])?@"May": ( ([no isEqualToString:@"06"])?@"June": ( ([no isEqualToString:@"07"])?@"July": ( ([no isEqualToString:@"08"])?@"August": ( ([no isEqualToString:@"09"])?@"September": ( ([no isEqualToString:@"10"])?@"October": ( ([no isEqualToString:@"11"])?@"November":@"Decemeber" ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ); } But what about date following format. Sat 6th February How to get this kind of output ? Do I have to again create a custom function for it ? Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge. Sagar.

  • Ruby: what is the pitfall in this simple code excerpt that tests variable existence

    - by zipizap
    I'm starting with Ruby, and while making some test samples, I've stumbled against an error in the code that I don't understand why it happens. The code pretends to tests if a variable finn is defined?() and if it is defined, then it increments it. If it isn't defined, then it will define it with value 0 (zero). As the code threw an error, I started to decompose it in small pieces and run it, to better trace where the error was comming from. The code was run in IRB irb 0.9.5(05/04/13), using ruby 1.9.1p378 First I certify that the variable finn is not yet defined, and all is ok: ?> finn NameError: undefined local variable or method `finn' for main:Object from (irb):134 from /home/paulo/.rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.1-p378/bin/irb:15:in `<main>' >> Then I certify that the following inline-condition executes as expected, and all is ok: ?> ((defined?(finn)) ? (finn+1):(0)) => 0 And now comes the code that throws the error: ?> finn=((defined?(finn)) ? (finn+1):(0)) NoMethodError: undefined method `+' for nil:NilClass from (irb):143 from /home/paulo/.rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.1-p378/bin/irb:15:in `<main>' I was expecting that the code would not throw any error, and that after executing the variable finn would be defined with a first value of 0 (zero). But instead, the code thows the error, and finn get defined but with a value of nil. >> finn => nil Where might the error come from?!? Why does the inline-condition work alone, but not when used for the finn assignment? Any help apreciated :)

  • Problem Parsing JSON Result with jQuery

    - by senfo
    I am attempting to parse JSON using jQuery and I'm running into issues. In the code below, I'm using a static file, but I've also tested using an actual URL. For some reason, the data keeps coming back as null: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>JSON Test</title> <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js"></script> <script> $.getJSON('results.json', function(data) { alert(data); // Result is always null }); </script> </head> <body> </body> </html> The JSON results look like the following: {"title":"HEALTHPOINT TYEE CAMPUS","link":"http://www.healthpointchc.org","id":"tag:datawarehouse.hrsa.gov,2010-04-29:/8357","org":"HEALTHPOINT TYEE CAMPUS","address":{"street-address":"4424 S. 188TH St.","locality":"Seatac","region":"Washington","postal-code":"98188-5028"},"tel":"206-444-7746","category":"Service Delivery Site","location":"47.4344818181818 -122.277672727273","update":"2010-04-28T00:00:00-05:00"} If I replace my URL with the Flickr API URL (http://api.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne?tags=cat&tagmode=any&format=json&jsoncallback=?), I get back a valid JSON result that I am able to make use of. I have successfully validated my JSON at JSONLint, so I've run out of ideas as to what I might be doing wrong. Any thoughts?

  • python calendar to calculate month backwards

    Hi, we are trying to create a calendar function in python. we have created a small content management system, the requirement is, there will be a drop down list on the top right hand corner of the website, which will give the options - Months - 1 month, 2 months, 3 months and so on..., if the user selects 8 months then it should show the postscount for the last 8 months. the issue is we tried to write a small code which would do the month calculations, but the bug is that it does not consider the months beyond the current year, it shows the postscount only for months of the current year. for example: if the user selects 3 months, it will show the count for the l 3 months i.e present month and the previous 2 months, but if the user selects option more than 4 months, it does not consider the months from previous year, it still shows the month of the present year only. I am pasting the code below:- def __getSpecifiedMailCount__(request, value): dbconnector= DBConnector() CdateList= "select cdate from mail_records" DateNow= datetime.datetime.today() DateNow= DateNow.strftime("%Y-%m") DateYear= datetime.datetime.today() DateYear= DateYear.strftime("%Y") DateMonth= datetime.datetime.today() DateMonth= DateMonth.strftime("%m") #print DateMonth def getMonth(value): valueDic= {"01": "Jan", "02": "Feb", "03": "Mar", "04": "Apr", "05": "May", "06": "Jun", "07": "Jul", "08": "Aug", "09": "Sep", "10": "Oct", "11": "Nov", "12": "Dec"} return valueDic[value] def getMonthYearandCount(yearmonth): MailCount= "select count(*) as mailcount from mail_records where cdate like '%s%s'" % (yearmonth, "%") MailCountResult= MailCount[0]['mailcount'] return MailCountResult MailCountList= [] MCOUNT= getMonthYearandCount(DateNow) MONTH= getMonth(DateMonth) MailCountDict= {} MailCountDict['monthyear']= MONTH + ' ' + DateYear MailCountDict['mailcount']= MCOUNT var_monthyear= MONTH + ' ' + DateYear var_mailcount= MCOUNT MailCountList.append(MailCountDict) i=1 k= int(value) hereMONTH= int(DateMonth) while (i < k): hereMONTH= int(hereMONTH) - 1 if (hereMONTH < 10): hereMONTH = '0' + str(hereMONTH) if (hereMONTH == '00') or (hereMONTH == '0-1'): break else: PMONTH= getMonth(hereMONTH) hereDateNow= DateYear + '-' + PMONTH hereDateNowNum= DateYear + '-' + hereMONTH PMCOUNT= getMonthYearandCount(hereDateNowNum) MailCountDict= {} MailCountDict['monthyear']= PMONTH + ' ' + DateYear MailCountDict['mailcount']= PMCOUNT var_monthyear= PMONTH + ' ' + DateYear var_mailcount= PMCOUNT MailCountList.append(MailCountDict) i = i + 1 #print MailCountList MailCountDict= {'monthmailcount': MailCountList} reportdata = MailCountDict['monthmailcount'] #print reportdata return render_to_response('test.html', locals())

  • Why is MySQL with InnoDB doing a table scan when key exists and choosing to examine 70 times more ro

    - by andysk
    Hello, I'm troubleshooting a query performance problem. Here's an expected query plan from explain: mysql> explain select * from table1 where tdcol between '2010-04-13:00:00' and '2010-04-14 03:16'; +----+-------------+--------------------+-------+---------------+--------------+---------+------+---------+-------------+ | id | select_type | table | type | possible_keys | key | key_len | ref | rows | Extra | +----+-------------+--------------------+-------+---------------+--------------+---------+------+---------+-------------+ | 1 | SIMPLE | table1 | range | tdcol | tdcol | 8 | NULL | 5437848 | Using where | +----+-------------+--------------------+-------+---------------+--------------+---------+------+---------+-------------+ 1 row in set (0.00 sec) That makes sense, since the index named tdcol (KEY tdcol (tdcol)) is used, and about 5M rows should be selected from this query. However, if I query for just one more minute of data, we get this query plan: mysql> explain select * from table1 where tdcol between '2010-04-13 00:00' and '2010-04-14 03:17'; +----+-------------+--------------------+------+---------------+------+---------+------+-----------+-------------+ | id | select_type | table | type | possible_keys | key | key_len | ref | rows | Extra | +----+-------------+--------------------+------+---------------+------+---------+------+-----------+-------------+ | 1 | SIMPLE | table1 | ALL | tdcol | NULL | NULL | NULL | 381601300 | Using where | +----+-------------+--------------------+------+---------------+------+---------+------+-----------+-------------+ 1 row in set (0.00 sec) The optimizer believes that the scan will be better, but it's over 70x more rows to examine, so I have a hard time believing that the table scan is better. Also, the 'USE KEY tdcol' syntax does not change the query plan. Thanks in advance for any help, and I'm more than happy to provide more info/answer questions.

  • Cache consistency & spawning a thread

    - by Dave Keck
    Background I've been reading through various books and articles to learn about processor caches, cache consistency, and memory barriers in the context of concurrent execution. So far though, I have been unable to determine whether a common coding practice of mine is safe in the strictest sense. Assumptions The following pseudo-code is executed on a two-processor machine: int sharedVar = 0; myThread() { print(sharedVar); } main() { sharedVar = 1; spawnThread(myThread); sleep(-1); } main() executes on processor 1 (P1), while myThread() executes on P2. Initially, sharedVar exists in the caches of both P1 and P2 with the initial value of 0 (due to some "warm-up code" that isn't shown above.) Question Strictly speaking – preferably without assuming any particular CPU – is myThread() guaranteed to print 1? With my newfound knowledge of processor caches, it seems entirely possible that at the time of the print() statement, P2 may not have received the invalidation request for sharedVar caused by P1's assignment in main(). Therefore, it seems possible that myThread() could print 0. References These are the related articles and books I've been reading. (It wouldn't allow me to format these as links because I'm a new user - sorry.) • Insert a datetime value with GetDate() function to a SQL server (2005) table?

    - by David.Chu.ca
    I am working (or fixing bugs) on an application which was developed in VS 2005 C#. The application saves data to a SQL server 2005. One of insert SQL statement tries to insert a time-stamp value to a field with GetDate() TSQL function as date time value. Insert into table1 (field1, ... fieldDt) values ('value1', ... GetDate()); The reason to use GetDate() function is that the SQL server may be at a remove site, and the date time may be in a difference time zone. Therefore, GetDate() will always get a date from the server. As the function can be verified in SQL Management Studio, this is what I get: SELECT GetDate(), LEN(GetDate()); -- 2010-06-10 14:04:48.293 19 One thing I realize is that the length is not up to the milliseconds, i.e., 19 is actually for '2010-06-10 14:04:48'. Anyway, the issue I have right now is that after the insert, the fieldDt actually has a date time value up to minutes, for example, '2010-06-10 14:04:00'. I am not sure why. I don't have permission to update or change the table with a trigger to update the field. My question is that how I can use a INSERT T-SQL to add a new row with a date time value ( SQL server's local date time) with a precision up to milliseconds?

  • MySQL FULLTEXT not working

    - by Ross
    I'm attempting to add searching support for my PHP web app using MySQL's FULLTEXT indexes. I created a test table (using the MyISAM type, with a single text field a) and entered some sample data. Now if I'm right the following query should return both those rows: SELECT * FROM test WHERE MATCH(a) AGAINST('databases') However it returns none. I've done a bit of research and I'm doing everything right as far as I can tell - the table is a MyISAM table, the FULLTEXT indexes are set. I've tried running the query from the prompt and from phpMyAdmin, with no luck. Am I missing something crucial? UPDATE: Ok, while Cody's solution worked in my test case it doesn't seem to work on my actual table: CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `uploads` ( `id` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `name` text NOT NULL, `size` int(11) NOT NULL, `type` text NOT NULL, `alias` text NOT NULL, `md5sum` text NOT NULL, `uploaded` datetime NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`id`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT=6 ; And the data I'm using: INSERT INTO `uploads` (`id`, `name`, `size`, `type`, `alias`, `md5sum`, `uploaded`) VALUES (1, '04 Sickman.mp3', 5261182, 'audio/mp3', '1', 'df2eb6a360fbfa8e0c9893aadc2289de', '2009-07-14 16:08:02'), (2, '07 Dirt.mp3', 5056435, 'audio/mp3', '2', 'edcb873a75c94b5d0368681e4bd9ca41', '2009-07-14 16:08:08'), (3, 'header_bg2.png', 16765, 'image/png', '3', '5bc5cb5c45c7fa329dc881a8476a2af6', '2009-07-14 16:08:30'), (4, 'page_top_right2.png', 5299, 'image/png', '4', '53ea39f826b7c7aeba11060c0d8f4e81', '2009-07-14 16:08:37'), (5, 'todo.txt', 392, 'text/plain', '5', '7ee46db77d1b98b145c9a95444d8dc67', '2009-07-14 16:08:46'); The query I'm now running is: SELECT * FROM `uploads` WHERE MATCH(name) AGAINST ('header' IN BOOLEAN MODE) Which should return row 3, header_bg2.png. Instead I get another empty result set. My options for boolean searching are below: mysql> show variables like 'ft_%'; +--------------------------+----------------+ | Variable_name | Value | +--------------------------+----------------+ | ft_boolean_syntax | + -><()~*:""&| | | ft_max_word_len | 84 | | ft_min_word_len | 4 | | ft_query_expansion_limit | 20 | | ft_stopword_file | (built-in) | +--------------------------+----------------+ 5 rows in set (0.02 sec) "header" is within the word length restrictions and I doubt it's a stop word (I'm not sure how to get the list). Any ideas?

  • Rails with passenger only runs in development

    - by Ignace
    Hey, I have a problem on one of our webservers. I'll try to explain it as clear as possible, but I'm not 100% aware of all the configuration of the server. There are 2 sites running next to eachother (blcc_preprod and blcc_prod), so in the 'sites-enabled' of apache this i have a file 'blcc' like this: <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot /opt/dn/blcc/www RailsBaseURI /blcc_preprod RailsBaseURI /blcc_prod RailsEnv production </VirtualHost> My config/environments/production.log (from both) looks like this(I removed all comments, because it messes with the layout) config.cache_classes = true config.action_controller.consider_all_requests_local = false config.action_controller.perform_caching = true config.action_view.cache_template_loading = true config.log_level = :debug The weird thing is, that my production log dates from months ago, so something is really wrong. Could someone help? If you need more info, just ask. Thanks! Edit: Error.log from apache show the normal output for a event to the server (the situation here is that the webserver plugs in to another business (java) server via a framework) Access.log is empty Content from other_vhosts_access.log after we surf to ip/blcc_preprod is the following blcc.localdomain:80 192.168.21.194 - - [25/May/2010:08:33:04 +0200] "GET/ blcc_preprod HTTP/1.1" 500 594 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)"
