  • Eclipse: find resource on classpath

    Is there a way in eclipse to search the classpath for arbitrary resource file names (or patterns)? I know I can use either Navigate > Open Type (which will scan the classpath for classes) or Navigate > Open Resource, which will search for any resource type, but only in my project folders. Is there any way to achieve a combination ob both, to do a resource search (something like *.xsd) that searches all jars on the classpath?

  • UIWebview handle popup view

    I've a webpage with one text-box and one button. Click on button will show a popup for searching. On popup page,has 2 buttons, "Search" and "Close". Input the text and click Search, the result will display on a list on this popup, click on a row will close the popup and fill the value to text-box on main-page. On Destop browser, it works fine On Safari on iPad, it will open new tab instead of a popup but work fine. UIWebview in my app, on main-page, click the button, I will go to Search page, but when click Search button and close button, nothing happened, I know because 2 buttons will close the popup or the tab, but I don't know how to handle on my Webview, and also I can fill data to main-page or not?     I recently upgraded to 12.10 and was just checking for proprietary drivers to be installed. I found this in software sources When I enabled Nvidia binary Xorg driver, unity disappears along with the launcher and everything. I just have the wallpaper. I did manage to open the terminal and open software sources and select the nouveau display driver which fixed it. Question is how to enable NVIDIA binary Xorg driver and have everything working? Hardware: Apple MacBook Pro 9,1 Mid 2012 15 inch non-retina. NVIDIA GeForce GT650M EDIT: I tried the solution here. And now, when I boot into Ubuntu, I get a blinking cursor. That's all! No tty1, nothing. help !!

    I am fond of using gcc to compile small little C and C++ programs on my main computer. However, I also have a Raspberry Pi, and, being a 700-MHz single-core computer, I would prefer to not have to do my development work on it every time I want to create a binary for it. How (for I know that there's a way) do I cross-compile my program for the Raspberry Pi using my x86 laptop? And is there a way that I may compile C(++) programs on the Pi but produce an x86 binary? If it's any help, "The SoC is a Broadcom BCM2835. This contains an ARM1176JZFS, with floating point..." (according to the official Raspberry Pi FAQ).

    I have a Lexicon model, and I want user to be able to create dynamic feature to every lexicon. And I have a complicate search interface that let user search on every single feature (including the dynamic ones) belonged to Lexicon model. I could have used a serialized text field to save all the dynamic information if they are not for searching. In case I want to let user search on all fields, I have created a DynamicField Model to hold all dynamically created features. But imagine I have 1,000,000,000 lexicon, and if one create a dynamic feature for every lexicon, this will result creating 1,000,000,000 rows in DynamicField model. So the sql search function will become quite inefficient while a lot of dynamic features created. Is there a better solution for this situation? Which way should I take? searching for a better db design for dynamic fields try to tuning mysql(add cache fields, add index ...) with current db design

Given that Java 1.4 entered its End Of Life around 2006 and was officially End Of Life'd around 2008. Why is type erasure still being performed in Java 7, etc... Has the statement now become self referential i.e. Type erasure enables Java applications that use generics to maintain binary compatibility with Java libraries and applications that were created with Java versions that perform Type Erasure. Meaning therefore that there will never be a version of Java that doesn't perform Type Erasure.

    On the Google and Yahoo search pages, the URLs of the 10 search result links actually point to google.com or yahoo.com. The URLs have extra arguments that allow google.com or yahoo.com to redirect to the actual search result when the link is clicked. When the user mouses over the link, the search result URL (and not the google.com or yahoo.com URL) is displayed in the browser's status bar. I'm wondering how they do that.     Background Story I'm working at a software firm developing a test automation framework to replace our old spaghetti tangled system. Since our system requires a login for almost everything we do, I decided it would be best to use @BeforeMethod, @DataProvider, and @Factory to setup my tests. However, I've run into some issues. Sample Test Case Lets say the software system is a baseball team roster. We want to test to make sure a user can search for a team member by name. (Note: I'm aware that BeforeMethods don't run in any given order -- assume that's been taken care of for now.) @BeforeMethod public void setupSelenium() { // login with username & password // acknowledge announcements // navigate to search page } @Test(dataProvider="players") public void testSearch(String playerName, String searchTerm) { // search for "searchTerm" // browse through results // pass if we find playerName // fail (Didn't find the player) } This test case assumes the following: The user has already logged on (in a BeforeMethod, most likely) The user has already navigated to the search page (trivial, before method) The parameters to the test are associated with the aforementioned login The Problems So lets try and figure out how to handle the parameters for the test case. Idea #1 This method allows us to associate dataproviders with usernames, and lets us use multiple users for any specific test case! @Test(dataProvider="players") public void testSearch(String user, String pass, String name, String search) { // login with user/pass // acknowledge announcements // navigate to search page // ... } ...but there's lots of repetition, as we have to make EVERY function accept two extra parameters. Not to mention, we're also testing the acknowledge announcements feature, which we don't actually want to test. Idea #2 So lets use the factory to initialize things properly! class BaseTestCase { public BaseTestCase(String user, String password, Object[][] data); } class SomeTest { @Factory public void ... } With this, we end up having to write one factory per test case... Although, it does let us have multiple users per test-case. Conclusion I'm about fresh out of ideas. There was another idea I had where I was loading data from an XML file, and then calling the methods from a program... but its getting silly. Any ideas?

    Ok, so I will start by saying that I am new to all this stuff, and doing my best to work on this project. I have an employee object, that contains a supervisor field. When someone enters a search on my page, a datagrid displays employees whose name match the search. But, I need it to display all employees that report to them and a third tier of employees that report to the original employee's underlings. I only need three tiers. To make this easier, employees only come in 3 ranks, so if rank==3, that employee is not in charge of others. I imagine the best method of retrieving all these employees from my employee table would be something like from employee in context.employees where employee.name == search || employee.boss.name == search || employee.boss.boss.name == search But I am not sure how to make the orderby appear the way I want to. I need it to display in tiers. So, it will look like: Big Boss Boss underling underling Boss underling Boss Boss Big Boss Like I said, there might be an easier way to approach this whole issue, and if there is, I am all ears. Any advice you can give would be HIGHLY appreciated.
