• ASP.NET 2.0 files work in one folder, but NOT in another

  I am about to leap of a building. I have created an app for a client and all the files are in a folder on their D drive. Now it is time to go production, so I copied all my files and folders to their excisting classic asp folder on the same drive. BUT NOTHING WORKS. The only difference I can see is that DEV does not require HTTPS like the production site. I also made sure all the permissions are the same on both folder. I made sure that the GAC has read rights using the aspnet_regiis tool. I am at the end of my debug knowlegde, could someone please help me out. Here are the error messages I get from the application event log. • What is the best way, if possible, to send information from a Java PrintStream to a JTextPane?

  In Java, I have a package that translates XML metadata from one standard to another. This package is ultimately accessed through a single function and sends all of its output through a PrintStream object. The output sent is just a status of each file and whether or not it was translated. This is pretty fine and dandy if I'm just printing to System.out, but I'm actually wanting to print this to a JTextPane while it translates (kind of like a progress text box). It wouldn't be a big deal to just print the status after it was done translating the XML, but since there may be thousands of XML files, that's just not feasible. One thing that I've tried is to use a thread that takes all of the information from the PrintStream (which is attached to a ByteArrayOutputStream) and let it send any new information to the text pane. Unfortunately, this still sends the information all at once at the end of the translation. This does work correctly for System.out. • How to access static members in a Velocity template?

  I'm not sure if there is a way to do this in Velocity or not: I have a User POJO which a property named Status, which looks like an enum (but it is not, since I am stuck on Java 1.4), the definition looks something like this: public class User { // default status to User private Status status = Status.USER; public void setStatus(Status status) { this.status = status; } public Status getStatus() { return status; } And Status is a static inner class: public static final class Status { private String statusString; private Status(String statusString) { this.statusString = statusString; } public final static Status USER = new Status("user"); public final static Status ADMIN = new Status("admin"); public final static Status STATUS_X = new Status("blah"); //.equals() and .hashCode() implemented as well } With this pattern, a user status can easily be tested in a conditional such as if(User.Status.ADMIN.equals(user.getStatus())) ... ... without having to reference any constants for the status ID, any magic numbers, etc. However, I can't figure out how to test these conditionals in my Velocity template with VTL. From the VTL User Guide, there is no mention of accessing a Java class/static member directly in VTL, it appears that the right hand side (RHS) of a conditional can only be a number literal, string literal, property reference, or method reference. So is there any way that I can access static Java properties/references in a Velocity template? I'm aware that as a workaround, I could embed the status ID or some other identifier as a reference in my controller (this is a web MVC application using Velocity as the View technology), but I strongly do not want to embed any magic numbers or constants in the view layer.

  I have installed the pg module with help of gem install pg Which returned Successfully installed pg-0.8.0-x86-mswin32-60 When a .rb-file looks like this require 'rubygems' require 'pg' I get an LoadError (exception 126) which tells me that it can't find the module C:/Ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/pg-0.8.0-x86-mswin32-60/lib/pg.so. I heard something about that it is a Linux compilation. I'm really stuck so I really welcome suggestions. I have also installed PostgreSQL, I use Windows XP.

• NullPointerException using datanucleus-json with S3

  I'm using datanucleus 3.2.7 from Maven, trying to use the Amazon S3 JPA provider. I can successfully write data into S3, but querying either by using "SELECT u FROM User u" or "SELECT u FROM User u WHERE id = :id" causes a NullPointerException to be thrown.   This question might be long, but I want to provide much information. Overview: I'm creating a Stock Quotes Ticker app for Blackberry. But I'm having problems with my StringBuffer that contains an individual Stock information. Process: My app connects to our server via SocketConnection. The server sends out a formatted set of strings that contains the latest Stock trade. So whenever a new trade happens, the server will send out an individual Stock Quote of that trade. Through an InputStream I am able to read that information and place each character in a StringBuffer that is referenced by Threads. By parsing based on char3 I am able to determine a set of stock quote/information. char1 - to separate data char3 - means end of a stock quote/information sample stock quote format sent out by our server: stock_quote_name(char 1)some_data(char1)some_data(char1)(char3) My app then parses that stock quote to compare certain data and formats it how it will look like when displayed in the screen. When trades happen gradually(slow) the app works perfectly. However.. Problem: When trades happen too quickly and almost at the same time, My app is not able to handle the information sent efficiently. The StringBuffer has its contents combined with the next trade.   Basically, I want to be able to assign objects created within filters to members in a base controller from which every controller extends. Any possible way to do that? I get the list working with static items but I can't get it to work with the json items. • How to get Details on NullPointerException in JSP?

  I am getting a null pointer exception in jsp and I want to find out what line has the null variable so i can fix it. Is there any simple way to do this? The printStackTrace didn't seem to give me any relevant information.

  I have a question related to Prepared Steatement pooling (across all connections). Because of that existing Prepared Statements are removed from the pool of cached Prepared Statements. How to overcome this issue? I have to use idle-timeout-minutes because MySQL server closes the connection after 8h
