Regex for recursive "wiki-style" lists

I'm trying to create a Regular Expression to match "wiki style" lists as in (using preg_replace_callback() ): * List Item 1 * List Item 2 *# List Item 2.1 *# List Item 2.2 * List Item 3 Asterisks denote Unordered Lists while Number-Signs denote Ordered Lists. I'm trying to get this so it can match infinite depth and so that * and # can be mixed. I tried the following expression (and variations of it): /\s([*#]{1,}) ([\S ]+)\s/si But it doesn't seem to want to work. What am I doing wrong? Or is there a better way of accomplishing this?

jQuery .each or search function, how can I make use of those?

I have a ul list, with 10 items, and I have a label that displays the selected li text. When I click a button, I need to check the label, versus all the list items to find the matching one, when it finds that I need to assign the corresponding number. I.e. list: Messi Cristiano Zlatan hidden values of list items: www.messi.com www.cronaldo.com www.ibra.com label: Zlatan script (thought)procces: get label text, search list for matching string, get the value of that string. (and if someone could point me in a direction to learn these basic(?) stuff. tried to be as specific as possible, thanks guys!

INotifyPropertyChange ~ PropertyChanged not firing when property is a collection and a new item is a

I have a class that implements the INotifyPropertyChanged interface. Some of the properties of the class are of type List. For example: public List<string> Answers { get { return _answers; } set { _answers = value; onPropertyChanged("Answers") } } ... private void onPropertyChanged(string propertyName) { if(this.PropertyChanged != null) this.PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(propertyName)); } If I assign a new List<string> to Answer, then the PropertyChanged event fires as expected; but if I add a string string to the Answer list using the List Add method, then PropertyChanged event doesn't fire. I was considering adding an AddAnswer() method to my class, which would handle calling the lists's Add method and would call onPropertyChanged() from there, but is that the right way to do it? How to code a C# Extension method to turn a Domain Model object into an Interface object?

When you have a domain object that needs to display as an interface control, like a drop down list, ifwdev suggested creating an extension method to add a .ToSelectList(). The originating object is a List of objects that have properties identical to the .Text and .Value properties of the drop down list. Basically, it's a List of SelectList objects, just not of the same class name. I imagine you could use reflection to turn the domain object into an interface object. Anyone have any suggestions for C# code that could do this? The SelectList is an MVC drop down list of SelectListItem. The idea of course is to do something like this in the view: <%= Html.DropDownList("City", (IEnumerable<SelectListItem>) ViewData["Cities"].ToSelectList() )

Parsing html for domain links

I have a script that parses an html page for all the links within it. I am getting all of them fine, but I have a list of domains I want to compare it against. So a sample list contains list=['www.domain.com', 'sub.domain.com'] But I may have a list of links that look like http://domain.com http://sub.domain.com/some/other/page I can strip off the http:// just fine, but in the two example links I just posted, they both should match. The first I would like to match against the www.domain.com, and the second, I would like to match against the subdomain in the list. Right now I am using url2lib for parsing the html. What are my options in completely this task?

I'm one of those people who can't get anything done without a to-do list. If it isn't on the list it doesn't exist. Should the "AddToList" method have "ref" in it or not? And why? It's like trying to learn pointers in C all over again ;-) (which is probably why I am getting confused, I'm trying to relate these to pointers. In C it'd be "SomeClass *Item" and a list of "SomeClass *" variables)

I'm looking for an example of how to split-out comma-delimited data in a field of one table, and fill in a second table with those individual elements, in order to make a one-to-many relational database schema. C# Combobox and TabControl woes

enter code hereI have a TabControl on a Form and in the TabPages there are ComboBoxes. When the form OnLoad, I populate the ListItems in the ComboBoxes and the attempt to set default values to string.Empty. However, the ComboBox.SelectedText = string.Empty only works for the first TabPage. The other ComboBoxes ignore the command and take the default value as the first item in the list. Why is this so? How can I overcome it? Generic Lists copying references rather than creating a copiedList

I was developing a small function when trying to run an enumerator across a list and then carry out some action. (Below is an idea of what I was trying to do. When trying to remove I got a "Collection cannot be modified" which after I had actually woken up I realised that tempList must have just been assigned myLists reference rather than a copy of myLists. After that I tried to find a way to say tempList = myList.copy However nothing seems to exist?? I ended up writing a small for loop that then just added each item from myLsit into tempList but I would have thought there would have been another mechanism (like clone??) So my question(s): is my assumption about tempList receiving a reference to myList correct How should a list be copied to another list? private myList as List (Of something) sub new() myList.add(new Something) end sub sub myCalledFunction() dim tempList as new List (Of Something) tempList = myList Using i as IEnumerator = myList.getEnumarator while i.moveNext 'if some critria is met then tempList.remove(i.current) end end using end sub

According to documentation, in owned one-to-many relationships, order of elements in "owner" object collection is determined either by automatically created index field, or by information given in explicit ordering clause. I'm using two tables. First (friendlist), which contains users who are on the list of friends and the other table (members) that contains the basic data of the users. Friendlist looks like: id | myid | date | user ----------------------------------------- 001 | 50624 | 2010-01-01 | 32009 002 | 41009 | 2010-05-05 | 50624 003 | 50624 | 2010-03-02 | 23007 The column "myid" contains members who added other users (those from column "user") to their frindlist. I want to get the list of all users that I have added to list and those who add me to their friendlist. In this example, if my id is 50624, the list would look like: | allfriends | --------------- 32009 41009 23007 Then I need to check all users from "allfriend" list with data from the table "members". I want to get only the users with status 1. The members table looks like: id | status | photo -------------------------------- 32009 | 0 | 1.jpg 41009 | 1 | 2.jpg 23007 | 1 | 3.jpg How this mysql query should look like? Thanks for any help.

GXT - link two components height

Hi! I want to have a panel, with two columns. The first column will contain a list of beans, and the right one a form panel for editing those beans. What I want to do, is that list height is the same as height of the form panel on the right. My list of beans will be larger and larger over time, so it's height will probably exceed form height. When that happens, there should be a scrollbar showed for the list. I also don't want to set explicit size for list and my form panel (it should be flexible because some time I will add or remove some form fields). I'm basically new to GXT. Here's what I've got so far (PHP/STAT ... FTP/CURL): dev ino mode ... LIST * nlink uid ... LIST * gid ... LIST * rdev size ... SIZE (or better still, use from LIST) atime mtime ... MDTM ctime blksize blocks *How is FTP LIST used and parsed (preferably on a single file)? What I need most are the values for atime and ctime, there rest is to be filled for the sake of having full functionality. My end goal is to have a class for proper FTP access with streamWrapper functionality (so as to bypass allow_url_fopen). Cheers!

Hi all, I have a method void foo(list<shared_ptr<Base>>& myList); Which I'm trying to call with a two different types of lists, one of DerivedClass1 and one of DerivedClass2 list<shared_ptr<DerivedClass1>> myList1; foo(myList1); list<shared_ptr<DerivedClass2>> myList2; foo(myList2); However this obviously generates a compiler error error: a reference of type "std::list<boost::shared_ptr<Base>, std::allocator<boost::shared_ptr<Base>>> &" (not const-qualified) cannot be initialized with a value of type "std::list<boost::shared_ptr<DerivedClass1>, std::allocator<boost::shared_ptr<DerivedClass1>>>" Is there any easy way to cast a container of shared_ptr? Of alternate containers that can accomplish this?

Plotting a cumulative graph of python datetimes

Say I have a list of datetimes, and we know each datetime to be the recorded time of an event happening. Is it possible in matplotlib to graph the frequency of this event occuring over time, showing this data in a cumulative graph (so that each point is greater or equal to all of the points that went before it), without preprocessing this list? (e.g. passing datetime objects directly to some wonderful matplotlib function) Or do I need to turn this list of datetimes into a list of dictionary items, such as: {"year": 1998, "month": 12, "date": 15, "events": 92} and then generate a graph from this list? Sorry if this seems like a silly question - I'm not all too familiar with matplotlib, and would like to save myself the effort of doing this the latter way if matplotlib can already deal with datetime objects itself.

Hi, does BlackBerry has any possibility to track focus or scroll change direction? I will describe a case. On UI we have a list and some horizontal tab bar (tab bar at top and below the list actually). If User is somewhere in the middle of a list and decides to click another tab, it appears a little difficult to put focus on the Tab control, so User scrolls to the first list item and after changes focus to tab (as a result very long operation). The point here How to catch event of horizontal scroll to change currently focused tab? And after if you scroll (by trackball) vertically you go back to list. Possibly you can advice with the right approach how to resolve such issues? Thanks Lyubomyr

Consolidating data in SharePoint from different sites based on variable site naming

Hi, am working on a project where I want to pull data from different lists in SharePoint and have these data imported into a single list. The list has the same attribute everywhere; it is located in different sites. I have a list which contains all the site names and URL to those sites. The idea is to read from this list all the site names and then go to each one of those sites and try and pull the information from the list under that particular site, in synchronies matter. Data that are pulled from last week’s process do not need to be pulled again. Can someone guide me in explaining what would be the best way to doing this solution? Am using SharePoint 2007

How can I select a value matching my input from a TypeAhead control using WWW::Mechanize?

So ordinarily the element I want to pick from a list would be populated on a page and I'd just find it and pick it. But I'm dealing with a control that doesn't populate list elements until some input has been stuck into a text box, after which it gives me a list of recommendations. For an example of the kind of list I'm talking about think of Facebook's "People, Places, and Things" search field. I want to plug a string into this text box, select the same string from the list of recommendations, and submit the form. The issue I'm having right now is I can't seem to get Mechanize to even recognize the field is there. I examine a dump of $mech->find_all_inputs and it isn't listed. Is this kind of field just beyond Mechanize's jurisdiction?
