• MonoDevelop: error VBNC99999

  Hi at all guys, hope someone is using Mono & monodevelop... i'm getting the following error when i try to compile an ASP.NET apps ported from vs.net 2008 Error VBNC99999: Unexpected error: The classes in the module cannot be loaded. (VBNC99999) This is the only error i get. I'm using 4 external assembly / dll AjaxControlToolkit.dll FusionCharts.dll MySql.Data.dll PostBackRitalin.dll I've added the dll in bin directory, then i've referenced it. I'm using Mono, because on my "old" computer (acer aspire t2300 buyed in 2007) run with linux & with monodevelop very well. With windows, visual studio is reeeeeeally slow.. so i decide to pass to mono.. Can somenone know something about that error ? Thank you very much. Regards !

  I wrote a bash-script to check if a process is running. It doesn't work since the ps command always returns exit code 1. When I run the ps command from the command-line, the $? is correctly set, but within the script it is always 1. • "Disabled use of AcceptEx() WinSock2 API" error on Windows 7 using Tomcat

  When starting Tomcat 6 on Windows 7 Enterprise with JRE 6 using C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\bin\tomcat6.exe the application does not open and my event viewer has the message: "Disabled use of AcceptEx() WinSock2 API." The same installer of Tomcat worked on Windows Vista before I upgraded my operating system. Can anyone please suggest a way to fix this? The only site I can find mentioning this is http://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?p=4418 which suggests using this config setting "Win32DisableAcceptEx" - but it's for Apache, not Tomcat, and I have no idea where in what config file it might need to go in Tomcat.

  Hi folks, long night... can't get my second Celery/RabbitMQ setup run to work. step 1 sudo rabbitmq-server runs: ok! step 2 python manage.py celeryd -l info error: [2010-12-28 03:38:24,690: ERROR/MainProcess] CarrotListener: Connection Error: Socket closed. Trying again in 28 seconds... I have definitely: added rabbitmq user and vhost updated the Django setings.py Edit: I think it might have to with installing from a .deb instead of apt-get. After uninstalling the deb and installing the apt-get version I get this: invoke-rc.d: initscript rabbitmq-server, action "start" failed. dpkg: error processing rabbitmq-server (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: rabbitmq-server E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) Any ideas on how I could debug this? :|

  I have a .net visual studio solution with a number of projects (class libraries and a web application). I did some refractoring which moved files between projects, created new projects, deleted ones not being used and renamed some existing projects. The solution builds without an issue but when I run the web application, the following exception occurs: "Could not load file or assembly 'XXX.YYY' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified." The project called XXX.YYY which was deleted in the refractoring outputed a dll called XXX.YYY. But this isnt used anywhere in the application. I deleted the web applications obj directory and bin folder and rebuild but it still occurs. Anyone have any ideas when this might be occurring, any tips??

• cmake, gcc, cuda and -m32 wtf

  Hi all I figured out that CUDA does not work in 64bit mode on my mac (or couldn't get it running so far). Therefore I decided to compile everything for 32bit. I use cmake 2.8 and added the following options add_definitions(-Wall -m32) set(CUDA_64_BIT_DEVICE_CODE OFF) set(CMAKE_MODULE_LINKER_FLAGS -m32) However when it tries to link it it does something like this: /usr/bin/c++ -mmacosx-version-min=10.6 -Wl,-search_paths_first -headerpad_max_install_names CMakeFiles/SimpleTestsCUDA.dir/BlockMatrix.cpp.o CMakeFiles/SimpleTestsCUDA.dir/Matrix.cpp.o ./SimpleTestsCUDA_generated_SimpleTests.cu.o ./SimpleTestsCUDA_generated_BlockMatrix.cu.o -o SimpleTestsCUDA /usr/local/cuda/lib/libcudart.dylib /usr/local/cuda/lib/libcuda.dylib Which fails with a lot of "file is not of required architecture" warnings from ld. Now if I add manually -m32 to the command above it works. However I have no idea how to teach cmake to add -m32 to every gcc (or ld) invocation. So far it does it for nvcc and gcc, but not for linking..

• Amazon AWS s3fs mount problem on Fedora 14

  I successfully compiled and installed s3fs (http://code.google.com/p/s3fs/) on my Fedora 14 machine. I included the password credentials in /etc/ as specified in the guide. When I run: sudo /usr/bin/s3fs bucket_name /mnt/bucket_name/ it runs successfully. (note: the bucket name is the same as the folder name in /mnt/). When I run ls in /mnt/ I get the error "ls: cannot access bucket_name: Permission denied". When I run sudo chmod 640 /mnt/bucket_name I get "chmod: changing permissions of `bucket_name': Input/output error". When I reboot the machine I can access the folder /mnt/bucket_name normally but it is not mapped to the s3 bucket. So, basically I have two questions. 1) How do I access the folder (/mnt/bucket_name) as usual after I mount it to the s3 bucket and 2) How can I keep it mounted even after machine restart. Regards

• Where is my classpath being set?

  Whenever I open a Bash shell, my classpath is "someProgram". I know that adding an export entry to ".bashrc" changes my classpath, but I want to know where "someProgram" is being added to the classpath (it's not in ".bashrc"). Is there a way to track down where this is being set, or some typical spots I should be checking besides ".bashrc"? Details: I'm using Ubuntu 9.10.   I have a post-update hook on my server, such that when I git push it does a pull on the live web directory. However, while the push always succeeds, the post-update hook sometimes fails.   Hi, I've seen this error with different variations on discussion forums but being a non programmer I'm not sure how to progress this. Basically I have code which I found to help me with changing the background colors of cells on a grouped uitableview. The code introduced a line as such: CGContextAddArcToPoint(c, minx, miny, midx, miny, ROUND_SIZE); This gave an error indicated that it wasn't declared, so I added to my .h file the following under import uikit: #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> #define ROUND_SIZE 10 Now it shows that I have an error: Command/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/gcc-4.2 failed with exit code 1 iphone Some discussions talk about libraries but because I don't have a programming background I don't understand what to do. I also see that some people show a log output but I'm not sure where that comes from as I don't get any debug windows because I'm guessing it doesn't get that far. I simply click 'Build and Go' and I get this error in the Message window. Any thoughts?

• Simple VM That allows booting from folder or disk

  I was wondering if there was a very simple and free virtual machine that would allow you to boot from a folder or disk image that couldn't damage my hard disk. I am using a MacBook and am looking into operating system programming. I found a tutorial on the internet that looked promising (http://www.viralpatel.net/taj/tutorial/hello_world_bootloader.php). I want to try this but using a VM instead of actually booting from a disk. If I made a folder or disk image containing the boot.bin file and wanted to try the OS I made (while booting from a folder or disk image, not a disk), is there a VM that would let me do it? I have no previous experience with virtual machines. I also want to be sure my hard disk would not be damaged.
