It's all set to run on IE-7 standards mode (I'm targeting IE7 and above). I know about the separate z-stacks of IE, so by default the third DIV should be beneath the second DIV. To fix this problem there is some Javascript which sets the z-orders of first and third DIV to 1000, and the z-order of the second DIV to 999. Unfortunately this does not help. If the z-indexes were set in markup, this would work, but why not from JS? Note: This problem does not exist in IE8 standards mode, but I'm targetting IE7, so I can't rely on that. Also, if you save this to your hard drive and then open it up, at first IE complains something about ActiveX and stuff. After you wave it away, everything works as expected. But if you refresh the page, the problem is there again.

  • PHP Image Upload object won't create directory on windows

    I'm writing a class that excepts a product_id and a $_FILES array as it's constructor. The class saves these variables and uses them to create a new directory named by product_id and attempts to copy the temp file to my specified directory.   • Why aren't min-width and max-width working as I expect?

    I'm trying to adjust a CSS page layout using min-width and max-width. To simplify the problem, I made this test page. What does min-width mean if the element will happily get narrower than that if the browser window keeps shrinking? Is there any way to achieve what I want: have these elements sit side-by-side, happily shrinking until they reach 200px each, and only then adjust the layout so that the second one drops down? And of course... What am I doing wrong?

Because I was worried about the out-of-the-box logging system's performance. Then I made some test. Especially with log4j. Don't forget that: in every cycle the run method not just log into the file, it has to concatenate strings (name + ": " + i), and check an if test (i == 9999). When threadsNumber is 10, there are 100.000 loggings and if tests and concatenations. When it is 100, there are 1.000.000 loggings and if tests and concatenations. (I've read somewhere JVM uses StringBuilder's append for concatenation, not simple concatenation). Did I missed something? Am I doing something wrong? Did I forget any factor that could decrease the performance? If these figures are correct I think, I don't have to worry about log4j's performance even if I heavily log, do I?

  • Error when deploying WAR file

    Hi, I have a war file and when deploying it thro the admin console in websphere i am getting the following error after specifying the war file location and the context-root. The EAR file might be corrupt or incomplete. org.eclipse.jst.j2ee.commonarchivecore.internal.exception.DeploymentDescriptorLoadException: WEB-INF/web.xml Any suggesstions to resolve this issue? It seems like it should be straightforward but I just get a list of all items on all orders repeated by the number of orders. What am I doing wrong?   • Design time error - multiple controls with the same Id

    I'm using VS 2008, I have a very simple page that has a bunch of uniquely named controls. When I try to view it in design mode I get the following error: Error Rendering Control - Label12 An unhanded exception has occurred. Multiple controls with the same ID 'Label1' were found. FindControl requires that controls have unique IDs I've checked the HTML and the designer file and I can only see one control called Label1. What might be causing this?   • Creating a zip archive of the maven "target" directory

    Hi all, I am wish to create a zip archive of my "target" directory (${project.build.directory). using the maven-assembly-plugin seems to me like overkill for such a simple task (and a bit complicated - why must I use another file, the assembly descriptor, for such a task) I can't locate the seemingly more simple maven-zip-plugin in the http://repo1.maven.org/maven2 repository. Any input?
