    Hi, I'm learning CodeDom scripting, I started with http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/uploadfile/mgold/codedomcalculator08082005003253am/codedomcalculator.aspx Now I'd like to allow script modify the project's form (for learning purposes only). I suppose I need to create new field for a class I'm generating which refers "this". However I have no idea how can I set a reference for script-accessible object ... ? Or can I directly publish some class member (like "this" or "button1") to a CodeDom script structure?

    I'm getting some problems trying Google Geocoding service when using special characters like "º" or letters with accents. Whenever I try something like: "barcelona, nº 10" I get 0 results. But trying: "barcelona n 10" I get results... I suspect is something related with encoding. I tried this: geocoder.geocode({'address': encodeURI( $('#direction').val() )}, function(){} ); But didn't help. Any Idea?

  • PHP file_get_contents() behaves differently to browser.

    I'm trying to download the contents of a web page using PHP. When I issue the command: $f = file_get_contents("http://mobile.mybustracker.co.uk/mobile.php?searchMode=2"); It returns a page that reports that the server is down. Yet when I paste the same URL into my browser I get the expected page. Does anyone have any idea what's causing this? Does file_get_contents transmit any headers that differentiate it from a browser request?

    On my registration form i want to show a modal (of twitter-bootstrap) when the user has a successfull signup to tell him to check his email so i put "remote: true" on my form and render a .js.erb wich shows the modal, on my controller. BUT, in case of inputs errors i need to render the page as html to refresh de form showing those errors. Can I call the controller from the remote form as JS but render as html? (or any other idea to do what i want) Thanks!

I generally use CType (and CInt, CBool, CStr) for casts because it is less characters and was the first way of casting which I was exposed to, but I am aware of DirectCast and TryCast as well. Simply, are there any differences (effect of cast, performance, etc.) between DirectCast and CType? I understand the idea of TryCast.

    Hi All, I am trying to implement ScoreNinja into one of my apps. It all seems to work, but when I submit a score it replaces the current #1 score with any that I supply, even it is lower. This means that only one score is ever displayed. Anyone got any idea what I'm doing wrong? I have e-mailed the dev but he/they haven't responded.     I need a javascript to replace i into I. This should apply to cases such as i'm good. So am i. He though i love him. The standard ThisContent = ThisContent.replace("i", "I"); doesn't work because it replaces every i. I also thought of ThisContent = ThisContent.replace(" i ", " I "); but it doesn't work for the first and second case. Any idea?
