How can I keep Oracle SQL Developer from closing the DB connection?

Is there any way to keep Oracle SQL Developer from closing my DB connections, or to increase the timeout? Sometimes during a long-running query SQL Dev will just close the connection, leaving my query running on the server but me with no results. If I RDP into the server and run SQL Dev locally it never seems to have this problem.

iPhone: CPU power to do DSP/Fourier transform/frequency domain?

I want to analyze MIC audio on an ongoing basis (not just a snipper or prerecorded sample), and display frequency graph and filter out certain aspects of the audio. Is the iPhone powerful enough for that? I suspect the answer is a yes, given the Google and iPhone voice recognition, Shazaam and other music recognition apps, and guitar tuner apps out there. However, I don't know what limitations I'll have to deal with. Anyone play around with this area?

I am looking to store the files in CloudFront (in a bucket marked to stream) and would like to have an iphone app be able to play them. Is this possible, or am I better off storing the files as mp3 on CloudFront and not enabling streaming via RTMP?

I know that you can specify device capabilities in the Info.plist file to restrict your app to certain devices, but how can I do this to prevent the unfinished universal version from appearing in the iPad store? Is checking the LSRequiresiPhoneOS BOOL entry (in the Info.plist file) enough? Thanks!

Apple doesn't want anyone to create iPhone apps outside of the Xcode/Objective-C environment. How can they actually enforce this? If the non Xcode IDE, for example Unity, compiles to an iPhone executable, how will Apple know which dev environment you used to create the app? Can they have Xcode compile some sort of signature into the executable that no one knows about?
