  • iPhone & iPad versions of same app?

    I have an iPhone app and would like to create iPad version of it. What is the best way to setup the project when you want an iPhone and iPad version of the app? I don't see that I'm able to use the same code base since the iPad version will have features in it that the iPhone version doesn't. It seems as though maintenance is going to go up with two similar code bases for the same app.

I just started to use django and I don't know, maybe because of this reason, I cannot figure out how to switch between languages on template side.     I have created installation package for my project, but before or after installation is complete i need to install some drivers and copy some files to target machine, before my software can run. Is it possible for me to do all this action in the MSI installer setup project of visual studio 2005. One option i have explored is using autoITscript, is there a better approach than that? i feel able to do the whole thing in visual studio would be an ideal way? any suggestions? Thanks

Example of what I mean: index.php ------ With the ajax calls Should I have one file such as 'ajax.php' that has functions for update, delete, and edit. Or should I have update.php, delete.php, and edit.php?

  • When using a mocking framework and MSPEC where do you set your stubs

    I am relatively new to using MSpec and as I write more and more tests it becomes obvious to reduce duplication you often have to use a base class for your setup as per Rob Conery's article I am happy with using the AssertWasCalled method to verify my expectations, but where do you set up a stub's return value, I find it useful to set the context in the base class injecting my dependencies but that (I think) means that I need to set my stubs up in the Because delegate which just feels wrong. Is there a better approach I am missing?

    I have netbeans 6.8 with java ME platform setup on my ubuntu 9.10. My code requires the package org.netbeans.microedition.lcdui which is either not installed or not in the path.   • PartialResultException when authenticating over LDAP with Acegi and Grails

    I'm trying to setup our new Grails application to authenticate via LDAP. From the logs we can see that Acegi is binding to the LDAP store, then is able to find the user given the correct credentials, and finally begins searching for roles. The authentication fails due to a PartialResultException. I'm aware that the default LDAP provider in Acegi has an option to ignore PartialResultExceptions, but I'm not exactly sure how to turn that on in Grails.

    I'm writing a highly parallel application that's multithreaded. I've already got an SSE accelerated thread class written. If I were to write an MMX accelerated thread class, then run both at the same time (one SSE thread and one MMX thread per core) would the performance improve noticeably? I would think that this setup would help hide memory latency, but I'd like to be sure before I start pouring time into it.

Once i accidentally removed the external harddisk usb connection then when i try to startup the ubuntu virtual machine again i get kernel panic.
