  • What is the use of different types of function call in js?

    I have seen different type of js function call like function aTestFunction(param) { // function body } and also: aTestFunction = function(param) { // function body } what is the difference in above to implementaion? Also, i found that jquery/prototype js framework uses the second implementation in most cases. Is there any special reason for that? Sorry, I am a novice so this question may be silly to someone but will be helpful me if any guru out there helps me with this silly question. Thanks in advance.

  • User Authentification on external machines

    Our website has been working and still works if we are connected to the LAN but now if someone is elsewhere and tries to connect, they are presented with the screen called "User Authentification" asking for a username and password.     Does anyone know of a stand-alone tool for C# code cleaning/auditing that can run outside of Visual Studio IDE so as to be part of a build. Or if that isn't possible can someone provide some guidance as to how to make Visual Studio part of a build process -- by that I mean it would be nice to run the IDE's Sort and Remove unused using statements on all files as part of the build, but even better would be an exe that can read the .sln, or .csproj and do the job as part of build system.     I need a regular expression for a list of numbers in a text box with carriage returns and line feeds, but no other characters. e.g. 1234 5678 5874 3478 I have this: Regex(@"\d\r\n${0,}?"); ... but it is accepting commas when I paste them into my text box: e.g. 1234, 5678 5874, 3478 Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? The other day I was reading a posting somewhere and saw someone being picked apart for this, for not properly "normalising the database".   • fire jquery .animate oninput only once

    http://jsfiddle.net/nFFuD/ I'm trying to animate the search field in this example using jquery, making it move to the top of it's containing div oninput. I was originally using scriptaculous effect.move to do this, but I couldn't make the event only fire once, so if someone kept typing after the first keystroke, the effect would stop and start again from it's current position in the animation for each additional keystroke, which is stupid. I'm new to new to using jquery so please, take it easy if I'm not making very much sense.

    a while ago i could comment any code in php with netbeans like this: /* * * */ I just typed /* ENTER and netbeans gave me that lines above. then when i typed @ it gave me a full list of all available tags (author, param and so on). i reinstalled my mac and since then it hasnt worked. someone knows why and how i can activate it? i installed the netbeans for php only.

Great that works If I place "£" in the string, or use [currencyStyle stringFromNumber] the text file will not be created. The "£" and the [currencyStyle stringFromNumber] works if the information is printed to a "New View" page on the simulator, pound and all Can someone please explain what's happening?

  • Is there any way to force an iPhone application to relaunch?

    Basically -[UIApplication openURL:] would be perfect, if it wasn't for the fact that it doesn't work within the same application (at least on simulator -- if this works on device someone please tell me). It's not a super big deal though if it just relaunches w/o URLness since I can obviously just persist some data. The goal of this is to essentially free all memory in the application and call all of the loading procedures.

    Hi all, Under Hudson, does somebody know how to specify a release tag name in a cvs checkout ? At the moment, i only specify the CVSROOT and modules names to checkout my project in my workspace. I tried to add '-r TAG_NAME' for each module name, but it doesn't work. I think that this functionality exist, so if someone as the right syntax/way to do it.. :) Thanks in advance for your help.
